Yet, in the last week, we've been here 2x's due to great improvement, We've had the "Del Tacos" and "1/2lb bean and cheese burritos" both have been exceptional, way better than normal and the staff is very kind. There was one car ahead of me and didn't take too long. Once I got to the window they said they were waiting on my fries. 1 minute later I receive my order. I received burnt French fry's. Burnt flavor and dark in color once I looked at them. Then I reach into my bag for my soft tacos to find out the soft taco, the flour tortilla was hard on both of my tacos. Crispy flour tortilla. Like over cooked and left out hard. Covered in mostly sour cream. Both tacos were trash. Fries trash. Snack queso was the only thing I could eat and not because it was good. I add 8 packets of their mild sauce and it becomes a nice flavored dressing. I believe the secret sauce is called their garlic Mayo. It's great by itself but even better mixed with their mild sauce. Plenty of lettuce, ground beef, and tomatoes round out this salad served in a French fry to go box. It's a must try but be sure to request extra cheese and extra secret sauce. Del Tacos food is pretty consistent. I've always been a fan of the Barstow taco, its famous! Lately I'm really into the carne asada and egg breakfast tacos and vanilla iced coffee! Today's meat was overcooked but still tasty. Just can't beat the price either we got 4 tacos and one iced coffee for about six bucks. Service was good and the place was clean no issues there. I'm kind of a Del Taco connoisseur if there is such a thing. I have been to many Del Tacos and usually it is my "go-to place" when I am hungry for something quick and easy. But this Del Taco might benefit from new management or new employees because the quality of service and food is lacking big time. Hit the drive through and there were 2 cars in line ahead of me. The girls and I had just finished roaming around Old Town Temecula. After a night of partying hard, I kept saying I wanted Del Taco. There are only a few in San Diego so knowing there were a few here, I wanted to hit up the spot. Del Taco never fails to deliver. We rolled to the drive thru around 1 am and it took at least 15 minutes for the worker to get our order only because we were all a bit inebriated from partying and yelling all at once with what we wanted to eat. At the end, the workers provided us with all our food and then some. We asked for extra fries and they gave it to us without questioning. We spent about a good $35 to feed 6 starving women. Everything tasted great! My faves are always the chicken soft taco and the spicy jack chicken quesadilla. The chili cheese fries are also good but make sure you ask them to cook it without salt. That way you know they have to cook up a fresh batch for you! Just ask for extra salt to add yourself. A trick I learned when it was my first job there. read more
