I have been a fan of panda express since began business in California. I just came to Grants Pass and was delighted that a francise had come to this town. Not so pleased after I ordered food today. I ordered a two choice meal..bejing beef and veggie eggs rolls & half and half (chow mein,fried rice). I asked for soy sauce, hot mustard and sweet & sour sauce on the side..primarily intended for the egg rolls. Never did i plan to use all in hopes of adding some flavor to my order. The meal was soooo bland and rice was soo gummy that i just ate the egg rolls which were soggy as they were included in the meal box instead of wrapped seperately. Never have been so disappointed. My Wife and I ordered two plates today and were so disappointed with the portions given. We have eaten here since it opened and we have watched how the portions are so inconsistent! When brought up to two individual servers, we were told that's just the way it is! Wow! Been to quite a few Panda's and never had this told to us! Also watched other servers, in the line, give bigger portions to people behind us! This store needs to give some training to its servers about consistency I think! Went here a year later to try again. I generally like panda expresses but just not this one. After I ordered the teriyaki chicken and black pepper chicken to go. When I go home there was no teriyaki sauce on the chicken or in the bag. It did not taste good so I threw it out. Will not be back. I used to love to eat at Panda but seems like every time I leave this one I am disappointed! Just paid extra for some shrimp and watched the girl scoop up several only to dump almost all of them off before putting it on my plate. When I asked why she did that she said you only get 5 shrimp. This would have been nice to know since I got 23 bites of Teriyaki chicken and 5 bites of shrimp and paid extra for those 5 bites. She says I tried to give you lots of vegetables...FYI I am pretty sure you aren't charging me extra because of the veggies. Then she proceeded to open up a container already full of food, look at a order slip and move food from that container back into the serving receptacle after it had touched the other food in there. The lady next to me and I looked at each other like did you just see that? Cross contamination isn't part of a food handlers training? Pretty sure this was the manager so is the owner so tight the managers feel they must cut corners so much they would place a patron in potentially dangerous situation because they cross contaminated the food? Why is it most places like this pack the rice in while these guys lightly scoop it in instead of packing it? Why do I get whatever I get if I order black pepper chicken which is often mostly celery or onions and little chicken but if I order shrimp there is a limit and I am supposed to get more vegetables? read more

Past few times I have orders food at this location I tell then a Teriyaki chicken bowl and right when I get home it's a plate with mostly rice & hardly any chicken. they charge me 10bucks for when ever I order the bowel my total is always is $8.60 . read more

My family and I eat here at least once a month. We usually go through the drive thru when it's busy and always check our order before driving off. Every single time for the past few months they have forgotten to give us something that we ordered and paid for. I chalked this up to them being busy and under staffed. Today, they forgot two of my items. When I walked in to tell them they forgot my items, they barely had any customers, and no one was in line. Panda has great food, and I would love to continue eating here, but the service is terrible. read more

DO NOT order using the Panda Express app. I placed an order using the Panda Express app. These orders are contracted out to DoorDash. A Door Dasher picked up my order, but never delivered it, instead they canceled it. When another Door Dasher decided they would fulfill the order, they accepted my order and went to pick it up at the restaurant and it was already gone. The Dasher called me and said the store told him that the Dasher before him physically took that order. When I called Panda Express I spoke with Celeste to asked about canceling my order she said there wasn't anything she could do, she recognized the Dasher as a usual who gets orders but even though I order using the Panda Express app not the Door Dash app I would have to contact Door Dash. Well, actually I found out after I contacted DoorDash support, that these orders can be canceled by the Panda Express restaurant location. I would have expected the employee I called to at least offer to cancel my order so I wouldn't be charged for food that wasn't received, or to offer to remake my order for pick up. I had to contact DoorDash who forced Panda Express to cancel my order for non-fulfillment. So my experience was a door dasher stole my food and wanted me to pay for it and the restaurant didn't want to bother with the fact that someone stole the order right in front of them. Poor customer service skills but hey I guess we all learn something. Better luck next time Celeste with watching the orders. *** Update*** I spoke with Jimmy the Manager about getting my refund for the food I never received. I did receive an email from Panda Express saying they finally canceled my order, however, I have yet to see my money back. After getting ahold of Door Dash they told me I could get my refund directly from the restaurant location. I called the restaurant and was told I needed to go to the restaurant to get my full refund which was the price I was charged for the food including the delivery fee and tip. Initially, when I went into the store Jimmy was going to give me a refund just for the cost of my food items, not the fee or tip, and when he went to give me a refund he began to take CASH OUT OF HIS OWN WALLET!!! ( I find it odd he didn't take money directly from the till) That is when I told him the total from my printed emailed receipt from Panda express that included a delivery fee and tip and he said ohh it can take up to 14 days to be issued back to the card I used online with the Panda Express app. I have now waited 14 days and I still have not been refunded! I can't get a callback from the restaurant and Jimmy is never there when I come in. Something tells me that the employees are stealing from some customers this way or allowing their Door Dasher friends to steal free food. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!! I hope the franchise owner realizes that their employees are not trustworthy and theft is occurring more often than probably thought. read more

This is a great location! The food is awesome every time we come in here and the staff is so nice! Although, the egg rolls do tend to be over cooked lol. The bathroom is always clean and so is the restaurant itself. When we go through the drive thru, they are quick and get our orders right every time. Great service at this locations for a busy one too. Some food items were out and but the staff informed us if we would like to wait for them and I didn't mind so I waited a little longer for my food. Very clean looking inside. They also had outside seating and the weather was nice to sit outdoors. Food was great! Very tasty and the prices are always good. Staff was super unfriendly. My family was the third family to be served moments after they had opened but we were denied service the first time due to my mom being the only one without a mask. Quickly, we apologized therefore we always follow covid mandates. Moments after a whole family walked in without masks and all of them were offered a mask right on the spot. I don't see why they couldn't offer my mom one when it was only herself who needed it and instead made sure we got back into the line after the incident. But the other family without a doubt were offered masks right away and did not have to lose their spot in line. Overall I was very unsatisfied with the way a specific female employee with heavy black eyeliner mocked my mom for having a english accent. I thought that was disrespectful in every way and if you aren't willing to work with other people that are not the same race or color as you, I believe you shouldn't even have a god damn job. And to add the cherry on top, the teriyaki chicken was completely undercooked I had to throw away two unfinished plates. read more

Tried this not long after it opened and it was good .Then I noticed a lack of staff and they would be out of everything we didn't go back until tonight and we are done ! 20 minutes in drive thru couldn't change a $50 and had to have the manager do it gave me change $37 with one $5 and the rest in dollar bills ridiculous ! We have been coming to panda for sometime, And time and time again our order has been either wrong or missing something! We had an experience once before where my wife waited an hour for our food and once she got the food it was cold and incorrect. She went through the drive through because she was not dressed to come into the restaurant. Well she was forced to go inside to finally get our food which embarrassed her greatly do to her appearance. I called and talked to the manager on duty that night and he apologized for the incident and covered our next meal which when received was amazing,fresh and all there! Well we have been there multiple times sense and each time there has been issues with incorrect or missing food. The small things are ok but when it is every time we come it makes us very unhappy with the service! Today 2-20-2021 they did not fully complete my order AGAIN!! I called and told them what had happen and asked to speak to the manager. Apparently the manager was busy and would not speak with me about the constant mistakes! The woman I spoke with said she was the best I was going to get to talk to. She was short and very undermining while talking to me. She said I could come back and get the rest of my order. (which was not an option)she said I could get the rest of it at a later date as long as it was within 30 days. Which after the many mistakes that have been made may not even happen. I do not say all of this to get free food or anything like that. I just want to know why time and time again my order gets messed up?I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. This was my 3rd time to visit this Panda and this restaurant is very busy all the time and I am very impressed with how the employee's are all very friendly quick and efficient. The manager that has been on duty is great he is very attentive to the customers and it is awesome to see him working just as hard as his employees. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. I went to Panda Express and ask to order the crispy shrimp and told that they no longer sell it but yet it was still on the menu. The guy that told me this walked away and no one asked me what I wanted to order so I walked out. I came to the drive through a couple of weeks later and I asked for crispy shrimp again and yet again it was still on the menu , I was not happy so I ordered something else . If an item on your menu is no longer being served then you take down the signs not leave them up. I have not had the best customer service lately. I am done with panda. read more

Tonight I waited for 30 minutes in the drive-through. There were only 6 cars in front of me. When I questioned the excessive wait I was told that there were lots of problems with keeping the line stocked with food. Apparently they ran out of teriyaki chicken so they just made the entire drive-through procession shut down and wait until the chicken cooked and could be cooked and served to the awaiting customer in their car. In other fast food operations, if they are dragging on an order they simply have the car move forward, out of the way, so other cars can move through. I go to Panda about once a week and since they have been open, they have run out of teriyaki chicken at least half the time. Wouldn't a simple solution be: just grill off enough chicken to get through the rush? It is obvious that management is incompetent. Damn- Panda's such a great concept. read more

The staff talk AT you at 90 mph and not TO you. They are all attempting to multitask to keep either the sales moving or keep up. Yea they are busy only because they are the new kid in town, but the newness will wear off and their customer service is already terrible. They try to rush you as a customer and show their frustration when you don't comply with their system. Chow mien was not fully cooked and General Tso chicken was super mushy. Orange chicken was out and had to wait 5+ minutes if I wanted to wait. I think not. It says Express in your name people! Maybe to critical, I have been to mainland China. Could not order online with a gift card. Slight inconvenience. Found when I got there that the prices for the ala cart to go boxes, didn't matter what size, were 40 cents more than online. ???? Food is OK but to go boxes are small for the price. It was dinner rush hour but still fast service and friendly folks. Would have given an extra star had it not been for price and portion size. read more
