She also let me know the two dishes I ordered to go will use the same brown sauce and asked me if I want similar or different sauce. I really appreciated the headsup. I will go back if I am in the area. I will recommend anyone to try their foods. Really, her smile will brighten your day.

Dumplings were generous - 8 big three bite fatties with a pleasant though a bit too sweet dipping…read moresauce. Extra credit that they were offering a 2 for 1 special (love dumplings). Hot and sour soup was about average for Chinese American take out. The chunks, mostly tofu but also a little chicken, were cut pretty big. I always include sesame chicken in an initial order. It's the wife's favorite, and if it's not a good version, the restaurant is not going on repeat. I give them credit, overly sweet and sticky, which is what you'd expect in sesame chicken. Big chunks of nicely cooked, tender, thigh. A few al dente large pieces of broccoli. Next order, I'd also include a vegy dish to better balance the chicken and veg. Also tried the Szechuan triple delight. The dish is described as spicy, and I requested extra spicy, but it still had just a light touch of heat. It was a nice mix of protein and veg. A bit too heavy on the onion. There were just a couple shrimp but they were big tasty and tender. Lots of thin velveted slices of protein - honestly I couldn't tell for sure if it was chicken beef or pork, but it was very tender and pleasant, so I'll just stick with "happy mystery meat". Will definitely be giving Asian Taste a return visit.

Happy hour still fantastic! Unlike before, I like their Milk…read moreTea (Tarro flavor is my favorite!) But.... I'm mad! What happened with the salad?! It still lists for $3.25 on the menu, and they bring out the equivalent of one piece of chopped lettuce in a condiment size bowl! Total rip off! It was already a very small portion, and now, not even enough to wet your whistle! Fulin's should be ashamed to serve the mini cup size and not even lower the price! I will NOT support such a poor move on their part and purchase the salad again, unless they go back to the original size or lower the price a couple of dollars for the amount they served me today! There are similar places around, where I can still pay the same price I used to and get what is actually called a "salad." I refuse to pay for one piece of lettuce, and I question whether it was a whole piece, at that! Plus, they didn't even fill the measly bowl. Wish I could still give a 4 star rating, but quantity has gone down. Some of you may say, it's just a freaking salad. Others that look forward to this being one of their favorite things on the menu, will understand. IYKYK

If you are unfamiliar with this chain, think Chipotle for pasta, but it is not made in front of you. They have a bit of prepared pastas, but you can also create your own. Noodles and Company is a quick serve spot that serves purpose when the regular rotation of week night dinners runs a bit stale. The location itself needs some TLC as it is worn from ripped and torn seating, cabinet doors falling off of the drink station, stained ceiling tiles and dirty floors. The place needs some conditional love. Cleanliness was decent throughout with the exception of filthy entry windows and doors. Food wise I went with the Pesto Cavatappi and a side of garlic bread to go. Portions could be a bit larger, but that is why I added the garlic cheese bread. Pasta's are priced as is then there is an additional charge for protein. Your average pasta with protein will run you around $12. I enjoyed the pesto pasta and the chicken was lightly breaded and portioned well for the pasta. The garlic bread was a bit soggy and the cheese came off with one bite, and not in the cool "cheese pull" kind of way. Service was "meh". They were on their phones watching videos loudly while customers waited to be noticed at the counter. Overall, Noodles and Company is just okay. Definitely has potential to be added to a quick and easy weeknight dinner rotation, but they need to make a few adjustments.

Busy...busy...busy. Yes, many of us find ourselves buzzing around (especially this time of year -…read moreright before Thanksgiving) like bees and other creatures hustling to prepare for the cold months ahead. And, somewhat surprisingly...the same was true for Great Wall of China early afternoon on a weekday. There was a virtual constant flow of patrons coming and going, picking up call-in orders, and stopping for a mid-afternoon lunch. (1:30 - 2:30pm) Regardless of the "buzz," we were politely greeted by Lynn (Lin ?) and seated immediately. Drink orders were taken (fountain drinks or bottled available), menus presented. Drinks delivered and orders taken within 5 - 10 minutes....and a small dish of complementary candied peanuts placed on table. They were delightful. Our orders came out within another 10 minutes or so....even while customers continued to come and go. And 3 different people came out to check if everything was in order..."all good?" - "yes." First for me was a hot, super crispy, veggie egg roll. Multi layers of rice paper wrappers contained a rather bland stuffing. A dollop of "Momofuku-style/Lao Gan Ma" chili crunch with its savory, salty, spicy, umami nature helped. (Of course the traditional hot mustard or duck sauce could have been chosen instead...but none was offered.) Second - my go-to lunch dish, Hunan Chicken. Uber-tender small bites of white breast chicken sauted and bathed in an earthy sauce, along with carrots, mushrooms, onions, and zucchini. Good - yes. Great....not quite. The depth of flavor wasn't here. But the subtle and persistent heat was spot on. Chicken and broccoli for my luncheon guest...was also shy of our top marks. And this dish (attested by both of us) was way over-salty. Too much soy or...? We'll ask next time. Regardless, we will be back because the selection and affordability of pretty darn good Chinese food is what we continue to seek on our Yelping quest across all cuisines of the world....especially close to home.
