Tried their new Buldak chicken and it wasn't too spicy compared to the noodles (but still delicious)

The staff there was really nice and the food was great! No pan was left empty. The only thing is the fortune cookie was stale

Panda.. what is this? You are ok with serving this to your customers? For reference, this is what string bean chicken is supposed to look like....

This pandas gets pretty busy at dinner time. I'm writing this review on my last experience here. I went with my mom and she had a coupon through the app so we just tried to confirm with them that it would be valid. The employee asked another lady who I guess was maybe the manager or supervisor and she had that she would help us once she was done with what she was doing. Then she proceeded to pull us out of the line to ask us more about the coupon and then told us ok. I don't know what the reason was for pulling us out of the line as no other customers needed up passing us and we had already ordered the starches for the plates. The portions for everything seems to be getting smaller and smaller every time I go.

I will never eat here again. I ate here this past Saturday. I suffered a severe case of food poisoning. I was down for 5 days. I was dehydrated fainted in my bathroom hit my head, sprained my foot and ended up in the emergency room. This is unacceptable!

Pops gotta have his Panda Express grub! Notice da bonus container? I filled out da survey to get an extra entrée. DEALAGES Yo!

Whenever I do my shopping at Costco Hawaii Kai, I sometimes stop by this Panda Express for some Chinese fast food grub since it's in the same shopping complex. Is da grub for me? Nope! But for some strange reason, my pops really digs Panda, so several times a week I would buy him a plate to satisfy his Chinese fast food craving. Da two things I like about Panda's - 1. The Chinese fast food selection is made fresh, and there is a pretty good food selection. 2. I no need cook for my dad, and he is very happy whenever I bring him home a Panda plate! Lol! For you folks who are not Panda pro's like me, let Bruddah Fran give you da scoops and strategy about going to Panda's......... Rule numba #1 - Save da receipt & go online and take da survey. Why do I tell you folks this? Cuz if you do da survey, Panda's will send you a code to your email address for a free entrée! Can we say DEALAGES Yo???? Rule numba #2 - Skip da starch (I'm talkin' about rice, noodles, & chow fun) because what local family doesn't have rice or noodles at home? Just get da Super Greens so that way you get more vegetables, you can always get your starch from home. Rule numba #tree (3) - Again, if you did da survey like Bruddah Fran told you to do...........when you buy your plate, you buy da 2 entrée plate, but wait! Since you filled out da survey, you can get one free bonus entrée, therefore it's like getting a tree (3) choice plate, but you payin' for a 2 choice plate! DEALAGES Yo!!! Das da 'ol Hawaiian Trick! Buwahahahahahaha! You'll thank me for it later when you go to Panda's! Buwahahahahahaha! Anyways, although I'm not a Panda eater, the food here makes my pops happy, and that's all I care about. :D

Got great service here on a Saturday evening at 8pm. This place accommodates their patrons by quickly cooking requested menu items and adding more to your plate. They really treat you like a valued customer unlike other Pandas. Plenty of parking, this place is right next to the Ross Dress for Less. Also noticed that the kitchen and dining area were spotless, which is another plus. I'll definitely be visiting this location when I'm visiting my parents in this part of town.

    Plate missing orange chicken

We ordered using the Panda Express app and have never had any issues with our orders. This is the first time we had an error with our order. Ordered a plate with orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp but we did not get orange chicken despite the ticket on the plate shows that we ordered orange chicken. Unfortunately did not see this until we got home.

I definitely love eating Panda express. We happened to be in the neighborhood and hubby got us all kids meals..I got half and half. I got fried rice and thick chow fun noodles. My main course was mushroom chicken which is my favorite dish here. This was delicious. Ordering was quick and easy. There's a Coke fountain drink station. I'm a major coke fan mostly diet coke or coke zero but I saw mango fruit black tea which was delicious and wasn't too sweet. Plenty of tables inside to sit and a single restroom in the back.. Parking is up front. I definitely would come back here if in the area..

We were on this side on Saturday & my kids wanted to eat pandas. So i searched up the nearest one & it showed this location. PARKING: HUGE parking lot but gets really busy. SERVICE: I do like that enforce 6 feet apart & so much can be in at a time. To be honest i wouldnt have think that any if the food was burnt because that never happens & you cant really tell until you look at the food in your plate. So when we left & ate our food at a park/beach. We noticed a burnt smell when we opened our plates. The fried rices was straight up nasty, if you look closer you can see black stuff inside. We couldnt enjoy eating our food so we ended up just eating the sides. What a waste.

If you don't know where to eat, just grab something at PE! Big deal, no time to be choosy, what's important is that you gotta take away the feeling of being hungry/hangry. You gotta feed your tummy! Ordered a plate. Broccoli, chicken w/ green beans that swam in oil, & chicken.... simplest lunch before doing our Costco grocery. T'was pretty good. Love how they cook the broccoli though. It's flavorful & ain't salty. The garlicky flavor compliments well. The chicken dish is mediocre on the other hand. But good enough to fill in my tummy. Though the green beans is too greasy for me, it's still flavorful. They cooked the beans a lil bit too much but still it's okay for me. Not a bad lunch for that chilly afternoon. Next time I'll make sure to come in Costco after lunch so that I won't be having indecisive mind on where to eat. There ain't a lot of choices for dining in Hawaii Kai Towne Center so I'd be better off eating at home next time. Customer service is just okay. Pretty straightforward & no time for de-le-da-ling. I get it. And at that time, I don't care either. LoL. I just need to have my plate coz GERD starts acting already! Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yelpers!

However, I would have to give them a 4.5 today because while we ordered the crispy soy wings, the amount of sauce on the wings were so minimal, you actually can't taste as much of the soy. Usually your fingers would be extra saucy almost like eating a bag of cheetos - finger licking good, but not today. I will say that the positive points were that we were able to call and order on the way there and by the time we got there, we paid and waited no more than a couple minutes for the wings to come out. Still crispy and enjoyable, just missing a bit of flavor. Fortunately for them, today is the day we intended to use Korean fried chicken in our last dab challenge so we have flavor AND spicy to go with crispy, juicy wings. The space looked pretty clean and almost freshly renovated, though, that's probably not the case. Indoor seating is available and the new menu is posted below. We'll be back again. Albeit, probably not as soon as we would like.

Which is why it's taken me almost 24 hours to decide to write this. But first let's start off with what's great. The sandwiches. They're delicious. Pricey but good. Always fresh. Packed full of yummy goodness... Super Ono! Ok, now let's get down to the unfortunate business. I got to their shop at 2:30pm on Monday afternoon. Ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich and a chicken wrap. I then sat down to ENJOY MY SANDWICH at the tables provided by the establishment. Within about 10 minutes, a young girl came outside from the shop and began slamming the metal chairs and tables together. It was the kind of noise and clanging that make you jump when you're not expecting it. This employee continued to slam together the chairs and tables to bring them into the shop. It was GLARINGLY apparent she wanted to close up the shop and get us to leave. I should mention, we were not the only customers there. There were 5 of us that I counted. Everyone got up to leave. I understand that the shop closes at 3pm but this was totally rude and unacceptable. As I local person, I was completely shocked at this total lack of professionalism and aloha. Will be awhile before I consider returning especially because it was clear we were not wanted there. Sorry, Māla, but please check your girl.

(Tookout 04/22/26 WE @ 7:00pm): No raised fingers given at this chicken coop!…read more In my quest to continue exploring the various cuisine scenes as well as other businesses throughout O'ahu's Windward side, specifically the neighborhood of Hawaii Kai (southeast shore of the island), I ventured into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers as my first time to ever try their food after I've seen them all over the place on the Mainland. I was always down for a juicy succulent piece of fried chicken however it was fed to me. It wasn't the healthiest way to eat chicken, but things fried just tasted better, correct!? Founded in 1996 on the campus of LSU by Todd Graves and named after a friend's Labrador Retriever (Raising Cane), his arduous dream that began in college has since grown into one of the fastest grown restaurant brands in the U.S. Would I raise a thumb's up instead of a middle finger to their tender chicken!? PURCHASE(S) 3pc Chicken Fingers Sandwich ($8.79): This messy two-hander was slipping and sliding all over the place as I tried to keep it together (I failed). Three crispy crunchy thick pieces of chicken between a pillowy soft sweet bun with a smear of Cane sauce and a hint of lettuce, this was a lovely introduction to this brand's food, and I now understood the hype that surrounded it. Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. My only wish was that it was spicy and came with pickle chips, but it was still ono! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=sod8F8j7AIUDoK3mQptIUw The Box Combo - 4pc Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Cane Sauce, 22floz Drink ($12.79): Because of my sandwich, I was able to split this meal into two! Loaded with a little bit of everything, the chicken was just as yummy as my sandwich, there were plenty of spud sticks with a light dusting of seasoning, the toast was a revelation all on its own and would easily order a few more as a snack, the coleslaw lacked flavor (I put some on my sandwich instead), the Cane sauce add a touch of zing but wished it was spicy, and the sweet tea was like I was transported to the South it was so damn good and probably loaded with a ton of sugar. A heck of a meal at a deal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=f5GUo39r6DcCdVAVoN-ArA SERVICE I was greeted by a young woman at the front counter where I immediately placed my order, received my cup to fill with my fountain drink of choice, and within five minutes my name was called as we caught each other's eyes while I waited nearby. Everything was good - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots although I decided to do the 25-minute one-way walk for exercise - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A standard quick-service restaurant layout with a central order counter, a fountain drink machine off to the side, plenty of dining spots in a spacious room, and minimal decorations with some interesting elements such as these ceiling disco balls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=Ruk3zzf-dWb0pTPXWIWt6Q (I didn't know if they actually worked). Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and surrounding windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed the food at Hawaii Kai's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location as my first experience with this brand. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. Sure, they were a fast-food chain restaurant, but they started as a local small mom & pop business at one time. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $23.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

I ordered the Hawaii Kai Burger (Cajun seasoning, teriyaki sauce, bacon, and pepper jack), and it was awesome -- juicy, flavorful, and messy in the best way. You can tell they use fresh ingredients; even the lettuce and tomato had that just-cut crispness. The fries were thick and crispy, and the chocolate shake was the perfect throwback touch. Despite the fact that it's a considerably trek for city-dwellers, factoring either traffic or bus schedules into the equation, or both if you're particularly unlucky, it's a journey always worth taking. Hit Hanauma Bay along the way and make it a day trip; the only way to top those dazzling sights is to follow them with a stellar meal. Boasting a menu composed of locally-sourced produce and entirely vegan options, you'll want to take a number of friends for the best experience. Heck, get out there and make some new friends! Join one of the long communal picnic tables out back and introduce yourself; there are no friendlier folks on earth than those living in paradise, as far as I've seen. That said, if there was only one dish to order, it would have to be the Oh WOW Laulau. Wow, indeed! No where else on earth have I found vegan laulau, let alone such a stellar rendition. Traditionally consisting of fatty pork and/or fish steamed in taro leaves, this version eschews the meat in favor of hearty root vegetables, adding creamy coconut into the mix for richness. Not to be overlooked is the Tofu Poke provided on the side, claiming to be spicy but really bearing just enough warmth to taste perfectly balanced. This was easily my personal favorite from the small sampling of dishes provided, but it's a close call when all the options are so good. Another front runner is the BBQ Portobello Sandwich. Mushrooms marinated in a bright, smoky barbecue sauce practically sing between two whole wheat buns. Coconut slaw tops off the assemblage with just the right amount of subtle sweetness to contrast the deeply savory flavors within. Simpler but no less spectacular dishes include the Roasted Veg Platter and Roasted Veg Avocado Sandwich. The way that the vegetables are treated with respect, from the moment they're harvested from nearby farms to the care taken when they reach the kitchen is evident with every bite. Cooked with care and proffered generously with each serving, even the basics make the trek out here worthwhile. I'm still trying to recreate that impossibly umami gravy offered on the side. It's one of those things that are so astoundingly, inconceivably delicious, it's impossible to deconstruct. Each entree promises an ideal amount of food; satisfying diners without over-stuffing them. That said, you'll still want to make room for dessert, especially when you see the towering bowls full of Outta This Swirled Soft Serve. Cool, naturally sweet spirals of banana-based soft serve are dressed to the nines with cacao sauce that hardens much like magic shell, granola and coconut flakes tumbling down the mountainous terrain, and fresh fruits that vary based on local availability- Expect papaya always to be in ample supply, based on the thriving papaya trees on premise. Each order is abundant enough to be a considered a full meal in and of itself.
