Teriyaki chicken Fried rice

Dear manager? Corporate? Would you eat this? Nastiest filth of a mess of food I've ever seen. Full of fat chicken and looks raw. Disgusting. Think twice before getting food from here.

I was greeted by Sydney with a smile and warm "hello." She seemed to be happy to help me. She offered and asked for upsells. As a former restaurant manager and avid traveller, her service from beginning to end warrants the 5 star rating. The food was largely as expected. The place is clean.

Yumy sus

I think it's just excellent that Mr Montgomery works here. He is my fav artist. Do you ever have the feeling there's a wasket in your basket? Well that's how it feels at this establishment. Yummy rice! Oh ho ho, rice. And I drank the teriyaki sauce, goodness so yummy. I bit my lip though

Situated in a small plaza between a T-Mobile and a local alteration shop just a block off of…read moreMurfreesboro Road, Asian Taste is your quintessential local Chinese spot showcasing all the classics from the faded and dated food pictures on the wall to the large paper menus along with all the classic dishes we love! I am always on the hunt for a solid pick-up Chinese spot and usually wait until I am closer to home to scoop up the food, but decided to give Asian Taste a try recently and get it right after work. Online ordering process was simple, not a huge fan of the 7% processing fee, but the prices were fair so I pushed through. Quoted time of 25 minutes was spot on. When I walked in the door, they were walking from behind the curtain with my order. As noted in previous reviews, I always judge a Chinese spot by their wonton soup...and Asian Taste came through with some of the best wonton soup I have had in the area! In addition to the tasty soup, we got sesame chicken with fried rice and an egg roll, and house lo mein. The egg roll was more of a spring roll, but it was fried to perfection and packed with the goods, so again, I let it slide. All the food was hot and delicious, and plentiful. Pricing was not bad, including the fees, tax and a tip, we spent around $32, which is not bad at all! If you are interested in dining in, there are several booths and tables. The dining room was well kept and clean. Overall, really enjoyed Asian Taste. Definitely will be added to the rotation for those weeknight Chinese dinners!

Slightly below average Asian food. Though fairly inexpensive compared to similar strip mall…read morerestaurants, there's certainly nothing else here to make you want to return. One bizarre note: we discovered that their lo mein menu items use thick udon noodles rather than actual lo mein noodles. Why?

I did a pick-up order, so I'll have to come back and try the hotpot, but our experience with the two dishes we ordered was good. Ordered: 1. Snow pea tips ($21.99) - a classic chinese restaurant dish that they did well; would order again. 2. Sour cabbage fish ($28.99) - the portion is huge (you get what you pay for ~$30), but satisfying. The fish fillets are incredibly tender. The pickled cabbage gives it a nice sour flavor to round everything out, and the soup comes with noodles which was a nice surprise. Food was ready in 40 minutes on a Friday evening, so it's a good idea to plan your order ahead of time.

This fit our time budget just fine as we had about 3.5 hours before our flight departs. This location is what you would expect from an ordinary hot pot restaurant with simple seating, a custom bar to choose the items you want, and a small sauce station. My lovely lady and I decided to go with the custom hot pot option where you grab a large bowl, go to the custom bar and choose the items that you want them to cook in your hot pot. They weigh all the stuff together and charge $14.99 per pound. We originally choose the House Spicy broth, but my beautiful partner asked the lady how spicy was the broth, and she did say it was actually spicy; so she asked them to downgrade my broth to the Sour and Spicy broth, as it was more mild. I'm so glad she did, as my broth still seemed quite spicy, especially the red chili oil floating at the top. I'm not sure how she was able to deal with the House Spicy level, but she was able to power through it. The sauce station was quite limited, without any sweet options to mix with the spicy oil and scallions. Overall, this place is ok for Tennessee. I feel like we are spoiled coming from the Los Angeles area where we have access to so many options with super fresh ingredients.

On this culinary adventure we were looking for some New York style Chinese food. I actually found…read moreit in a little strip mall off of Murfreesboro Road in Franklin. As we pulled up we only see one table with customers so we are slightly concerned. I step in to here and it looks like every other Chinese place. They all look the same with basically the same choices on the menu. However, we should not have worried because this place is absolutely amazing. It is just a little family place where the food is all made to order. We decided to order a sampling of several things off the menu. What we don't eat we can take home. We ordered crab rangoons, pan fried dumplings, Generals Tao's chicken, egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried rice, and Szechuan chicken (extra hot please). We go have a seat and shortly the food starts to come out. It was definitely not what I expected. It was much better. I was impressed by the plate presentation and the smells coming from the plates. You can tell everything was handmade. Even the egg rolls and dumplings are handmade. The egg rolls are stuffed with chicken and vegetables and you can tell they are handmade because the rolls are not rolled exactly the same. The pan fried dumplings are filled with Asian porky goodness. The crab rangoons are also definitely handmade because they are all shaped a little differently as well. They are out of this world. And that is just the appetizers. Now to start on the main dishes. I have had a lot of General Tao's chicken in my time but this place hits it out of the ballpark. The flavor was incredible and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The Szechuan chicken was full of flavor and spice (could have been a little hotter but that is just me). Everything was made with love and care. This place is a hidden gem and a true New York style Chinese food restaurant. It has been a long time since I had food like this. I can't believe I have found you here in Franklin, Tennessee. I give them 4 guitars. It was all amazing.

Given they promote themselves as NY Chinese I was excited about it, but it wasn't the NY I remember. I don't understand how people gave this place 4 Stars??! We ordered General Tso's dinner. It really tasted and looked like Sweet & Sour Chicken. The fried rice looked like Mexican or Spanish rice?! The egg roll filing was good, but the egg roll itself wasn't crispy. The only highlight of this meal was the Hot & Sour soup. Also, we ordered the Pork Chow Mein which was meh. Not that much pork and it was just big noodles with not much flavor. Beef & Broccoli was okay, but mainly broccoli and hardly any meat. Also, I love ordering crispy wonton (fried noodle here) from restaurants, even ordered extra and they were oily and soggy! I did get a lot of side sauces, which is cool. But for Chinese Food Delivery that was Meh for close to $50...I could have gone to Panda Express and paid $30 less.

Busy...busy...busy. Yes, many of us find ourselves buzzing around (especially this time of year -…read moreright before Thanksgiving) like bees and other creatures hustling to prepare for the cold months ahead. And, somewhat surprisingly...the same was true for Great Wall of China early afternoon on a weekday. There was a virtual constant flow of patrons coming and going, picking up call-in orders, and stopping for a mid-afternoon lunch. (1:30 - 2:30pm) Regardless of the "buzz," we were politely greeted by Lynn (Lin ?) and seated immediately. Drink orders were taken (fountain drinks or bottled available), menus presented. Drinks delivered and orders taken within 5 - 10 minutes....and a small dish of complementary candied peanuts placed on table. They were delightful. Our orders came out within another 10 minutes or so....even while customers continued to come and go. And 3 different people came out to check if everything was in order..."all good?" - "yes." First for me was a hot, super crispy, veggie egg roll. Multi layers of rice paper wrappers contained a rather bland stuffing. A dollop of "Momofuku-style/Lao Gan Ma" chili crunch with its savory, salty, spicy, umami nature helped. (Of course the traditional hot mustard or duck sauce could have been chosen instead...but none was offered.) Second - my go-to lunch dish, Hunan Chicken. Uber-tender small bites of white breast chicken sauted and bathed in an earthy sauce, along with carrots, mushrooms, onions, and zucchini. Good - yes. Great....not quite. The depth of flavor wasn't here. But the subtle and persistent heat was spot on. Chicken and broccoli for my luncheon guest...was also shy of our top marks. And this dish (attested by both of us) was way over-salty. Too much soy or...? We'll ask next time. Regardless, we will be back because the selection and affordability of pretty darn good Chinese food is what we continue to seek on our Yelping quest across all cuisines of the world....especially close to home.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

It's one of those places where everything is packed with flavor and every dish feels a little special. The Mi cucumber is absolutely to die for--especially when you put it on top of the dumplings. The spring roll was delicious too, full of flavor with just the right amount of spice. And the tacos... you cannot skip them. The beef tacos are incredible, and the cauliflower tacos are just as good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. On top of the fantastic food, the service is always great--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend!! Be sure to make a reservation!

I love all styles of Chinese food--from Americanized classics to more traditional dishes--so I was excited to try a range of items. I ordered several dishes to get a good feel for the menu, including sautéed mixed vegetables, egg rolls, steamed dumplings, wonton soup, and sesame chicken. The sautéed mixed vegetables unfortunately missed the mark for me. The sauce was extremely strong and completely overpowered the dish, making it difficult to enjoy. My roommate ended up finishing it and agreed--the sauce was just too intense. The egg rolls were also a bit underwhelming. The wrapper wasn't as crispy as I would've liked, and the filling leaned heavily toward meat without much vegetable balance, which made the flavor feel a bit one-dimensional. The steamed dumplings were better and one of the stronger items we tried, though I think a more flavorful or complementary dipping sauce--and a bit more variety in the filling--would take them to the next level. The wonton soup had a really nice, well-balanced broth, and the wontons themselves were cooked perfectly. That said, the soup felt a little lacking in substance. Adding vegetables like cabbage, carrots, or peas could really round it out and make it more satisfying. The standout of the meal was the sesame chicken. It was well-prepared, flavorful, and came with a good portion of broccoli--though I wouldn't have minded even more. Overall, No.1 Chinese falls somewhere in the middle. It's a decent option if you're looking for quick takeout, but if you're searching for something more memorable or elevated, you may want to keep exploring.
