4 star based on other Chinese Buffets. There was some really nice things about this place. Not the biggest buffet, but most of the food was pretty good... especially the Crab Rangoon's ! Can't believe that a buffet would have such good Rangoons. And there were plenty of them. Of the other foods, I'd have to say that the peanut butter chicken and chicken and broccoli was my favorite. The buffet had about 15 entrees and a bunch of sides and 3 soups, along with white and fried rice. It was lunchtime so there was a lot of fresh food coming out, but I would imagine that like any buffet, if it sat for while it might not be as good. This was true with the egg rolls today. They brought out fresh ones and they were night and day compared to the one that I had earlier that were cold. read more

Saw the reviews, kinda on my way, stopped in. Small, in a strip mall. Small buffet. But good stuff! Not a hundred items that you only eat a few of, just 20 or so, but almost all great. Some things new to me (pork with mushrooms.) Some classics. All good. Also a lazy susan with sushi on it off to the side. Sushi just good, nothing special. But I would come back for the other items. And service was great- great for me, and over the top for regulars. Dinner is only a little more than lunch price. read more

Min Du is one of my favorite Chinese buffets in the area, if not my favorite all together! They have a smaller selection of food than the other Chinese buffets in the area but, what they serve is always fresh, hot, and delicious. And they change over their dishes frequently, guaranteeing that everything stays fresh. They have the best peanut butter chicken, in my opinion. The staff here are extremely friendly and they remember who you are if you are a frequent diner. The last time I stopped in I was greeted with smiles and "Hi how are you? Great to see you again!" I would recommend this buffet to anyone, and I have many many times. If you love Chinese food then you should definitely give Min Du a try! read more

We live in the area and have been to all of the Chinese spots, multiple times. Min Du is 100% my favorite Chinese buffet in Appleton! It's small, but intimate and never too crowded. There is not a mega selection like at some Chinese buffets, but has all the "staples" you're looking for are there and they are delicious and fresh. I think their specialty is the peanut butter chicken - it's SO GOOD! And the owners are super sweet and the price is unbeatable! read more

This is one of the best Chinese buffets I've ever experienced. It's a classic Chinese buffet, so not on the fancy side, but not like a cafeteria feel either, like some buffets. We went on Valentines Day. It was getting pretty busy after we were seated. It is what you expect from a Chinese Buffet. It is a smaller buffet with good choices. Many people suggested the peanut butter chicken. It is a good dish. Many of the dishes were ok but cold. As the night went on and it got busier I am sure the food was hotter. Haven't been to this place for almost 10 years. Went back there yesterday Feb 2023. The food was surprisingly good. A lot of choices, mostly chicken. Small selections of sushi were available. Lunch buffet was $9.99 and dinner $10.99. Drink was not included. The staffs were friendly. The food trays were small but always refilled quickly. read more

This restaurant has a smaller menu but with some items on it that they do really well and better than anyone else around. Diners who are familiar with cultural customs will recognize service details which call out customer focus. What I would like to suggest would be switching out one of the potato dishes with vegetables in a sauce for variety, taste, and value. read more

I have been eating at Min Du Buffet for roughly 4 years and after a lot of careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best Chinese buffet in the entire Fox Valley area. Right when you walk in the door, you will be met with fantastic service. Their staff seems small but they make up for their lack of numbers with unrelenting hard work and dedication to the customer experience. The buffet is refilled constantly and empty plates are almost always collected before you return to your table for your second round (or third if you're like me). On top of that, I can't remember a single instance of an empty drink cup inside of that building. Now let's talk about the food. I have tried everything in the buffet at least twice and I would definitely say the peanut butter chicken is my favorite entree. The peanut butter sauce imposes a childlike sensation within me after each eagerly anticipated bite. Needless to say, it's the kind of food I would eat to turn a bad day around. Other favorites of mine are the teriyaki chicken, Beef with Broccoli, and Lo Mein noodles. They also have beer. If you haven't been to Min Du Buffet, do yourself a favor and try this place out. We have been going to min du buffet for many years- this last march I went in to get a to go - well like many times things empty- fine you wait. ..was taking longer- I then sat down at a empty table and decided to eat 1 of my 2 crab rangoons I put in my container bc it was taking so long. Oh my well the owner- guy who is always there came rushing over and literally started yelling at me in front of the whole restaurant which was a bit busy- saying I cannot do that bc it is to go- just yelling - loud- I tried to tell him oh I am just eating one of mine while waiting- he said no you cannot do that- yelling! humiliating a person like this- people were staring at me- like what's going on- I said I was sorry but really? I also assured him I wld not take another- nope - having a hiss fit- Bottom line I paid for some food and left- he was a very rude not nice guy at all- his true colors really came out- all this time we thought ok but man what a terribly rude guy to do that to anyone- SO I WLD HIGHLY DISCOURAGE GOING THERE TERRIBLE HOW THEY WILL TREAT YOU. read more

This is pretty decent! It's cheap, and delicious. If you want to pay $13 for a buffet and have TABLES of food, go to Asian Garden. You get what you pay for here and while not a huge selection, it's damn tasty and there's more than enough. All the staples (sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, rice, soups, dumplings) are here and at a decent price. You can't go wrong! Every buffet can be hit or miss. Every buffet can be compared on a less than level playing ground. Min Du is humble and modest but they really are good. They do some things very very well. Others are just average, but with any buffet you are coming back for your favorites and filling in with little bits of everything else. My reasons for coming back time and time again is for sure the peanut butter chicken(best in town), pepper chicken and the fact that I can get some sushi rolls with my buffet. The staff is an experience like no other. The hostess is the most friendly/sweetest person you will ever meet. The gentleman behind the register and making rolls is a super kind person as well. They really know how to make you feel welcome. I love coming here because it is familiar, friendly, fresh and fast. The best thing is the price for an all you can eat, it's crazy. I was here with my husband and two grandkids and paid under $30. Told us that they ran out of sushi rice, so couldn't make anymore sushi for the buffet. Moments later, we see them making sushi for delivery/to-go orders. I saw plenty of rice in their cooker. Liars! Their pickled ginger was going bad, so we told them about it. The waiter's answer was that there are two different pickled gingers for sushi, and that theirs was the bitter type. BS! I am so surprised. We have lived in Appleton for almost 9 years and never went here. Just looked small and uninviting. Never went in till today. The hostess caught us both off guard. We're used to going to Asian Garden Buffet and being slightly disappointed and more annoyed at how rude and uninviting the owner was every time (we got there way more times than we care to admit and she is equally uninterested in her money making guests each time) The hostess/server was incredibly inviting and sweet. Treated everyone like family. I heard people talking about her there saying "she is the reason I come back all the time". The food was fresh and truly tasty. The selection was very very small but as soon as you tasted a few items, it didn't even matter. Dessert was super scarce but we had our favorite items instead. So good. The owner has NO idea how lucky he is to have such an amazing staff member. We are believers in this place. read more

What a disappointment. I can't believe the rating is high as it is. The quality of the food sucks- can they add anymore chemicals and MSG? Very unhealthy. There was 1 orange slice in a large pan. They are so cheap they barely refill many items as early as 6pm and it goes until 9pm. And when they do it's small portions at a time. They have somewhat of an underlying attitude masked with loud friendliness and smiles by the female employee. In this type of situation she talks over you and does not practice good listening skills when you bring these things to their attention. The dinner buffet it a cheap price. You definitely get what you pay for. I'd rather have less items on the buffet with better quality and pay more.
