We finally tried Noy's Bistro (Thai), and WOW... how have we been sleeping on this place?! My husband ordered the drunken noodles, and I got the yellow curry--both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and you can tell everything is made with care. Every bite just hit. On top of the amazing food, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself was also very clean and well-kept--always something I notice and appreciate! We're honestly so sad to hear they might be closing when their lease is up in September--this place deserves so much love and support. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Thai & seafood restaurant located on Pat Booker not far from Randolph Air Force Base. Eat in or carry out. Easy ordering at noysbistro.org. We stopped by for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. My husband had the orange chicken and I chose pad see ew with chicken. Both came with our choice of soup or salad. We went with the soup of the day, which was a wonton. Absolutely delicious. Large portions. I have plenty left over from my pad see ew for at least another meal. Staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. The restaurant is very calm and pleasurable to hold conversations. See yourself when you walk in the door. A server will quickly meet you at your table to take your drink order. When you finish your meal, you pay at the register on your way out. We've been here for a couple years now and first time we had Thai food. My wife called to check on what was gluten free from what we wanted to order. The waitress who answered was really nice and double checked on everything. We ordered yellow curry, papaya salad, pad thai, mango sticky rice and a side of sticky rice. Mango sticky rice had cinnamon and sesame seeds which I've never had it like that but it was still good. Everything was so good. It was all still hot when I got home. I came across Noy's Bistro today, and it was such a great find! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, and it was honestly some of the best I've had--perfect balance of flavor, fresh ingredients, and a generous portion. We came here because I was craving sushi and my wife was craving Chinese food. I saw on their photos that they had both. Unfortunately when we walked in they had a big sign saying no sushi at this time. I was disappointed but still wanted to give them a shot. And I'm glad I did. Our waitress and the food were great. We had the eggrolls to start then I had the lemon chicken and my wife had the general tsos. I was fine with the sticky rice that it came with but my wife got the fried rice and it was $3 more. With some Chinese food as well. First thing that caught my eye were the prices. Wow. This is a $$$ type of Asian restaurant. While most places I see plates $12-14. Here average price is $18 a plate. With appetizers average is $11. I felt this better be great quality and quantity for the price. And it was! It was worth every penny. I had the pad Thai. I barely finished it. The flavor was fresh and very tasty. My wife has the red curry and it was as expected large size with rice. She asked for extra spicy and it did not disappoint her at all. We opted for no appetizer due to price. The service was also above average. Very nice server. Food arrived FAST and hot. About 8 minutes after we ordered. For reference this is my 2nd time here. They have a mix of Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese dishes and noodles. They even have traditional steak offerings, or fried shrimp and fries for the less adventurous folks in your party. Chicken Fried Rice ($11.95) - TOTAL disappointment. The chicken was the most overcooked, underseasoned and driest chicken I have ever tasted. The fried rice was mixed with basil and garlic chili sauce, but the taste of the rice was overshadowed by the dry, dry chicken. MIxed Vegetable Stir Fry with Tofu ($11.95) - not bad. Mostly cabbage and sliced carrots. A few stray mushrooms, a few bean sprouts, and some broccoli and onions mixed in, just for fun. It was served in a tasty lemon grass sauce and more than an ample amount of tofu served with it. It also included a cup of white steamed rice. There was only one server on my visit on a Sunday afternoon and she might have been pulling double duty in the kitchen, but I'm not sure. There were only two other tables occupied, but the service was lacking. You seat yourself at this place. I sat myself and didn't see a single server for 5 minutes. She came to my table and dropped off one menu since my lunch partner wasn't there yet. She said she would be right back with the other one. It was 5 minutes by the time I got the second menu. She dropped it off and I had to stop her and ask if I could order a drink before she walked off. That drink took another 5 minutes. So, yeah, a total of 15 minutes to get a drink... Included with your meal is a nice slice of watermelon for dessert - no charge. That was kinda cool. They also have strawberry mimosas with your choice of champagne or saki (who would have thought?) for $7. read more

Absolutely love the curry here. Get the red with chicken AND beef. It comes medium hot. Or go yellow with chicken. Can get it mild, medium, hot and Thai hot. Thai hot is gonna burn both times. Use sparingly. For the kids we always get them the pad Thai and they all love Service is great. The Singha beer they have is top notch too. I drive from 45 minutes away to come eat here. read more

I got the lemon chicken but it wasn't that great. The sauce didn't taste like lemon chicken sauce at all. The chicken itself was too rough. Noy's is conveniently located in Universal City about a mile from 1604. The workers here are friendly. The food has always been very good with large portions. However, the prices are a little high. Had the crab Rangoon (solid, not the best I've had) Vietnamese egg roll which were to die for withe the dipping sauce , red curry( they added extra veggies came withe rice and tea and a soup for 12.70! And the husband got chicken pad Thai which was the best one I've had in San Antonio. 10 out of 10 I recommend this place to anyone!
