I've driven by The Surf Shack many times and am so glad I finally stopped in. There was plenty of parking and seating, and the décor was lovely - at moments I almost forgot I was even in Narragansett. Johnny greeted us when we walked in and absolutely delivered with his cocktail recommendations. Theresa was equally amazing as she offered great tips and went out of her way to help me find gluten-free options, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be back soon, especially for the espresso martini and to check out the rooms upstairs! Thank you!

    Super nice outdoor seating

The Surf Shack Bar/Restaurant was a cute, cozy venue with great seating inside and out! We opted for the wrap around deck and the service was phenomenal. The drink and food menu was amazingly creative and our server was very patient with us as we explored the various options - she even brought me a sample of the ginger marg that I eventually ended up ordering as a cocktail, it was delicious. I ordered the Thai Peanut noodles as I am a sucker for peanut noodle dishes and it did NOT disappoint! Hubby got the Chicken Salad Sammy which was a ginormous sandwich with peanut sauce and came with purple potato salad - those were also delicious!! They were recommended to me by a family member and I will definitely go back! So many interesting dishes to try out - highly recommend!!

Wow!!! This place is a newer gem for dining in the Narragansett Pier. Lively bar and fantastic cocktails. We had the CRISPY ISLAND STEAMED BUNS- OMG delicious!!!! We have also tried the SURF HARVEST SALAD was also amazing. Actually all of the food is amazing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and service was good. A MUST TRY!

From the start service was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The drinks where pretty and tasted amazing. Food was to die for! Omg the scallops over risotto was fantastic! Definitely a place to stop in!

Review for the restaurant on site "Kitchen at the Shack." It is an awesome addition to Narragansett. Each dish was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our server was kind and helpful. The patio is super cute. Love how this restaurant brought a new cuisine to the area. It's a little pricey, but worth it.

Celebrating my birthday with friends we decided to try a place that was new to us. Happily seated on the porch, we ordered a variety of small plates. Everyone was happy but the Brussels and soft shell crab were two real winners. The crispy buns were offered vegetarian and regular style. Those and the beet salad were perfect for my friend's son. My only issue was they up charged for my lemon drop without asking if I wanted top shelf vodka. I was also slightly disappointed the only birthday treat they offered was a candle ! Overall, a delightful dinner with a twist.

Creative menu, warm staff, and great service. I love the decor too. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Narragansett.

What more could you want than Mexican brunch and outdoor seating? They're always quick to greet us when we get there and let us choose where we want to sit. I love that! Inside is really nice, although we've never chosen to sit there because we're usually down in this area during the summer. I had the Huevos Rancheros. I love the way they serve theirs with the fresh avocado, and the black beans on the side with the cojita cheese. Everything is always cooked perfectly and not overly seasoned. Staff is always very attentive. One of my go tos the Narragansett area. I would definitely recommend trying this if you like authentic Mexican food!

From a faraway place where a majority of the population would prefer…read moreto have everyone who speaks Spanish (that they don't personally know) thrown into concentration camps simply for existing, so the choices of this style of food there are thin, at best. There are one or two restaurants that are passable for the area and would probably be a solid 3-3.5 out of 5. This place is a 5 out of 5. This place could be a 6 out of 5 compared to my local restaurants. And believe me, I took nearly two years of Spanish in high school, so I know a thing or two about a thing or two. I ordered fish tacos and my wife ordered the enchiladas verde (green) as takeout. When I got to the restaurant, I was greeted by three (tres) lads whereby one of them promptly handed me my order. When I pulled the food out of the bag back at the hotel, I was greeted with an absolute masterpiece of culinary art, the fish tacos. The red cabbage slaw covering the tacos, mixed with the sauce was beautiful (bonita) and vibrant. The enchiladas verde looked just as good, but were less vibrant in presentation. It seemed like the chefs cared about the product they were serving to their customers. The rice that came with the enchiladas had a great consistency and not dry at all - I can't stand dry rice. My wife said the enchiladas themselves were flavorful and seasoned very well and not the "suburban white lady" kind of seasoning. However, she doesn't write the reviews - I do - so I will talk about the fish tacos. There were three of them and I got them made with the corn tortillas (tortillas). Any fish taco I have ever had has always been small nuggets of fish smattered through the taco. These bad boys were absolute units where the entire bottom of the taco was one large fried piece of haddock, covered in a somewhat tangy sauce, and topped with red cabbage. The sauce and red cabbage made for a bit of a messy meal, so be prepared to get your hands dirty if you order this. I would not recommend getting these (or the enchiladas) if you had to drive down US Route 1 at the apparent local speed limit of 75 miles per hour and expected to just chow on some tacos while doing so. By the way,, what's with that, RI drivers? It's not the Autobahn. I had a RideOn bus 5 ft from my bumper while doing 70 on there yesterday. Calm down (or should I say 'clam down', amirite?). Anyway, this food was very good and next time I am in town, I would like to go there and sit down to eat while trying to ignore the fact that half the people around me here sound like Peter Griffin.

Okay - that's fine. We said we'd put them in the car. As we arrive they proceed to say we canceled your reservation and now it's a 2 hour wait. We've dined at coast guard a plentiful of times and this was the first time we experienced this type of animosity from the general manager. (With our dogs as well). I understand it's peak summer, but to accuse me of stool and expect me to pick it up (amongst the many dogs already there) and then punish me off or a baseless accusation was the last thing I expected.
