The fried eggs and mac salad really put this dish over the top. I usually order takeout here, but the dining area is pretty spacious. It is counter service FYI. Now I love a good BBQ mix plate/platter and as soon as I saw it was on their menu (Hawaiian BBQ…read moreMix), I was sold and had to try it. The BBQ mix came with beef, ribs (Kalbi), and chicken. My favorite is usually ribs and this Kalbi was no different. Fell right off the bone and had such a delicious flavor. The chicken was juicy and perfectly marinated and barbecued. The beef had a delicious marinade as well, but it was a bit tough, still good though. I usually eat this plate/platter for two different meals or split this with a friend. While the food was delicious, the wait time was a bit long for to-go. We only had one person ahead of us and it took over 25 minutes for our one order to be ready. Ordering ahead over the phone would probably be the best idea for the future. Really easy otherwise to get in and out as there is plenty of parking on the plazas lot. Overall the menu options here are the same as other Hawaiian BBQ chains in SD. Nothing crazy different. Happy to have another convenient spot to go to!

I wish all businesses trained their staff like In-N-Out does because the world would be a better place, LOL! They're pretty fast here given the sheer volume of customers and they never make you feel rushed or like an inconvenience, even if you're the one who ordered wrong accidentally. Make sure to check out the "secret" menu for those neat modifications! Drive Thru can get pretty long, but overall moves faster than expected. I also love how the double and triple check every order to ensure the box you're getting when you leave is exactly what you ordered. This is the only place I know I don't have to check my box before leaving the drive thru line! Well done, y'all! 10/10 would recommend.

Clean and spacious with a number of tables inside and a few seating options outside. We ordered Truffle and Cosmos burgers, and an order of "Frings" - half fries, half onion rings. Food came out quickly. It was delicious. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty, and high quality. Double smash patties for each of the burgers, fries done just right, onion rings with a lovely, crispy batter - everything well seasoned. Friendly, helpful staff. For the record, I'm not a smash burger kinda guy but this was on point and I would DEF return. Arguably one of the best burgers in Oceanside/North County.

To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream. Love this type of no-frills, unassuming place with very friendly staff and serves up some delicious food!

You get to pick from either potato wedges or coleslaw as your side (I went with coleslaw) and it also comes with pickles, a slice of toast, and comeback sauce. Everything hitttt. The chicken tenders are actually ginormous. Absolutely huge, juicy, and covered in a crunchy breading. I will say that the mild was the perfect spice level for me- I think they skew a bit spicy.
