Famous Wok may not warrant its name. More like, Decent Wok or Pretty Satisfying Wok. Maybe even Good Place to Get Mall Food Wok. But I don't think the word famous applies. That said, this place really is a good little restaurant to hit up if you are looking for some respite from the teenagers milling about Rolling Oaks mall. The staff is super friendly, offering samples of their meat choices to lure people in. They have the menu set up a lot like a Panda Express. I got a drink, stir fry and two entrees for just over $7. The entrees I had were actually pretty good and didn't taste like they had been sitting out under a heat lamp for the majority of the day (which they might have been, but at least they didn't taste that way!). I had the sesame chicken and some shrimp dish, both of which were pretty good for on-the-go Chinese food. I wouldn't mind grabbing something here again. The food was satisfying and came in good sized portions. Famous? No, but definitely a fine place to get filled.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

Wah Kee remains my go to for comfort Chinese food. After having spent years faithfully going to the…read moresame Chinese restaurant because it was close to my house and not realizing that the food quality had gone down remarkably, we decided to try a different place and here we are. It's been about a year or so since we've been coming here fairly regularly and I really cannot complain about anything specific. Most meals are excellent with a I miss now and then, but overall, I would never complain about that. The price of their meals seem to be stuck in a world without crazy tyrant leaders, and inflation out the roof, though I don't know for how much longer that will remain. Wah Kee! Stay true to who you are and you'll always have happy people coming back to you!

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.

It was as if they were trying to close, also food did not appear fresh. Rice was dry...like end of the day rice. We ordered apps and entrees and for whatever reason the entree came out 1st which was a surprise. Then everything just flooded in at once. The duck was a disappointment, dry and tough. My friend has been here before (daytime/lunch) and she said she had better experience. Apparently I was here 3yrs ago and had a better experience as well. So don't go late in the day!
