Peking Garden is yet another OTP hidden gem that has the most amazing Chinese food of any Chinese restaurant in Atlanta!! The food is extremely tasty, affordable, and the customer service is warm and friendly!! Don't let the bad reviews fool you, take the chance and come here and you will not be disappointed!!

The customer service was Awesome. The food was hot and fresh. The egg Foo Young has a yellow gravy that tastes different than what we are used to having. This is Not a Vegetarian friendly restaurant. This was our first time eating here.

So pleased to see this unique building is still a traditional Chinese American restaurant since 1975. On a mild overcast autumn Friday evening, there was a steady flow of patrons. My niece and I enjoyed a dish of fluffy Shrimp Egg Fu Young and a tasty Mongolian Beef at the restaurant her grandfather started. Not sure how long the current owner has been running this restaurant, but the simple formula of quality comfort food with friendly service continues to draw regulars at a reasonable price. Peking Garden: you will always be close the hearts of the Children of Richard and Kuo-Liang.

The service was good and prompt when I walked in, but unfortunately the food was extremely too salty.

Great Wall is a nice quiet neighborhood restaurant on Power Ferry Rd. The food is extremely well…read moredone. The service is excellent and the vibe is Asian modern. I have never seen it crowded but always a few couples eating. They serve Chinese as well as Thai favorites.

Let me back…read moreup and say the portion size was decent but that's where the stars end on because I can't give half a star. We arrived just a few minutes after it opened and there only two people who arrived to pick up food. It was otherwise empty until one couple came in about 20 minutes later. I am not sure why, but it took forever for our food to get to our table. We asked for two different levels of hot and neither one of them had any level of hot, and I think that's because of the language barrier between us and the server. Beyond the hotness level, the pad Thai had a very faint tomato taste, and other than that had no flavor of spices of any kind. We also found little pieces of scrambled egg in the bottom that also was just there, but didn't add to the flavor of the dish as it normally does. I don't know that I've been disappointed with a pad Thai dish in this way in such a long time. I'll keep looking at my travels and when I let you know if I find another great spot for pad Thai in this area I will definitely post.

5/5 stars I was in town for a business trip and decided to…read morestop by The Orient on a Wednesday evening after a long day of meetings. Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.

The service was attentive and helpful. The manager, we think that's who he was, also stopped by to check on our evening. It's got a great vibe. There are many places that you could bring me to, so if you wanna be away from the hibachi and have a quiet area, or you can be in the mix, The espresso martini was strong and too sweet. I started with the hot-and-sour soup. It was so good, and my friend started with a ginger salad. Our favorite roll was the one with multiple types of fish, rolled with cucumber. It was so fresh and delicious. It's a little hard to eat, but totally worth the effort. We also had a Sheldon room with spicy tuna, and it was square instead of the regular roll, and we really enjoyed that one, too. When we come back, we'll be tempted to order the same rolls, if we can figure out what they're called, but if not, there are so many other phenomenal options on the menu we'd be happy with.

The setting…read moreis pretty cool, with part of the walkway between the bar/hibachi area to main dining room being an old railway car -- something you see predominantly as you are walking into the restaurant. There were a few cocktail options (some a bit more pricey than I was anticipating - ie: espresso martini for $18), so I stuck with prosecco which was served in a miniature bottle and poured for me. The server was patient and kind - surprisingly splitting the bill from the get go with a larger group of 8 people! I got the ginger salad and fried spring rolls as a starter. Ginger salad was standard -- iceberg lettuce with carrots, topped with a zangy ginger dressing. The spring rolls were tasty, namely that they were crispy and went well with a sweet sauce as well as a VERY spicy mustard sauce. I got the Mongolian beef entree which came with rice. Wow -- the meat was so tender, great flavor (a bit sweet though -- tempered with spicy mustard I saved) and a huge portion. It was a great value for the price and was several additional meals for me once I took it home. This dish was also just a great comfort food. Their menu offers Chinese, Thai cuisines, hibachi (in front of a hibachi grill), and sushi -- appealing to many when someone may be wanting Asian food within that cohort of options! Overall, would go again.

This was not yum yum sauce because I didn't have any. Well I had dumped the overcooked charred veggies and chicken on top of it and now all of it got contaminated. I had a few bites before I paid attention and now my mouth feels weird. I called and they offered me $5 whole dollars for the rice even though I threw it all out. I don't need the $5 but they should have replaced it completely. I can certainly buy another lunch but service is lacking these days. $26 dollars for lunch down the drain. Long story short- watch what you're eating!
