1. Vegetable Chow Mein

Hole in the wall spot with decent service and reasonable pricing. Seems to be geared more towards pick up orders/take out than dining in. Can't beat the price and the food was still warm when served about 30 minutes after pick up which was impressive. The flavor on the broccoli in the vegetable chow mein was a standout.

Orange chicken, comes with white rice (not pictured).

Happy Lunar New Year! This is the first year that my partner and I truly tried to celebrate. I read about the best foods to eat and tried to order something close to eat (because I wasn't ready to try cooking it). I wanted to try a new place. I looked at different options. Read reviews. Decided on Panda House. We ordered chicken chow mein for noodles. Chose the pork potstickers for dumplings. Orange chicken for citrus, and well, because we like orange chicken. And almond cookies. I am very honest about my reviews and I can be picky with food. We have some pretty good Chinese food eateries in the Reno/Sparks area, and I would include Panda House. My partner is pickier than me, and he was happy with our order :) Everything was delicious and portions lasted 2 days! Our fortune cookies had great fortunes, haha ;) And the almond cookies are wonderful! (5 in order)

They always give great service, affordable prices, and huge portions. Food is always delicious, too it's in the perfect spot for me to grab my lunch while at work.

Food is and was amazing. We ordered for the first time and we were blown away how fast we received our food and how nice the delivery girl was. Definitely gonna order again on our next trip back to Reno. Good food, fast service and awesome people cant go wrong here. And the portions pretty big so a big plus.

Wonton soup with a side of bugs.

There were bugs in my wonton soup. It was only a small and I found two. This is so discussing, but, I went back and asked politely for a refund and to my surprise the owner told me that I probably put them in there in order to get a refund. There was probably more bugs in the soup but I was too horrified to continue looking. I will never go here again and I hope no one else does either. The owner is unapologetic and rude and does not care if her costumers get sick or even if they have insects in their food.

I can't speak for the rest of my family BUT I can speak for me. My daughter used to live in Sun Valley and recommended this Chinese food place for us to try. We drove over 20 miles round-trip to try it out. I ordered sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice. My chicken appeared to be all breading and very little of what resembled chicken. My rice was overcooked and had very little flavor to it. It had little diced up pieces of some kind of meat in it that had some kind of horrible seasoning on it. It was bad. My husband, said pretty much the same thing. I survived eating it but I won't order from this restaurant again. Not even if it were free.

Sesame chicken, orange chicken with streamed potstickers. Sooooo good.

It's been about 4 years since the last time, I tried the food here and since I was hosting about 10 people at my home, I wanted to serve something simple and cost effective. My goto for this is Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried mixed vegetables. It came in two trays and enough from probably closer to 15 people. So portions were good but the total bill was between $120-$130 about what I've come to expect here in Reno. Let's just say, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and lived most of my life in Northern CA eating quite a bit of Chinese food. This doesn't make my an expert but it would be fair to say, I am quite familiar with what is considered mainstream traditional Chinese cooking. But let's get to the food, with the caveat that I realize that everyone's preferences can vary widely when it comes to food. So my opinion is based on what one would find in Hong Kong and San Francisco. The chicken chow mein had all the correct ingredients, long noodles that were slightly thicker than say spaghetti, had the correct amount of softness without being mushy. Chicken was presented in slices and appeared to be white meat, there was some white onions thrown in there for some texture and flavor. Normally when I order chow mein, it isn't served with a brown "gravy". Not that this dish was swimming in it, but think of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Replace the red with medium dark brown and you get the picture. Now my guests who are Reno locals, thought it was great and flavorful. I would agree with the flavor part but it was much too saucy for my tastes. Would I try Chin Chin again for noodles? I'm not sure but the owner did state, they can make dishes any way I like, so perhaps I'll order off menu next time. The stir fried mixed vegetables is where I was most disappointed. Let's start with the ingredients. All were sliced in 2-3 inch pieces, which included button mushrooms, zuchinni, bamboo shoots, brocolli, carrots, and onions. This dish could have passed for a savory vegetable stew. There was a lot of gravy, so much so, that it colored all the vegetables brown, except for the carrots. The sauce had a slight "twang" to it, almost vinegar or worchester-like. Not my thing, I could not taste the individual flavors of the vegetables because of how heavy the sauce was. The brocolli was over cooked where the flowerette parts were pale. I prefer my vegetables to be just cooked, almost snappy. I would not order this dish again. No comments on the restaurant itself as both times I tried it, was for take out. So bottomline, would I try Chin Chin again? Yes but I will be very specific on how I would like my order prepared. Maybe for their lunch special.

From start to finish, it was an outstanding epicurean delight…read more Our group of five fierce women completely and absolutely enjoyed every moment and every bite of the beautifully presented dishes. The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

Made it through work but came home and wanted soup so ordered on Grub hub from Twin Dragon as close by. My order came quickly a bit earlier than predicted. Left on porch per my delivery instructions. Some green vegetable and a bit of shredded carrot and water chestnuts. Broth just right for me, not salty and flavorful. I added a bit of soy sauce and enjoyed about half saved the rest for lunch tomorrow! I ordered the large portion which said ten won tons. For that price, I expected at least decent portions and fresh food. I got neither. Right away, the tiny container of wonton soup raised a red flag. I asked the young man at the counter if this was really the soup portion for two people, and before he could even answer, another employee snapped at me and said yes--rudely, I might add. Not exactly a welcoming start. When I got home and opened the food, it only got worse. Nothing was fresh. The chow mein looked like it had been sitting around for hours--dry, lifeless, and clearly reheated. They also forgot one of the egg rolls, which might have been a blessing, because the single one they did include was greasy and borderline inedible. This place charges premium prices for cafeteria-quality leftovers and bad attitudes. $60 for a bag of disappointment. Do yourself a favor and drive a little farther--there is far better Chinese food nearby that actually respects your money and your taste buds. Avoid this place.
