a takeout box with a variety of food items

This place is okay for Chinese food one of the best things I think they have is their General Tso's Chicken it is so delicious and made to perfection every time. Their appetizers such as chicken fingers, shrimp rings, and crab rangoons seem just enough cooked to not be raw but could be cooked much better they are not crunchy at all. Food is ready quickly and even with delivery I have never had a super long wait. You can also eat inside the restaurant if you choose and there is a bar and keno as well.

First, I would like to say that I have been coming here for 40 years. I live an hour away, so when…read moreI'm passing through, I try to stop. It is usually a special treat. However this visit disappointed. Upon entering my party was directed to the lounge instead of the dining room. Observed several loud vulgar bar patrons and dirty tables not bused. Had to wait for waitress who finally came and took drink orders. Had to ask for food menu before she left with order. Disappointed that she brought me Jasmine Tea and not traditional Oolong Tea. Food came and was better than usual other Chinese restaurants but quality has declined. Roast Pork Soup good, abundant amount of bok choy and two pieces of roast pork but wonton were thin and not thick as past. Duck sauce on table was thinned and not fruity thick as previous. Gai Poo Lo Mein rich in soy sauce as well as fried rice. One restroom lacked toilet paper and other one had non working hand dryer with toilet paper scattered loose on table. Duct tape seen patched on carpet and walls to repair spots. May be some time before returning here as not the same quality as it had been years ago.

The interior is quite large, and while the lobby has a nice fountain, the dining area rug is ratty and the seats are patched with tape. Like American Chinese food, the best years are behind us with this place. The service was super friendly and attentive, at least. I started off with a pu pu platter, for no other reason than it's been a long time. The experience is just a fun as I remember, and actually all the appetizers on the platter were great, with the exception of the crab rangoons which are the, now typical, all cream cheese and no other flavor variety. Also ordered was a rice plate with more of the same appetizers, pork lo mein, chicken mei fun, and scallion pancakes. The mei fun was the best thing we got all day. It was cooked just right, tasted fine, had a little slip to the noodles without being greasy. The lo mein was too heavy on the propane, so the wok hei was thrown off. The scallion pancakes lacked flavor, e even with the ginger sauce, and the texture was too dense. I've driven past here on trips to Old Sturbridge Village in the past, came here just for the restaurant today, and now will have to resume driving by it in the future.

I ordered roast pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. Simple and delicious. I also got the edamame which came plain or possibly lightly salted - either way I put my roasted garlic blend on them at home. They seemed fresh and popped at the right time if you know what I mean. The rice wasn't full of the usual stuff you see in a lot of like foods around here. That stuck out to me. The boneless spare ribs weren't dripping in sauce which was nice. They also were also not dried out the next day for leftovers. I'd say this place is def worthy of the high reviews they've received lately! Seems unassuming from the outside- a bit smoky inside but not the burning smoky- a stir fry smoky!

Lee's Stir Fry is one of those places that's so good, you wonder if you deserve it. It's the…read moreplatonic ideal of a Chinese restaurant: fast, greasy, uncomplicated. Designed to be wolfed down over a bed of soft rice. The kind of place I THOUGHT I'd have no trouble finding in New York City, but which my husband and I actually make a special point of ordering from every time I come home to where I grew up. Vegetarian? Get the Szechuan bean curd. It's pillowy fried tofu in a spicy sauce, accompanied by all kinds of steamed vegetables. Their General Tso's tofu is generally the same thing, but no vegetables. I wish they had scallion pancakes, because I know they would kill those too. The veggie fried rice is great. My mom swears by the hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef. Come to their unassuming storefront with $35, leave with two entrees, two apps, and that sweet feeling that you got exactly what you wanted.

The…read morespace is simple, with small tables and picture menus covering the walls, but that just adds to its charm. Everything is made fresh to order from the thick, hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, and scallion pancakes. Ordering is quick and casual. You place your order at the back right counter when you walk in (for dine-in or takeout), and the cashier also acts as your server. If you order a noodle soup, they'll ask if you want green onions and/or cilantro. After that, just grab any open table and relax. We ordered a variety of dishes. Appetizers: Scallion pancakes: (3/5) nice crispy pancakes with scallions. Dumplings with pork and leeks: (3/5) tender dumplings filled with pork and some leeks Spicy stewed beef noodle soup: (4/5) thick hand pulled noodles in a savory broth topped with vegetables like bok choy and mushroom and some tender beef Hot and sour vermicelli soup: (4/5) very tangy savory broth with tender vermicelli noodle and ground pork. Medium spicy level Biang Biang noodles with pork: (4/5) their signature hand-pulled noodles are sautéed in a medium spicy sauce with pork. Overall this place hits the spot for an authentic Chinese meal without the glitz and glamour.
