I placed the order online for takeout, so I can't comment on much of the dining in experience. But the restaurant was a decent size, the staff was attentive and the parking lot wasn't too busy. I usually like my mapo tofu with brown rice, which wasn't a choice here, but it was still enjoyable. I was a bit concerned that it was gonna be too hot for my liking, but when I got home and sat down to eat it, I was fine with it and whatever heat it contained. I love mapo tofu and wouldn't mind having them again if in the area, but would also like to see how they compare to other local spots.

Can't speak on the actual place and dine-in experience. My issue? The vegan options seem to often have some meat in them. My mapo tofu will often have some stray/scrap beef and what not in it, which makes it hard to recommend to vegans and hard to enjoy if you're not looking to eat meat.

The drinks eventually came, but the utensils never did we ended up getting them ourselves. We never had an assigned waiter just multiple people bringing our dishes. The service was so poor that I honestly can't even remember how the food tasted because the entire experience was overshadowed by the lack of attention and organization. We've always had a good time but our server today Brando (I think that was his name- according to the hostess) is the reason I am finally writing a review. Brando was so patient and never made us feel rushed even when we needed time to think. His hospitality felt very genuine and we were so grateful. The food was good, and they were very accommodating to my food sensitivity. The ticket times (wait for food) were higher than usual but it was also a holiday and we're not bothered by it personally- just something to keep in mind. We'll be back again. :)
