Why was it creamy hello it was nasty
    El V.

The slowest panda ever invented they take CARE OF ALL THERE PHONEORDERS BUT NOT THE PEOLE THAT STAND IN LINE. They are more worried for the phone orders than the people walking in. So far I've been in line for 35min and still no service!! Don't waist your time go to McDonald

Busy day during lunch noon time! But service was efficient, the line moves fairly quick and you get your yummy noodles and entrees ! Enjoy!

    Need better management

I came for lunch and it's unbelievable they have a big catering order that they are working on , during lunch time and having like 5 people wait for their food it's not worth it seriously go some were alse they are more worry about there LA outfits then there customers in sane seriously

Didn't take one bite yet. This is how much beef they gave me for the broccoli and beef smh
    Devianna C.

I think they forgot to add meat to my order. I'm saying I think because I don't want to say they purposely scooped up only broccoli but they are the ones that scooped themselves. This plate was for my son, my spicy order would not work for him. I picked up to go and unfortunately was disappointed to say the least. I called and they said I could go back but I wasn't going to get all my three kids in the car to drive back they should've done it correctly the first time. They said I can go in and get an extra plate for free next time. However I have to bring my receipt. Well I no longer have my receipt so it's pretty shitty.

Orange Chicken w/Pork Eggroll, delicious snack! The eggroll was crisp and pretty meaty. Comes with Fortune Cookies & Sweet/Sour packets.

This is the place to come if you want your order to be thrown at you. And a manager to do nothing but say "sorry for the inconvenience".

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

Since its opening, Yunnan Restaurant has become a staple in our rotation for good reason. The pro-tip that I almost want to gatekeep is to go for lunch because that's the only way to guarantee that all of the best cold dishes are still in stock. My family's go-to is the vinegar potato strings, bamboo shoots, and sliced mushrooms, but we've recently also gotten into getting a side order of the peanuts with anchovies. The peanuts have a great sweet and salty roasted flavor and would pair perfectly with some rice. I could honestly be happy just ordered a big plate of the vegetarian cold dishes with rice, but it would be criminal to not order some of the noodles. The Sichuan style cold noodle is my absolute favorite item on the menu. It is vinegary, spicy, a little bit sweet, and super refreshing! The noodle texture is nice and bouncy, and the sliced carrots and scallions and blanched bean curds add a great crunchy texture. Despite being meatless, this noodle dish is absolutely satisfying and delicious! Most of the praises I sing are about this cold noodle dish, but their other items are also quite yummy. I enjoy the braised garlic seafood tofu dish, which pairs well with rice, and there are whole cloves of garlic that were braised with the seafood to be subtlety sweet and not at all pungent. Yunnan Restaurant really lives up to the hype!

It has since changed ownership and become a Sichuan restaurant, which I was very interested in trying. The interior design hasn't changed much from the former Lu's Garden. The dishes we tried were quite authentic Sichuan style. We ordered the Home Style Pork Feet with Lima Beans ($18.99). The pork feet were very tender and flavorful, and the lima beans added a nice texture. The soup was especially delicious, and the dipping sauce reminded me of what I used to have in Chengdu when I was young. The Twice-Cooked Pork ($16.99) was excellent! the pork wasn't too fatty and was very flavorful, especially with the green peppers. The Chengdu Pork Blood Cubes in Red Pepper Broth ($21.99) were also very good. (I believe the English name may not be accurately translated.) The Sauteed Winter Melon with Chicken Fat ($13.99) was great as well. Overall, Sichuan Sizzling really exceeded my expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the Sichuan-style food. We were satisfied with the fast service as well, and the prices are fair. I will definitely visit again to try other specialty dishes like Fresh Frog in Rattan Pepper Broth with Ginger Sauce and Leatherjacket Fish. I've had a few experiences at Rosemead where the food didn't seem fresh (like the clams), so I was hesitant to try this location, but I'm glad I did. Overall, the food here was very good. The only dish that didn't stand out was the beef fried rice, which wasn't as good as I've had elsewhere. Everything else was solid. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken, which had nice crispy chicken, and the mapo tofu, which was very tasty, though not spicy at all, so definitely ask for extra spice if you prefer heat. Service, however, wasn't great. We went around 3 PM, and it was pretty slow...just us and a couple of other families, but it still took a long time for them to take our order, which was surprising. I'd come back for the food quality since it was decent, but the service could definitely improve. I'd give it a 4 out of 5. We sat in a booth, so we needed to sort dishes around instead of using a rotating tray. The best dish was the shrimp with walnuts. Interestingly, it tasted a little more tangy than the other versions of this dish that I've tried before. The fish fillet with salt and pepper tasted decent. Even with a light peppery flavor, I didn't have any issues with it lacking seasoning. The beef with Chinese broccoli was good too with soft slices of meat. Lastly, I thought the house assorted seafood soup had a good broth, but my family liked the contents more than me.
