We had our Book Club meeting here in their upstairs room. They're upstairs room is a perfect set up for a Book Club meeting. It has comfy couches and it is not noisy. We were given the option of buying wine by the glass va a bottle vs tastings. We all opted for a glass of wine. Some of the group decided to try their sangria and they loved it. They do offer a variety of wines to include sweet ones for those that are not into the dry wines. I like dry wines, so I had the Tempranillo. I was happy with my selection. They also have charcuterie boards and off menu items. They had a hummus board and a pimento cheese one the day we went. Everyone was lovely. The owner came and told us a little bit about his grapes. He said they are all at Texas grown. They do have inside and outside seating. The inside seating is more about community style, where there's only a long table, so you may have to share with others. Parking is available on site, but shared with a dental office. Getting to this location is tricky because GPS doesn't lead you correctly and it is hidden behind the Dental office. So if you're thinking GPS did you wrong by sending you to a Dentist, you're actually on the right track. read more

Joe and Iman were wonderful to work with while planning my book club gathering -- so accommodating and thoughtful that we felt like special guests before the first glass was poured. My friend had a rose, with a Tempranillo grape, which I tasted, and enjoyed. We sat in the patio, facing a huge fan, to stay cool. In addition to the wine, we ordered a fruit and cheese charcuterie for $15. It was completely worth it. All in all, this wine spot is perfect. 10/10 service, aesthetics, and options! I'm not a wine drinker therefore I was wary to try anything because all o know of sweet wines. However the sommeliers were so sweet and very patient with our group of 8, and all of our questions. They made great recommendations and even allowed me to sample a little bit of something to make sure I liked it, if not to switch it out. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and they gave us a sample of dessert wine at the end with chocolate which was so sweet! The area was nice (a little hard to find/ get into because it is behind another company's building but the space is so nice and the inside of their buildings were so cozy! European outside cafe vibes. Beautiful weather to be outside. We decided to buy a bottle of Blanc du Bois and the traditional charcuterie board and listen to Meghan Marie perform. The wine was crisp with citrus and lemongrass notes. Busboy was very considerate cleaning our table and bringing us water while we waited. The waitress was thoughtful and asked if we wanted our bottle to be kept cold or out on the table. It was just a really relaxing way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. read more

Lob-loblly! This place is a wonderful hideaway wine cellar out on Wurzbach! Who would've guessed that this place even existed? Fortunately, we spotted their sandwich board sign on the side of the road, or we'd have never found this place! It's an old stone house that is beautiful and just looks ancient. There's an upstairs tasting lounge where they'll bring out menus, treats, snacks, whatever! I opted for wine by the glass- I know what I like, and my drinking partner got the wine flight. The flight was a great deal, several glasses of wine for a low, low price! We ended up taking home one of the bottles sampled, so it's a great way to try out a little of everything. Service was welcoming and passionate. You can tell that they really, really, really are into wine. The guy who helped us does most of the work on the blending, and the viticulture. He has a deep appreciation for wine, and is giving it his all. I love it! Although we didn't go for it, they have charcuterie boards available to nosh on. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The actual vineyards are out in West Texas, across the high plains. They offer a variety of white and red wines. Parking is easy. Park under the oak trees! read more

We wanted to try a winery closer to home in San Antonio rather than Fredericksburg and found this really awesome place. The winery is in a very nice space hidden from traffic. They're more focused on dry wines which are our preference, but they had a few semi-sweet wines as well. We sat out back and they turned on the heaters. We were able to hear a little background on the winery and each wine we tried from the one of the owners. So glad we visited! Educational and fun - highly recommend! read more
