*This review is solely based on delivery* King Spring Chinese is your run of the mill American-Chinese takeout/delivery spot. I have my go-to's for Chinese pick up, but sadly that location does not deliver, so when the craving hits and I am not interested in driving...King Spring is usually the way I go. In addition to delivery, their delivery fee is one of the lowest in the area and usually only runs about $1. I am pretty standard with my orders at places like this with Sesame Chicken, Wonton Soup and Lo Mein being the usual suspects. On my latest order here I switched it up on one item and swapped the Lo Mein for the Teriyaki Chicken. For the most part the food is decent, with the Sesame Chicken always being a winner. The Lo Mein has never let me down either, but it is usually a little too soupy for me, meaning the sauce they use is too thin and does not stick to the noodles well enough. The Wonton Soup is hit and miss for me. I do enjoy they use a lighter stock for the soup and for the most part the wonton's themselves are always packed and plentiful. However this last time the soup was way too salty and there were only 2 wonton's in the bowl. So, broth with a side of wonton's is what I got there. And lastly, the newest addition, which is a one time thing, the Teriyaki Chicken. It was just ok. The chicken to veggie ratio was off and again the sauce was too thin. If I wouldn't have been the one to order, I would not have known it was Chicken Teriyaki. Overall, I have had good meals and just ok meals from King Spring. While I do have my preferred places, in a crunch this place will do.

Gigantic wings. Basic fried rice. Clunky egg rolls.

A solid 2 stars. Wings are gigantic, but mediocre. Fried rice was super basic. Egg rolls were ... clunky? Like, the wrap was thick and chewy, but not in a good way? I suspect this came as a frozen item ordered from a bulk supplier like Cisco or something similar. Egg drop soup looked appetizing at first, but lacked some love and a dash of soul, much like the rest of the spread. I would've given it a shaky 3 stars, but the chips for the soup were so stale, it tasted like a wet basement - I spat that out so quickly. I mean, I wouldn't say the food was all terrible, but I cannot say it was good. This wouldn't be my first go-to place, and if I'm dying of hunger, there's really nothing else left in the house, and all the stores are closed, then sure. I mean, it was edible and I didn't get sick, so yeah - a solid two stars.

To any restaurant that we visit first I check for the taste of the food. I don't care where the restaurant is located or how it looks outside. If the food tastes so good I am in. This is one of those places. When I first visited this place the restaurant looked shady to be Frank. But anyway we ordered a take out and when I tastes their food it was really really good. There is not very much people who sits and eats here. But I see many take outs going on. To summarize I think this is best Chinese food for take out. By the way the service is fast

Your standard mediocre American Chinese food. Nothing much else can be said except wings and fried items are surprisingly not drenched in grease or fry oil. Consistency seems to be a major problem here. Meat quality goes from grade D to grade B depending on the day and order.

We arrived just a few minutes after it opened and there only two people who arrived to pick up food. It was otherwise empty until one couple came in about 20 minutes later. I am not sure why, but it took forever for our food to get to our table. We asked for two different levels of hot and neither one of them had any level of hot, and I think that's because of the language barrier between us and the server. Beyond the hotness level, the pad Thai had a very faint tomato taste, and other than that had no flavor of spices of any kind. We also found little pieces of scrambled egg in the bottom that also was just there, but didn't add to the flavor of the dish as it normally does. I don't know that I've been disappointed with a pad Thai dish in this way in such a long time. I'll keep looking at my travels and when I let you know if I find another great spot for pad Thai in this area I will definitely post.

(we ordered about 15 min before we arrived so we knew there would likely be a slight wait). While the service was pleasant, there was a slight smell in the restaurant even tho employees were cleaning right before closing. Most importantly the two stars are because the food quality was poor. Chicken was not cooked well (but thankfully not raw), there was not enough seasoning or marinade for chicken (ex: no garlic taste) and very minimal vegetable included in hunan chicken dish which comes with carrots broccolli among other vegetables normally depending on the restaurant. Food was hot when served but half of the portion was brown rice listed as "fried rice" but had no veggies or eggs and also seemed bland. Besides soy it lacked a lot of flavor, and this was disappointing. I hope cuisine improves in future hopefully this was related to ordering near closing time (45 min before) but unfortunately I would not return due to this experience. I wish them the best and service seems like it would be decent, but food quality is priority for me.

Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.

There are many places that you could bring me to, so if you wanna be away from the hibachi and have a quiet area, or you can be in the mix, The espresso martini was strong and too sweet. I started with the hot-and-sour soup. It was so good, and my friend started with a ginger salad. Our favorite roll was the one with multiple types of fish, rolled with cucumber. It was so fresh and delicious. It's a little hard to eat, but totally worth the effort. We also had a Sheldon room with spicy tuna, and it was square instead of the regular roll, and we really enjoyed that one, too. When we come back, we'll be tempted to order the same rolls, if we can figure out what they're called, but if not, there are so many other phenomenal options on the menu we'd be happy with.
