Chicken and broccoli
Robert H.

The wife and I were craving Chinese food so looked on Yelp near me and we narrowed the choices down 2. Delicious Garden was our choice and we were certainly glad. It wasn't very crowded at 1:30 pm so we were told to "sit where we liked" upon entering. The waitress was very prompt and polite. I believe she was the only waitress but it was a small place with about 6 of the 20 tables occupied. The lunch specialties is what I went for and I had the Szechuan combo. Very flavorful with lots of beef, chicken and shrimp. Wife had chicken and broccoli which she said was excellent! The entry comes with a soup and rice and your choice of egg roll or wonton which were both yummy. The decor was simple but fitting and the place was clean and tidy. No issues with refills or to go items as the guy behind the counter came out to assist the waitress when needed. Prices were typical for lunch nowadays and we paid and left for slightly under $30! We will return!!

We were in the area & decided to stop for lunch. Easy to find location not too far from 1604. They weren't very busy & we were seated immediately. I ordered my favorite Chinese dish, moo goo gipan. My spouse had his favorite sesame chicken. Both dishes were very good and had good taste. The spring rolls weren't my favorite, mushy taste. The hot & sour soup was very good as was the steamed rice. I loved the decor, Chinese theme with pictures & such

I asked the server to recommend me something unique and it definitely was. Quiet small little place I wanted to bring my parents to try. It was nice but we weren't super impressed. It is one of the only Chinese spots right there in the area though.

This place is such a hidden gem. We walked in and were promptly told to sit anywhere. We ordered the rainbow chicken and spicy shrimp, along with Chinese donuts. Everything was cooked very well and out quick. The ambiance was casual and there is nice music playing in the background. They also have takeout. I would definitely return.

I absolutely crave this place. I was so near I had to stop. It's very clean and customer service is friendly and helpful. Very tasty I ordered to go it was expected when I arrived home it was still hot as though I was still in the restaurant. This is my favorite dish. Looking forward to maybe trying something new next time.

Food was ok. I ordered to go. Got the pork fried rice but received chicken. Didn't notice until I got home. Also ordered the egg drop soup. It was too viscous for me. I was their last customer so the waitress was good (also got it to go so...) the restaurant is located towards the end of the shopping complex. Restaurant seemed clean but didn't go past the counter.

We had a game night with friends and decided to check this place out. We ordered a ton of food (literally $100 worth) online for pickup. Everything was sooo good! We all enjoyed what we ordered. Crowd favorites were the walnut shrimp, happy family, egg drop soup, sesame balls, and the donuts. The portions were perfect too! What always makes me nervous to try a new Chinese place is that some times it gives me a migraine. Thankfully that didn't happen, so it is a win! We definitely will be ordering here again.

I ordered the crispy dumplings (pork) and spring rolls as appetizers, and the spicy noodle soup as my entree. My server came to take my order, and brought me the items as they were ready. The entree came out before the appetizers. The spicy noodle soup was spicy (as named) and it was good, but it was incredibly oily and the noodles were overcooked, so I didn't eat much of it. I would definitely recommend ordering this with rice, or taking it home and making your own. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy, but nothing special. I did like the duck sauce they had -- I would have asked my server for more of it, but she was busy in the back or something, not sure. I wish she would've checked in on me a bit more during the visit so I could have gotten more napkins and sauce. The service was alright. I wish I would've gotten checked on a little bit more, but she was nice and helped me pack my noodles to go. Overall, this spot wasn't terrible, but if I had to choose, I'd probably try another place.

Each of the lunch specials come with crab rangoon, egg roll and soup (I chose egg drop soup). We had the Shrimp and Vegetables, Sesame Chicken, and Triple Delight. We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.

I have been to this restaurant several times which I did like. It rank higher than the other few places available in San Antonio. The service is always good and from observing I see a lot of Chinese families visiting and chit chatting with who seems to be the owner. I do like that a lot! It gives a positive sign about the restaurant itself The portions are huge! I ordered the whole chicken? Sichuan style. I asked if it is the whole chicken I don't know if language barrier lol she did the sign of no no with her hand. It is actually maybe equal to 2 chickens! Not complaining! I was very happy with it! I will keep on returning to try more things on the menu
