As they are quick to point out, to the extreme of even having almost a "doorman" at the door to let you know before even entering: There's no grapes in this place, nor any wines made from grapes. It's all made from flowers and nectar. This company didn't invent this technique, but while they seem to do a good job at it, the wines, and I tried three different ones, just aren't my thing. The best one was a peach flavored one being served in a hot beverage on a chilly evening, which was nice, but had a lot of sugar in it, more of a hot toddy. Glasses of "straight up" wine on a subsequent visit just didn't do it for me. Bottom line, if you've got an open mind, definitely try this place. Since I really enjoyed the one they hosted in Houston I knew I had to check this one out as well. The Texas Wino Fest in Round Rock, TX was a wonderful experience! They provided ten wine vineyards serving wine both indoors and outdoors, along with food trucks and other vendors selling a variety of products. One thing I really appreciated was that they had two easily accessible indoor areas where guests could cool off, use the restroom, taste wine, shop, try jerky snacks, desserts, and simply relax in the AC. Having this made the experience even more enjoyable, especially with the Texas heat! Once again, Vernon one of the Wino members, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We also had the opportunity to meet Scott and, I believe her name was Angel. They were all amazing, as were every single vineyard representative we interacted with. Everyone was so friendly and made the experience even better. If you haven't experienced a Wino Fest for yourself, you most definitely should!

Based on that experience, I booked the Fredericksburg Vintner Winery Tour & Italian Lunch for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, less than an hour before the tour was scheduled to begin, it was canceled. We were notified by email that the scheduled driver had experienced a medical emergency and the backup driver was already assisting with another event. The company apologized and offered to double our winery tour credits, provide free tickets to any 2025 Wino Fest, and allow us to attend a Boat Bash on Lake Travis that same day. While I appreciated the gesture, the Boat Bash offer was impossible to accept. We received the email around 10:00 a.m., and the event began at 11:30 a.m. We were already in Fredericksburg, so there was no realistic way to drive to Lake Travis in time. Although my birthday plans were ruined, I understood that emergencies happen and accepted the four winery tour credits and two Wino Fest tickets for future use. A year later, for my birthday in July 2026, I decided to use my credits to book the same Fredericksburg winery tour. We arrived at the designated meeting location early and waited for the tour to begin. The scheduled start time came and went, but no driver or tour vehicle ever arrived. Even more frustrating, there was no communication whatsoever to let us know there was a delay, cancellation, or any other issue. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the company but did not receive a response for more than an hour. Richard eventually replied by email, stating that the driver had picked up the vehicle on time and that their digital roster showed the other attendees had joined the tour. This only added to my confusion because I had arrived early at the exact meeting location provided in their confirmation link. I even replied with a screenshot from their own link showing where I had been instructed to meet, but I never received another response that day. The following day, I again requested an explanation for what had happened and asked for a refund. I received no response to either request. After two consecutive years of having my birthday plans ruined by this company, I can no longer recommend them. My communications have been with Richard, and based on my experience, I feel I was treated unfairly and ignored when I tried to resolve the situation. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking and hopefully avoid the disappointment that I experienced.

First off, let me start by saying our driver Nate, was an absolute doll. He was the only good part about the experience with this company. The company is called San Antonio Wine Tours, their website says they are based out of SA and pickup in SA. When booking a half day tour, their website says there is only enough time to go to dripping springs. So I booked dripping springs and requested and additional hour to have lunch. Upon calling to update my reservation I was told the extra hour I purchased would go towards travel time. TBF dripping springs is 1.5 hours from my home and they said ppl usually spend 45min-1hr at the wineries. That being said, why does the basic half day package say there's enough time to go to dripping springs only, which I chose, yet my additional hour has to be used for travel. It didn't quite add up. So I explained this to them and was given the response "oh, I guess the website needs to be corrected". Also, they just asked "do you want to cancel?" No attempting to right their wrong. I soon realized it's probably bc the deposit I put down was non refundable so they probably didn't care bc they already had some of my money. I was told that apparently they have been pulling this since they started 2 years ago and the website was supposed to have been "corrected" many times before this. So buyer beware, this company practices dishonest and what I feel is shady business. They also seem to not care about if the customer is upset and only about the money that can get.

Back on the bus to New Braunfels Brewing Co., a brewery known for its sour beers, many made with fruity elements and one spiced pickle beer. These were honestly a trip, we were presented two drink tickets and I sampled a pink beer, sour, and a splash of the pickle beer, spicy and sour. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it, one of the homies running the establishment sounded like Seth Rogen so that was a treat. The majority of the bus seemed to really dislike the visit though and I saw a few people tossing beers into sinks or nearby plants. Our last stop was the Grapevine, something I was super looking forward to but wound up being the most disappointed. I was anticipating a couple sweet glasses of wine to wind up the trip but after fighting downtown traffic down a narrow road, we were told we'd get 45 minutes to wander around since that's how long our host figured it'd take the bus to circle back. It was so disorganized, we literally just walked in to what felt like a super crowded gift shop where five or six people poured samples down a long bar. The wine samples offered, while delicious, were barely enough for a SIP. I asked our guide if we were supposed to tell them something to get actual glasses of wine and she told us we had to purchase the drinks, only the samples were free and only three samples at that. Okay, so what was all the money we spent on the tickets actually going towards? We got our tickets at a convention where they were offering a special price, 2 for $100 I think, then the day of the tour we were told to bring $20 cash for a tasting fee. What the what? Even after alllllll that, during the drive back to the drop-off point, our guide announces both she and the bus driver work for tips. $70+ at the end of the day and barely caught a buzz.
