My favorite place to go for pad Thai. They always give me enough to eat 3 times. Also love their hot and sour soup. Best one I've had around here. And top it of with some crab Rangoons. read more

Food is always great and fresh! Fast and easy to get food! Friendly staff! Reasonable prices!

Authentic Chinese food I ordered one of their special dishes Beef over green beans I requested extra spicy and they did not disappoint. The steamed veggies and shrimp was also a hit. The to-go rice boxes are packed tight! Friendly family run restaurant! A gem in western mass I would come back read more

I think this is the best Chinese food in Monson. The food always seems fresh and delicious.

The food was great, so tasty with great prices while being fresh. The workers are so kind and there is a medium to short wait on the larger entres and and the smaller things come out almost indtantly. the shop is also such a vibe it's so cute and the seats are quite comfy. Overall this is an amazing place to eat at. read more

Have been eating here for years. It was the only decent place for Asian cuisine. Not sure what has happened, but the food quality has plummeted. How do you mess up shrimp fried rice and eggroll? Let me count the ways. cold, looking and tasting like reheated from yesterday and no condiments, and a half hour of waiting for a called in order. Done. No photo, but imagine the container in the trash and 90% full. read more

I got general tsos lunch combo substitute lo mein with a scorpion bowl came out to about 20 bucks! This is the best general tsos in 30 miles atleast. Scorpion bowl was 8 bucks this is a single! This place is my new favorite spot I highly recommend! Locals agree I asked a couple before coming because I'm not from Palmer and they nonchalantly recommended like it is a hidden gem that has been here for awhile! read more

Normally we love the food at Wen Ming, but today we got sesame beef and it was not crunchy AT ALL. It was soggy looking. Couldn't tell if it was a soggy breading or fat. Even tried putting it on broil to crisp it up and it still wasn't good. Very disappointed this time. I give it $ stars simply because we have never been disappointed before. But this time it was gross. read more

The absolute best crab rangoon I ever had, and I have had a lot of them over the years. Further, my Happy Family was equally delicious. My wife and I drove 55 miles just to eat here. Service was excellent in a small yet cozy dining area. read more

Absolutely great food! Got red curry chicken and a spring roll for delivery Absolutely FABULOUS! DELICIOUS!

Got takeout for first time trying. Beef with vegetable dinner combination was delicious. The variety of vegetables was awesome to find in western mass. The cook on the vegetables was perfect, no mushy-ness, soft on outside crisp bite on inside. Love that there was more of the entree than the rice. My only complaint was a little lack of flavor on the beef with vegetables, wanted a little more spice or umami. Crab Rangoon were great, big pieces of crab and love the triangle shape they serve. Miso soup delicious & very very hot which was awesome considering it was takeout. I will happily drive past a few other restaurants to pick up here. read more

This was our second trip to Wen Ming and we were not disappointed. I had the Moon Shi Vegetables and they were the best I've ever had. They were crisp and tasty and the pancakes were light. My husband loved the Garlic Pork. The dinner portions were large enough to split for two people and we had plenty to enjoy the next day with lunch. It's a small store front size restaurant with six tables and the lighting helped with the ambiance. The sushi bar looked very fresh. The prices were very reasonable. We'd definitely go back again. read more

I have gotten take out a few times and the food tasted very good. However, the last time so got it, I picked it up. It is very dirty in the front of the house. I am concerned about what the kitchen looks like, if the front is that dirty. Although I really enjoyed the food, especially the bok choy, ai do not plan to order from them again. read more

Really good egg rolls - they are huge, actually - and soups. The shrimp and lobster sauce is better than expected (outside NY it's not always great) and the vegetable fried rice is packed with good, fresh veggies. Reasonably priced. Not fancy, but good, down-to-earth American-style Chinese food. read more

Had a staple in my fried rice, when I brought it back the man untwisted the staple, And said it wasn't his staple. Who the hell cares, it shouldn't be in my food. No I'm sorry, or that's terrible, just, not my staple.......Ridiculous, won't b going back there read more

My Husband placed an order for 4 people for takeout. The total was about $80.00 which is about average price so that was ok. But, the food was very bland. We ordered an order of chicken fingers, crab rangoons, And dinner combos numbers 12 (beef and broccoli) , 8 (Moogoo gai pan), and 6(general chicken). That was we got egg rolls for our sides and teriyaki chicken for one of them. And we got a large wonton soup to have tomorrow. We all said the rice was very bland but had a weird flavor to it that we couldn't put our finger on. The generals chicken was very bland but did have a slight sting (hot pepper) to it. The moo goo was very flavorless and watery. The chicken was slimy and had a weird texture. I actually checked to see if it was raw but it wasn't. But weird. It kind of grossed me out because it was so slimy. The vegetables in the moo goo were fine but overall I would never order that again. The beef and broccoli was bland and watery. The chicken fingers were ok. But not impressive. Average if you will. The crab rangoons were seriously lacking flavor and there was no sweetness or onion flavor. They were very boring. They were crunchy though but that's it. I'm really surprised with the ratings from other people with a 4.3 star rating. One comment says the best place to eat Chinese in the Palmer area. No way!!! You need to get out more guy!! Whew!! The only good thing we 4 people could come away with that was positive was the chicken teriyaki. But unfortunately there is nothing else on the menu that we would want to try to come back only for that so it's a big NO for us. I do not recommend this place. We will not come back. We love American Chinese cuisine but what we had today was a huge disappointment! read more

Looks totally sketchy but if you can get past the exterior and into the messy, nondescript interior, you will be greeted by lovely young girls and seated immediately. There is a makeshift bar and a sushi bar, and a few tables. When we recognized that they were practically overwhelmed due to the Brimfield Antiques show weekend, we almost left but ultimately devided to stay, and am so glad we did! We ordered so much food! Began with 2- A1 appetizers (4 crab rangoons, 2 huge teriyaki beef skewers, 4 chicken fingers, and a huge pile of bbq boneless ribs), and tom yum soup for 2. The soup was spectacular, and the A1 appetizer delish. Then we got vegetable fried rice and moo shi shrimp. We couldn't criticize anything! A few drinks for each and our bill (tip included) was less than $100 ! We even had enough to take home for a nice large snack! Check this place out!!! read more

Food is hit or miss. Might be great or not good. Service adequate. No ambiance as an eat in restaurant. Dirty and cluttered

Drive past frequently and always wondered about them. Stopped in the other day for the generals chicken, pork fried rice and chicken fingers. The generals chicken wasn't even the least bit spicy and was rather bland tasting. The pork fried rice was decent as was the chicken fingers. Order came out in a timely fashion and there is plenty of spots to park making it easy in and easy out. Restaurant was clean and the server was pleasant. The portions are great and I enjoy the pork egg rolls they add plenty of pork inside and make them very crispy .

Never disappointed with the food here, always consistent and very good prices. Looks rough around the edges on the outside, but don't judge a book by it's cover, I've had sushi here many times and have never had any issues with the quality. Scorpion Bowls are worth the money as well! read more

Great food real deal , good sushi and Thai and combos. Must try it all next time and ambiance

It has been a while since my last visit but they truly do an extraordinarily good job and have been very consistent over the years. The food quality, presentation, consistency and flavor are what sets this Chinese restaurant apart from the rest of the field. I might go so far as to say that Wen Ming is among the top five in the area. It appears they have a new and expanded menu and are doing more Asian fusion dishes along side the Sushi items they have always had. The Thai dishes coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, I can't vouch for the taste nor their authenticity but I will give it a run one day and write a follow up review. This little place is worth a drive from just about anywhere, why you ask because of the noticeable quality difference in each and every dish they serve. read more

Wen Ming House - Hope today was a fluke and not a trend as everything except the egg roll was pretty bland. - Sushi Bars Near Me - Palmer, Massachusetts

My husband and I were staying in Palmer for the weekend when visiting the Brimfield Antique Show and we stopped at the Wen Ming House for dinner one night. The building itself is a little questionable but the food is incredibly fresh and the service was nice. I had 2 avocado rolls, and the Thai yellow curry. My husband had vegetable spring rolls, a cucumber roll, and a vegetable noodle dish - everything was delicious and fresh and everything came out in a timely matter. I would most definitely recommend the Wen Ming House for anyone looking for fresh Chinese/Japanese/Thai food! read more

Newly opened today and I was their very first Sushi customer!!! YAY!!!! A couple of people made it in for Chinese before I did, but at least I have a small claim to their future fame ;) For being so newly opened they were a little disorganized, but they had literally JUST opened! I decided to give a few old standby's a try. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken lunch special with the crab rangoons and wonton soup. It wasn't a sickly sweet sauce like you expect from a lot of cheaper Chinese restaurants, but a lighter sauce that had a nice flavor. The rice was the best I have had in a long time. Simple, but without the ubiquitous frozen mixed vegetables that ruin so many basic fried rice dishes. The crab rangoon were delicious, a little sweet and perfectly cooked. For Maki rolls we tried the Philadelhia, the California and the Eel/avacado. Everything tasted so very fresh! The eel was sliced a little thicker than I prefer, but it was still quality. The Philadelphia was what you would expect, if lacking a little of the smokey punch I prefer...but that's just me. The California roll....let me just say here that California Rolls should NEVER EVER EVER EVER have carrots in them!......NEVER!...and their's didnt'! The final comment would be about the hot and sour soup. I've never had one that compares to Amherst Chinese Food, so I don't know why I insist on bothering to try it anywhere else. AS was expected, this did not compare. The seaweed flavor was all to present, and that's just not my thing. If I want to taste ocean, I'll go drink sea water. So in conclusion, give them a shot if you're in the area. They beat the other three Chinese food places in Palmer by more than a couple of points. I'm seriously hoping that the 4 star rating will hold..I NEED a local sushi place! read more

One of the best appetizers in town, their salt and pepper wings is a must try for anyone who loves wings!

Ok, small portions, been there many times before, but portions were less food in this take out order than previously

Food is amazing every time we order! We have never had a bad thing off their menu. We will keep ordering!

I have ordered now 3 times from this place and I can say without a doubt I cannot participate in financially supporting this establishment. The three times I ordered they got the orders wrong, (wrong order, missing items, cold food etc.) one time the order took almost 2 hours, once I received it they sent me cold beef without rice or the other sides and offered store credit. When I stated I wanted to simply get my lunch (no attitude or rudeness) the delivery person handed me the order with an attitude. The woman on the phone also gasps for breath as if annoyed when taking orders over the phone. The food is average Chinese cuisine but the bad service overall renders them a 1. If I could give them a 0 I would. read more

I like to get some of the same combination dishes and they always have the same taste and portions. The dinner combos are good for two small meals ( I like to get take out and the containers are sturdy- not the lunch ones as much). The veggies have a really nice flavor. I have not tried anything from here that I don't like. At work we had ordered half of the menu the other day and everyone loved it. Tonight I tried the combination S9- four seasons- it had shrimp, chicken, beef and pork with veggies. They all tasted cooked and a good overall flavor that complimented each other nicely. The white rice was just right. Not watery or dry. I tried Boston Maki tonight. It was ok but not too sure of the sauce on top.. it reminded me of mayo-good overall. read more

This wasn't the best sushi I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst, either. The Queen Roll was very good and I'll probably get that again, but the Philadelphia Maki was awful. I substituted the cucumbers with avocado, which was good. The salmon, however, was chewy and several of the rolls had hard pieces that I had to spit out because they literally were not edible pieces of salmon. Overall, the service was great. They were nice on the phone and very pleasant about taking my order. It was ready in just 15 minutes for pick up. It was a bit more expensive than other sushi restaurants I've been to. I will eat here again because it is the closest place to get sushi, but I've definitely had better. In fact, if you love sushi as much as me, try Ichiban in South Hadley (my absolute favorite sushi place) or Blue Water in Ludlow. It's worth the drive. My second sushi trip here I got my food delivered. I live right down the street and it took an hour. I got the Queen Roll again and it was just as good. I also got the Red Heart Maki, which also good. read more
