there's a weird phenomenon at this store where everybody speaks spanish. that's not a challenge for me. i speak russian, german, spanish and parts of 20 other languages. but they don't do things professionally, especially the manager ernestina. the original order of a large pepper steak entrée was messed up by her, only filling it 2/3 of the way full, additionally the meat was very low quality corporate sent me a coupon to fix the original problem so i went back to the same restaurant with ernestine as the manager. from the panda express parking lot, i chose the panda express which was 20 feet from my car, which was this restaurant and placed the replacement order of a black pepper steak large entrée. when i went inside, we figured out that the automated system had accidentally placed the order for a restaurant 20 minutes away. instead of killing that order and simply filling a large entrée box with black pepper steak for me, the manager ernestine decided the best thing for me to do was drive 20 minutes away to the other restaurant and would not simply give me the large black pepper entrée in her store my family has owned restaurants most of my life, unfortunately not here in california manager ernestine does not understand customer service, nor having the highest interest of the customers i can't believe she forced me to drive 20 minutes away to another panda express instead of simply filling my order, which was right under the glass in front of me. the corporation as a whole is very good and i normally have very good customer service, but this female does not understand the responsibility of a manager. This is without a doubt, the slowest panda express I've ever been to. I come here on my lunch break once in a while There's not even that many people here and it takes a lot longer than it should. The food is okay and the portions are smaller than other locations. read more

They gave us Burned rice in our meals and i am glad that we were dining in, i went and told the ladie working there that it tasted like burned and she replace it with a little box of "fresh" fried rice but it also tasted like it was burned. First of all, they DO accept Apple Pay. Even though it says here it doesn't. I almost left, but decided to ask up front just in case and they did have it. The food is decent. I like the chow mein and orange chicken with fried rice. I like that they have healthier options available, though I don't come here for the health benefits but it's nice to see they're trying. Last time I came, I was disappointed in their walnut shrimp. I usually like it a lot but this last time it was cold and greasy. For the price I expect better. we came in 20 minutes before closing and they were so amazingly kind. I understand first hand how it feels when a customer comes in right when you're closing up but these 2 employees Grissell and Raeline were so kind and they provided us generous portion sizes. The food is alright just like any other panda spot. The customer service is regular. What really doesn't make a lot of sense is the order in which the online orders are fulfilled. You really need to order a good amount of time before if you're on a rush. It doesn't really make a lot of sense that a long walk-in line is taken care of before your online order that you placed 20 mins ago as well as having a bunch of people waiting for their online orders in the small corner while taking care of all the walk-in people. Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. Maybe I don't understand something there or it was just a busy day. read more

The food is fine, the service is the absolute worst. If your time means anything to you, avoid at all costs. I ordered through the app, so it would be ready for pick up when I arrived. It was not. Walk in customers were served before me, and customers who ordered AFTER I did were served before me. What was supposed to be ready at 3:55 was not ready until 4:15. Honey Cashew Chicken: Also a tad sweet. Healthy portion as well and it was quite tasty. The shrimp were plump and plentiful. Broccoli Beef: Just about a perfect 50/50 broccoli to beef ratio. Nicely seasoned and sauced. We really liked it. Kung Pao Chicken: Much better that the so-called authentic Kung Pao that we had from Chai Waii a while back. The Panda Express version was good and spicy. My favorite thing that we ordered. Chicken Egg Rolls: Fat egg rolls with a pretty good sweet and sour sauce for dipping. We really liked the Panda Express egg rolls. Fried Rice and Chow Mein. I preferred the chow mein while Becky leaned towards the fried rice. You really can't go wrong either way. Authentic? Panda Express in elcajon on Camino Canada has gotten really bad! Vegetables are not cooked and not cut in reasonable bites. They are also mixed with mushy vegetables. The server said were cooked to a timer! He was rude when I explained that they were not bite size and not cooked enough for a senior to eat with dentures. He tried to cut a "cooked piece of zucchini" with the heavy serving spoon and it wouldn't cut in half. He just shrugged his shoulders and went on to the next customer. Food is good, but other local Chinese fast foods are much more generous. We went at dinner time and ordered 2 combos with one of their most popular entrees - Black pepper angus steak. They prepared our other 2 combos and left them out to get cold while we waited almost 15 minutes for the chef to bring out more of the steak entree. They didn't even call for more till their bowl was empty. When asked what the hold up was I was told they make everything fresh and they only have one chef. I wanted to take a culinary trip to China for dinner tonight so I went to the best authentic Chinese food place I can find. Panda Express. They were packed which as stated in a previous review I find it a good sign and enjoy when a restaurant is full. Shows that the food is probably good. And panda express has never failed to please me. Due to covid they are no longer offering samples so I was bummed when I couldn't have a honey walnut shrimp sample even though I know very well what it tastes like just don't want to pay an extra $1.50 for it. I can't be the only one that does that. I got the chow mein with almond chicken breast (a new item that I recommend) as well as classics orange chicken and Beijing beef. Probably should have gone for something healthier. Maybe next time I'll be back. Edit: my fortune cookie had no fortune in it so that sucks. This Panda Express location can be easily located because it is near other popular establishments like Starbucks, Target and Cold Stone Creamery. They are pretty quick to take your order and very efficient when it comes to preparing your food and after paying. I would suggest trying their new entrees because they tend to release good entrees that would elevate your experience. I would normally get Honey Walnut Shrimp. It is pretty good. Then, I would also get the ever so good, Orange Chicken and their Chow Mein. Parking won't be a problem since they are located at an establishment circle, so there would be more likely have a space of your car, whether it is big or not. I also like the fact that they are very happy to assist you and would greet all the customers whenever they come here. read more

Had a late night craving for some orange chicken so decide to hit up the trolley panda express. 9ish with an almost empty dinning room and no customers ordering food, I entered the restaurant. From the first step inside of the building I was literally yelled at by an employee at the cash register. She continued to bully and harass me as I walked from the side door to the order line. Simply for my chosen attire. Clean jeans and a jacket no wording, nothing offensive. Just about the craziest experience I've ever had as a paying customer. Same thing happened about a year ago at another Panda LOCATION in Rancho San Diego. I had a typical meal here at Panda Express. The only thing different this time I ordered back by popular demand the Fire Cracker Chicken, with a Broccoli Beef, and some noodles and vegetables instead of rice. The meal was good. The fire cracker's chicken was tender and well flavored with its sauce. Seasoning was good and the heat from the chili was mild. The red peppers had a nice crunch and good flavors. The broccoli beef was a mix bag given some of the broccoli was cooked just right and then some pieces were way overdone, soggy, and discolored. The beef was good with a tender and juicy texture for the most part and a mild Asian flavor. I always get the noodles in lieu of rice when I come to these types of places. I waited for the freshly made noodles and I was glad I did. They arrived piping hot with a light brown salt with just the right amount of seasoning. The noodles had a nice texture to them too, not over cooked. The employees here were friendly enough. I liked that one of them came over to check on me and asked if I needed anything. read more

Pathetically bad service, long lines, and somewhat bland, overly salted food. The food is edible, and I like Chinese food, and luckily it's hard to ruin it very much. A big plus is the greens but you can order on the side, which are healthier than rice. And they even have brown rice, so again, that's a plus for the health-conscious. One very big negative is that the menu does not make it exactly clear which dishes they charge an extra $1.25 for. I think that's really bad business. The menu could be changed to make this fact much clearer. read more
