Well to start off, the cashier, Evelyn, was great. She was friendly and asked if I wanted any sides or sauces. Unfortunately the 2 girls working at the start line were very rude and didn't seem to know how to answer any questions. I let them know that I wasn't sure where to start ordering because I had never been there. The girl just stared at me and until the other girl saw and said you start over here. After we ordered our bowl and plate I asked if I could order a single side of teriyaki chicken and again the girl just stared at me and said nothing. The other girl stepped in again and said no, you have to order a bowl or plate. Thankfully I made it to the cashier, Evelyn, and she did a great job finishing our orders. I then had to wait behind 3 people in line when I came back in before I could show it and get my order. It would've been faster to just order inside. I read the email and text and it said to give my name. That's it. No other place does this, so I thought it was odd. She said it was so she could verify my order was correct. I could have done that, and it's not like she looked in the bag to verify it was correct. She was nice about it, but it was just strange. Parking is available in a small free parking lot. I assume that parking is hard to get during peak hours, since Panda Express shares the parking lot with the other stores within the same strip mall. Covid-19 precautions are taken seriously. Facemasks are required, and there are signs on the floor indicating where customers should stand while in a queue. According to the floor signs, the door at the front is the entrance while the door on the side is the exit door. While I was there, it looked like all the employees and customers wore facemasks, but one of the employee didn't wear her mask correctly since her nose was not covered. I came here for dinner at 6 pm. Only one other person was inside the restaurant ordering food. I was quickly greeted by an employee at the serving line, and I was asked what she could get me. I ordered the Plate with chow mein, honey walnut shrimp and Beijing beef. The employees dishing the food up were quick and efficient. Pricing was good, and the amount of food I got was very reasonable. Honestly, at the time that I came here, I expected the food to be fresh, but most of the food didn't look fresh at all, looking either dried out or overdone or both. I actually chose food that I didn't mind eating and that also looked the most presentable. Indoor dining was not allowed. There were signs on the tables, and all the chairs had been removed. I paid for my food and took it to my car to eat. Uh ... the food was overall awful. Yep, it's my fault for even giving the food a chance. The chow mein noodles were cooked well, but lacked flavor. The honey walnut shrimp was overdone. The Beijing beef was also overdone and the meat, which had a good flavor, was a little tough. I didn't finish my food. My Panda Express experience was a fail. It's been awhile since we ordered at the drive-through here at the East Cobb Merchant's Walk area location. Then, a bowl of food could easily be stretched to two meals. But now, the bowls were in smaller containers and filled about 3/4 full. My daughter and I each ordered the broccoli beef bowl with power greens. my bowl had just two small partial strips of beef - one the size of my thumbnail, and the other not much bigger. My daughter's was about the same. The power greens were mostly broccoli. A very small piece of kale leaf and a very small piece of cabbage sat at the bottom of the bowl. A bowl filled with, essentially, just two cups of broccoli was not worth the cost. We've enjoyed decent food there in the past, and this was disappointing. read more

They're a model of consistency, friendly, and I'm a definite fan of fullness for less than $10, which is why they're kinda my go-to if I don't bring lunch to work. I DO expect that they'll consistently provide me with a dose of mall food court vittles, along with some fresh out of HS nostalgic vibes. They have now also locked all doors and refusing to allow other customers into the restaurant. This is the second time they've closed the restaurant well before closing time. I visited the Panda Express today in Smyrna, GA at about Noon. There was about 10 people eating their lunch at the time. A young girl came in with a blanket around her, and she went placed it on a chair, and went to the check-out. It looks like they gave her a cup of water? I was sitting near the garbage can where folks drop there trash and leave. She went to the trash and started pulling out dirty plates and was licking them. I had the feeling that I was going to throw-up. An elderly couple got up, they grabbed the girl by the shirt, and brought her to the counter where she picked out some food, and they paid for it. She went back to where her blanket was, and she didn't sit down, she was standing and devouring the food. Why didn't Panda Express give her some Rice or something, they could have helped this girl. My job is about 5 mins away, so I'd like this to be a viable lunch option, but since I don't go to lunch until 5pm, its a sure bet that if I go here, I'm going to be late coming back from my 30 mins lunch just because traffic on Windy Hill at 5pm is nothing nice. My first visit and I was ten minutes late getting back from lunch. I've been to other Panda Express restaurants, and I don't recall anything impressive about any of them but again, at least its a different lunch option that near my workplace. It may work out better for me to grab food before going in, but I go to work at noon, and can imagine this place being swamped at noon time. I ordered my food and it seemed like there was a $1.25 up-charge on almost everything I selected (honey walnut shrimp/pacific chili shrimp) instead of paying $2.50 extra for having two shrimp dishes, I opted for the grilled teriyaki chicken, that was being just put out. It didn't have much flavor and the sauce she gave me turned over in the bag, so I had warm teriyaki sauce on everything by the time I arrived back in my office. There was no line at 5pm, but of course that's because everyone is in their cars trying to get on 75 North or South. Spent $10.23 on what started out as an $8.40 lunch with no drink. First, let me mention the parking lot sucks. It's small and hard to maneuver during peak times. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted and offered a sample of anything I wanted to try. I tired the orange chicken. There were quite a few options, but most looked as if they've been sitting out for a while even though this was noon on a weekday. I ended up getting the orange chicken and chow mein as a side. I got a drink too, bringing my lunch to $9.36. Anyway, in the future I will stick with Chinese restaurants. Panda Express is bland and never as good as I hope it will be. It just lacks flavor and the chicken is always chewy, like it's been microwaved 10 times. My advice is to avoid. read more

To start, the place was crazy busy with a line of 10 deep, however the people behind the counter were quick and efficient getting through everyone within mere minutes. I always go with the 2 meats and a side plate, typically I would get half rice and glad chow mein then two meats and I feel this gets you more bang for your buck. Today I settled for just chow mein, orange chicken and one of their specialty beef dishes. The serving sizes were great and everyone I came in contact with was friendly from start to finish. Again, you don't expect a five star dining experience at Panda Express...I got exactly what I expected...a full belly at a cheap price within minutes. Even though I usually have to wait for my food to be cooked (they tend to run out), the customer service is great. The young lady named Dom is always pleasant, thorough and delivers awesome customer service! She actually has some of the best customer service I've ever had at a fast food place. It's always consistent. My food is always fresh because the items I typically get (teriyaki and green bean chicken) is usually cooking as I'm there or just came out. I don't have a problem with this, so no complaints this way. This is the only location I frequent because of the service and my food is always fresh. I do go early in the day, so maybe that's why lol. It is fast food, so my expectations are never that high. I would definitely recommend this location (again, I've only been early in the day during lunchtime). read more

I should have read the reviews at this location before eating here. the rice and veggies were heavily salted. The rice was cooked with a lot of oil and tasted and looked Mexican rice. And when i showed the server how it looked she tells me thats how it comes. Now a 1:1 ratio of chicken to celery to onion makes sense, how ever its not realistic but seriously about 6 pieces of chicken to 13-15 pieces of celery and onions is ridiculous. This location only offers less than half of the entrees they have listed. More than half the pans in the store are empty and they are out. So I am guessing they are just truly skimping on items that cost more money for the store and getting items that are mainly packaged and deep-fried to save money. They also don't have the side veggies or brown rice as the side item- just the fried rice, white rice and chow mien- all super cheap. The recent time I went, they only had 4 chicken dishes and a shrimp dish as entree. None of the beef, the teriyaki chicken and half of the other chicken dishes. For the prices, the quantity of the entree is very small and they pile on the side. You're pretty much paying for refined cheap rice or noodles w/ small scoop of whatever entree they have. It's clearly advertised that they open at 1030 on weekdays, however, at even 1045 they still have their doors locked and look at you like you're absolutely insane for pulling in the door at the time the doors should be open. No one even bothers to acknowledge that a customer is waiting. My boyfriend went to go pick up some dinner and asked for some vegetables. A young woman came storming out of the kitchen and literally screamed at him for requesting an item. This is in no way an exaggeration, she screamed at him at the top of her lungs. Clearly she has some kind of mental problem and shouldn't be working with the public.
