Atmosphere: 90s vibe chinese restaurant. Super small parking lot so it can be a tight fit! The restaurant area was clean but I did not use the restrooms so I can't comment on that. About 10-13 tables. They can seat larger groups, I think one of the tables fit about 8 people. Service: I see what other people were saying about the tipping culture, they made it very obvious peering at the receipt at the tip amount I left. I left 20% so they didn't say anything. Refilled waters once and about a 20 minute wait on the food because they were quite busy with in person dining and take out orders. Drink: I ordered the sake and it was delicious and served nice and warm. Food: The food was really quite good, I only ordered the wonton soup and the hunan shrimp. The wonton soup broth was really good but I wish the wonton itself had more filling. The hunan shrimp was perfect, shrimp and vegetables were cooked really well and there was a nice faint spice to the dish. Definitely can't wait to come back! read more

Bao Ju - Hunan Shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Neenah, Wisconsin

I only ever order to go from here but the food is always exceptional. I have tried a lot of places in the area and have been really disappointed in the lack of flavor and quality of food. However, I am NEVER disappointed when I order from here!! Service is always very friendly when I call and arrive at the restaurant to pick up my food. I'm honestly shocked at the reviews being under 4 stars here. read more

Best food around! Always has great service and food! Haven't been disappointed with anything!

Best Chinese food in The Fox Valley, In my opinion. Always busy with a lot of take-out customers, which is always a good sign. Attentive, friendly, professional servers. Fresh, clean, white starched tablecloths. read more

Food was delicious & offered adjustments for vegetarian & vegan guests, When we will return to Neenah we will be sure to stop in for dinner!

Food was alright but service was abysmal. The lady who filled our waters was friendly and attentive. The older lady who was our waitress was rude!! She had a sour look on her face the entire meal, was very curt with us and at the end, she looked at the money left for her and said "that my tip?!" Holy sh!t, the audacity! Do better! Edit: after reading other reviews, it seems like begging for tips is normal here, and is even defended by management, as evidenced on another review. While I understand tipping standards, asking for more makes your entire establishment look bad. I'll never eat here again. read more

Full parking lot = Great Food Had a little extra time in my schedule today so thought I'd treat myself to lunch! I saw that the lot was full, only one open space, and I took it. Glad I did. Great lunch specials, great food and fast service! I'll be back! read more

I stopped by for a late dinner just before they were closing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I made a point to order quickly so they might have a chance to leave reasonably close to closing time. I had the shrimp kung pao, which I enjoyed. It exceeded my expectations. The portions and value were excellent. The shrimp were well prepared and the flavor was good. The tails from the shrimp had been complete removed, which is good for a saucy dish like kung pao. I was glad for the dried red chilies in the sauce. The building itself is nondescript but the interior is comfortable. Google had the parking lot entrance wrong, taking me to the small two car parking lot in back. read more

No one edited anything I simply "updated" my response since I can't "reply", I never changed my original review actually YOU are the one who deleted your whole first reply ....to now reply with this yikes. Guilty af again Your establishment was unprofessional by asking for more tip and that was 100% real!!!!!!! 100% where things took a turn!!!!!!!!! TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. Other people on your reviews have even said that. Tell your fxcking pos servers to not ask for extra tips, it could be SO simple! But since you don't want to pay them a living wage you want to put the cost on us. Cheap ass ! Go improve your shit company and stop wasting your time on yelp. YOU ALREADY LOST ME AND HOPEFULLY MORE PEOPLE FROM MY REVIEW. WISH I COULD ZERO STARS! NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS AT A RESTAURANT. read more

Best in the Fox Valley ~ generous portions & reasonably priced. The noon lunch is a great time to enjoy

Won a gift certificate and got to try this place on Saturday for lunch. Big portions and even came with soup and egg roll. My cashew chicken was good. If I lived here I'd be here often. read more

Great food and fast service. Love their house fried rice and sweet and sour chicken.

Food was good. Must give at least 15% tip because if you don't, the server will look at your bill and ask for at least 15%. Lol .. we are happy to dine somewhere else. This is our first and last. read more

I would rate Bao Ju as one the best Chinese restaurants in the area. Their menu is packed with delicious choices. The dining room is quaint and cozy. They have very fast takeout service and their prices are right too! read more

Very average Americanized Chinese food. I wouldn't call this good fake Chinese food but it'll pass for decent enough. I was craving moo shu chicken so the restaurant swapped out the standard pork for chicken. It's rare to botch moo shu but I've found that Chinese restaurants in the Fox Valley area use American store bought tortillas as the wraps for moo shu. This place followed in that unfortunate precedent as well. I also found very few chicken pieces in the container, mostly egg and shredded cabbage. Flavor was there but chicken was not. I added satay beef (on their menu it's called #509 shia-chia beef) because I was curious to see their take on it. Satay beef is usually a fav of mine so it would be huge if I found a place in the Fox Valley area who could do it right. Well, the search continues because this was one subpar rendition of satay beef. While I appreciate veggies because I am a veggie lover, this was more lackluster chunks of beef stir fried with a plethora of diced vegetables. The satay flavor really wasn't there. I didn't have high hopes, to be honest, but hey, a girls gotta try. You really have to lower your standards for Chinese restaurants in this area. read more

Enjoy the pot stickers and all the entrees our group had Friendly staff and lots of options to please a group read more

The food was meh for Americanized Chinese food. The one older lady helps staring at us. The ambiance was nice though.

We carried out beef lo mein, beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice, hot and sour soup, and crab Rangoon. I had to write a review because the beef was good quality. Too many times we try a place and you get a$$ meat. We all enjoyed our well portioned meals for dinner and breakfast. Will definitely get again when in the area! read more

5:30p on weeknights. No crowds and immediate seating. Their wine and cocktail menu was adequate but the beer listing was not that impressive. I ordered this Sichuan chili poached beef dish and it was disappointing. This dish was supposed to be cooked with lots of spices including chili peppers and Sichuan green peppercones. But it was cooked with lots of cornstarch and no hot spices. I am disappointed that we are still eating some not so authentic Chinese food in the area. read more

Bao Ju - Sichuan beef - Chinese Near Me - Neenah, Wisconsin

Love this place - Fried rice . Chop suey and many more dishes Lunch special available.. must try

Put in an take out order for fried rice, beef with snow peas, Crab Rangoon and General Tso's chicken. Beef with snow peas was not really flavorful but pretty bland. The crab Rangoon lacked any crab meat. The fried rice was manageable. The only thing enjoyable really was general Tso's chicken but the chunks were huge. If the size of the chicken was smaller then it would be good. I am from California and I know my Chinese food and this ranks as subpar. read more

We had take out from there, delicious and so much food. Definitely a great place to go. It was a little hard to find could use a little more signage. read more

We adore this restaurant. Their lunch special is tasty, served quickly, and a great value. My husband and I have been dining in since we started dating, so we've been happily coming here for 10 years! During the pandemic and with having children, we've switched to takeout more often than not, and it's still great quality. I need to eat GF and they are knowledgeable of how to serve me. This past Saturday we dined in with our babies; they recognized us and were so happy to see and serve our babies, too. The next time we picked up takeout, they returned to us a baby spoon we forgot there: they kept it behind the bar without us asking about it for when they see us again! They are simply outstanding: great food and great people! read more

Any time I work the Air Venture in Oshkosh several of us the Friday before the show starts head up to Neenah for some excellent Mandarin Chinese seafood. Never disappointed. See you next year!! read more

My son and I went here for lunch recently and we're glad to see the sit down area was now open for business. I've always enjoyed their food but not as takeout. We both had a great lunch the food quality was great and the service was prompt . Look forward to going here again in the future. read more

Chinese food not my favorite, but I go with my wife. Bao Ju has a good reputation in Neenah since we moved here. Their dining space is a little small, so they do a lot of takeout, but I enjoy the dine-in experience there. Last time we were there they had a nightly off menu special, which I always like for trying something new and different. read more

The Food, service and drinks are always a 10 out of 10. I love the Four Seasons I add extra garlic to it. Other favorites are scollop and broccoli in a garlic sauce, kung pow lovers and Triple Delicacy. We have never had a bad meal or service there and there carry out is done instantly. We will always be back to get more. read more

Everything was absolutely wonderful. Good, service and price. I am often leery of Chinese restaurants in small towns and was happy here. Will visit again next time I'm in the area read more

Authentic and delicious. Had the cashew pineapple chicken fried rice and wonton soup and steamed dumplings. All amazing. The crab rangoons could be improved but thats it. read more

The woman was nice on the phone so that was a good start. When my fiancé got there to pick up our food she was quite rude. It smelled good when we opened it, but the General TSO chicken was over cooked and there was literally like 4 pieces of chicken instead of bite size pieces. They were bigger than thighs. The egg rolls tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and had a spring roll outside not and egg roll wrapper. The chicken and broccoli had zero taste. Definitely will NOT be going back. One of the worst places in the area. read more

Probably would go 4.25 but I chose 5 because they are consistent and always fresh. If you find a dish that you like, it will be the same next time you get it. Regarding the Gen Tso's Chicken, it IS different here. It is much larger pieces of dark meat, breaded, fried and sauced. They do not come out like those little "nuggets" and some people may not like this, but we like it very much, it's moist and you get more meat than the other way. The sauce is very good. One thing we do not recommend: fried rice. We think this does not represent them well at all. Dry and boring to us. read more

Our food was delicious. We were served immediately. Prices are reasonable. The location is great as well.

Expensive pieces of meat should be priced and prepared well, but their duck was so dry I was literally drinking water to moisten/not gag mid-chew. Everyone else liked their food and the staff was friendly, so I'll wait till another day, but still really disappointed about that duck read more

just great service fresh food clean and cozy. the prices are very fair The scallops are plentiful shrimp tastey tenderloin the same I highly recommend Bau Ju read more

Want the best Asian food in Neenah? This is it. Superior quality, great flavor; love it!!!!!!!!!!

Impressed by this restaurant. Try this place! Great food and great service. I have been to many Chinese restaurants in many states, and this is one of the better experiences. Have I paid more to recieve something more unique? Yes. But, is this place a great option? Absolutely! This would be my regular Chinese choice if I lived in the area. read more

I was new to the area when a coworker said this was the best Asian restaurant she knew. It took a while but I finally went. I got a seafood combination dish, similar to the one I get at Dong Po's. This was about $15 where it'd be around $11-12 at Dong Po. I first noticed the imitation crab. After that, the whole dish fell apart. I was surprised that it cost so much when they used imitation ingredients. Dong Po's gives you actual lobster, etc... The flavor was pretty bad too. The shrimp were the worst I'd say. They weren't crisp to bite into but more like wet cardboard. Needless to say, I never went back, especially with those prices! read more

a friend of mine took me on a neenah food tour and this was the grand finale (another awesome stop was the dairy queen for their popcorn and butter by the scoop) - but I digress. Hunan Chicken is the best ever in the world, in fact all other Hunan Chicken will completely disappoint you. Did I mention the Hunan Chicken being absolutely delicious? Service is excellent, they're great with kids too. Come as you are or dress up - seems like either will work in the white and mauve dining room. I look for excuses to be within 40 miles of neenah so I can eat at Baoju. read more

One of our favorite Mandarin restaurants to go to with our family. Such an amazing little gem of a restaurant, it's never allowed you can actually have a decent conversation and the service is so friendly and kind. I have yet to have a meal I dislike and the servings are amazing so you always have a meal for a day or two. We are here a couple times a month at least!
