I have not been here in years and decided to have a go at it again. The noodles were good, shrimp was good, Rangoons were yummy. The chicken breasts were very dry. I will say that service was 50-50. It was not busy at all at the time we arrived. Servers were not as attentive to order placing details. But check out was quick and efficient. Sweet young lady held a conversation with us and made it very personable. Which is nice even in the fast food sector. Not a bad place. It was clean. Showed up a little too early, but we worked overnight and my mom was craving some kung pao chicken. The food wasn't ready yet, but we weren't in a rush. The manager/cook came up to us and prioritized the food we wanted, waited about 15 minutes but they made sure we were taken care of. It was nice and calm in the restaurant. The service was amazing, they were kind and patient with us. Honestly so good to be taken care of after an entire night of taking care of other. 10/10 would come again and again. Horrible customer service. I placed an order for pickup and not only did they get my order wrong, there was a long black hair in white rice. The manager Tina asked me to return it to correct my order, so I drove the 20min. Back to this location, once I got there. The cashier gave me attitude, and acted like I did something wrong, when I gave them my order back, he tripped out. I told him your manager asked me to return it. I came into this location today and I waited in line around 10 or so minutes before I was able to order and once I ordered and got to the register the cashier and manager (Tina) told me they could not take my cash for the order because the associate who takes the cash was on lunch. Keep in mind I had exact cash. There should have been a sign on the door warning customers during busy lunch time that they are not taking cash or at least a warning before ordering. I feel like management for Panda Express in general across the SA area is subpar, and I am not sure how it works (if each location is individually owned or if one person owns all within the region), but something needs to change. For this particular visit (02/18/22), the main issue I had was that the entire fountain drink machine was broken. I initially gave a benefit of the doubt because it was 7pm and I thought maybe it just occurred and it was too late for any maintenance team to come. However, my gf pointed out that all the bottled drinks were almost sold out entirely, so obviously this issue had been present throughout the day. Therefore, no initiative taken by any team members or management to try and fix the issue during the day. A minor issue was also that I ordered a 3-entree plate and they initially left out my 3rd entree, but obviously that was an fix. Still a bit of a nuisance in having to go back to interrupt the flow of other customers just to get my order corrected. Lastly, and I assume this is me just being out of the loop since COVID, but no chopsticks offered? Really? Let's just rename it "Gentrified Express" and call it a day. The retained 2nd star is solely due to how addictive the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp are. You could slap me in the face while eating there and I'd still return for them. read more

It appears this restaurant did their best during the pandemic. It's understandable. However, since reopening, it seems that they are focused on On-line Orders. You know, from those people who walk in wearing their little mask and afraid to walk in and wait in line. They didn't take phone orders in the past and it's causing 10-15 wait just to order. After getting my chance to order, they were out of most everything and I'm told there would be a 12 minute wait for most items. I had no choice but to leave. As did a man a few minutes prior. Often, after a well thought out review has been placed online, good leaders will either review the comments, decide if actions are needed to correct any deficiencies or continue business practices as usual. A few months back, I posted a rather quick, but complete accounting of my trip to Panda Express and was elated to receive a response from management about the lack of customer recognition upon entering the establishment and other items noted. A few weeks ago, I decided to give Panda another try and went in the day after San Antonio received a bit of icy/rainy weather. I should have turned around immediately when I saw the overflowing trashcan, but needed to use the restroom.... As I entered the restroom, I noticed the floors were nasty and wet, but could understand the conditions as it was raining a bit outside. What I won't accept is a bathroom with no toilet paper or anything resembling a piece of tissue to aid you in handling your business after you've completed it. I hastily made my way to the counter to inform the staff that the bathroom was missing toilet paper, to which I heard someone yell "Oh yeah... the Men's bathroom needs some as well"... Come again.... so you knew that the bathrooms needed TP but were too lazy to replace the empty rolls. Sucks for the person that doesn't have the time to wait for a roll to be brought.... As I slowly made my way back to the bathroom due to the slippery conditions, I patiently waited for someone to bring the TP. After a few minutes, my kidneys started having fun with me and I sensed an embarrassing scene ahead. I poked my head around the corner and gave a "Where the Hell is the TP look" and saw a man drop his utensils and take off running. He must have said something to someone because within seconds a young man came running with rolls of TP... I completed my business and was Too hungry to argue as I'd already wasted 10 minutes of my 30 minute lunch. I grabbed a Panda bowl and noticed the establishment was not clean and as empty as the place was, someone needed a stern talking to about cleanliness, dumping the trash and bathroom checks... Sad to say, I won't even let this experience reach the 1 Star rating as I'll never return. P.S. When we tried to order, only one menu entree item and chow mein noodles were available. The feedback we all received as we attempted to order, was that no additional food would be cooked. I had to return to The Forum after having had already been there earlier today. Not a happy camper, let me tell you! I stopped at this location because it was convenient and was greeted by a long line. There were just two employees working the line, but they seemed to be efficient. The first gentleman (whose name I can't remember) told me the chow mein would take two minutes to be ready. He asked if that was okay, and if he could serve the customer behind me while the side order was being made. I thought that was very nice of him, and I said yes to both. My frustration level dropped a little. The second employee, Van, rang up orders then helped his coworker. Even though it was busy, they kept smiling and maintained a positive attitude. Van rang up my order, and even took the time to ask about my day, despite the growing line behind me.
