Was on spring break from Toledo Ohio and we went to Panama City. This is about a 14 almost 15 hour drive. We were passing by and super hungry because we haven't ate anything and we stopped in and the line was long but super fat moving I was impressed! Panera bread, being a place to order bagels, tells me they don't have any to go cream cheeses for me. After trying to order a bunch of bagels for us traveling hungry girls! I said is there anything you can do? And the girl next to her said you can get peanut butter, is that the best you can do? So i cancelled my food order and they completely forgot about our latte. We waited and noticed everyone behind us got their food and where was our hot drink? It took 3 people to talk to each other to figure it out. Awful experience. read more

Ordered the Soba Noodle Bowl with Edamame at Panera tonight. It was almost worth the $9 to have a crack at the most tasteless thing on Earth. It's a big feat to get Asian soups to have no flavor. The most prominent flavor was chlorophyll in the edamame. It's not without its positives though, one benefit is that there's no need to Google the nutritional info for the soup because after the first couple of trial bites, the stuff will go uneaten. I'm not picky, and I'm not a review writer, but this was noteworthy. So bad. I'm always disappointed when I get dragged to Panera. read more

I fully understand that seating is limited during COVID; however, I do think it was unprofessional that we weren't told before ordering that it was going to be "to go" only because there wasn't enough seating available. Had they told me up front, I would have understood and either gone elsewhere or at least not ordered a drink. That should have been disclosed up front. read more

Very efficient operation here . I order online and pick up meals 10 minutes or so later . Their online menus are fantastic and easily customizable as well . The frontera chicken panini is the best sandwich ever ! The chai tea is fantastic as well . The directions on Yelp are incorrect though , turn right at the light instead of left . I love it here. This is my favorite place to come to. The food is delicious. Everyone is so friendly and the service is fast. I usually come here after my morning workout so I hate carrying my wallet and purse so it is awesome how they accept Apple Pay and they can just look up your MyPanera card with your cell number. read more

A great place to stop in and eat. It has a little study corner for people to come in with their laptops to study or do business. All of the employees are fantastic and are super friendly. If there's a mistake, they fix it right away and will even offer you something for free. Now I've noticed someone complaining about their bagel not being buttered. It is a to go order, and since to go orders are put in paper containers, they keep the food dry so it doesn't soak through the containers or bag, and keep the food from being soggy. To go orders are for to go, and not eaten right away so they do not want your food to be ruined by the time you get to it. If you want them to butter it for your to go order, you can ask and they will be more than happy to do so for you. Overall, the place is clean, workers are friendly, and the food is great. Disappointed that I ordered a bagel toasted with butter to go, and got a bag with a toasted bagel, butter and a knife, no napkins (my husband got the same bag but his actually had napkins in it). If I order it toasted with butter, it stands to reason I want the butter put on when it's still hot and can melt. And then I got asked if I wanted to tip the wait staff... I had to butter my own bagel. What did the waitstaff do to help that they need a tip? If I were staying, yes I would've. The food is good. Can't complain about that. read more

I placed an online order. It was ready for pick up when promised and everything was still hot and fresh. I gave it 5 stars because they have finally brought back my favorite soup -- the Bistro French Onion. Everything was full of flavor. Working in a bakery myself, I'm always a little hard to please when it comes to bread. Their baguettes were fresh tasting, warm, with a nice, crisp crust but soft on the inside. I came at a great time because I had been in October, and the food came out very slowly. Today, the cashier was friendly and helpful, but when I went up to get the food, no one spoke to me at all. I was trying to ask for an extra bowl but never got it. Overall, the food is fresh. The soup is always salty, though. I wish they would add less salt--customers can always add more. If you haven't been before, this is comparable to McAllister's. soups and sandwiches are the main items, although Panera offers more breakfast options such as cinnamon rolls and pastries. Panera is also pricier than McAllister's , or so it seems ( and the sweet tea is not as spot on as McAllister's. ) My most recent meal was the broccoli cheddar soup. It was certainly too salty for my taste, but I like that it was hot and fresh. The portion size is normal, but if you are really hungry I would suggest a "pick two" option. Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. The restaurant is clean and the service is fast, but they gave me the wrong order!! So frustrating because we got it to go and I didn't realize until we were already a few miles away. Too few employees. Food is your typical panera, though they do seem to have unique menus not at other locations, maybe it's a test store. Constantly short on staff, wait is long even with no customers. My order is always incorrect when I order to-go. Poopy-poor customer service. I had a large call-in order of multiple items including 8 bread bowls and four soups. The cashier immediately told us that they (Panera Bread) only had four bread bowls available and asked if we still wanted to place the order. We agreed that that would be ok and ordered other items to replace the lack. While on hold on the phone to pay, we overheard the cashier (female) and manager (male) talking in the back ground. We hear a mention of bread bowls, then the woman say, "but I've already told them 4...". The cashier gets back on the line to finish our order and charge the total owed for the 4 bread bowls and other items. After the food was delivered, we discover that there are MISSING bread bowls. We call the store to let them know that we're missing food from our order. It is only then that we were informed that our missing food was given to walk-in customers EVEN though we had called in prior to those orders. The worst part of this is that they knew that they had changed our order(given out for away) yet failed to relay this information. No. They proceeded to take our money, deliver our food, received a hefty tip and would have kept quiet about it had we not called them back. This is dishonest and unloyal. How dare they! read more

Last two online orders have been wrong. First one, I got a Green Goddess salad that only contained lettuce, onions and tomatoes (no bacon, avocado or chicken.) My order tonight was supposed to be ready for pick up at 6:40. It wasn't. Someone had packed the soups and salad but not the pastries. According to the person I spoke with, they pack the food first and sweets second. My bag got put over by the sweets and ignored. First person I spoke with could not have cared less about my problem. Second person (? manager) found the bag with food, said they were out of several of the pastries I ordered, substituted others and around 7PM, I got out of there. I also paid for a whole baguette that was not put in the order. My salad did not have avocado in it. I was given a gift card for Panera or I wouldn't have been ordering from them again. If getting your order correct means so little to the staff, I really don't want to know what else may go on in the kitchen. read more

I usually stop here for lunch on my way towards Birmingham. Easy to get in and out of and convenient to I-65. The food is consistently good no matter what you get. There is some good shopping in the area too if you have time to look around. read more

Terrible experience. I spent a lot of money for a sub-par takeout meal. When I got home: Chicken Noodle soup was LITERALLY 95% broth, three skinny noodles, two pieces of carrot, and zero chicken. A "toasted" sandwich was pale white and cold. I called, and the manager said toasted meant no color change to the bread, just a slight change to the texture. They should look up the definition of "toasted." This was my last visit to Panera Bread. read more

I love Panera, but skip this place. Not that the employees weren't perfectly nice, but it's a "test menu" restaurant. So the menu is 1/8th the size of a normal Panera, and everything you expect to find is either not server, or some horrible "revision" of what you want. read more
