The mall parking is usually easily accessible but it was not today, as they blocked off park of the garage in preparation for an event. We arrived at 8:01pm to order a family meal. One of the dishes we wanted had less than a full large portion available. With 59 minutes left before closing, we asked the server to have the kitchen staff cook up some more. They said no, kitchen is already closed. Huh? Open but only to serve old food cooked a while ago, not to serve anything fresh. My kids were frustrated not to be able to get the dinner they wanted. We left and went elsewhere. I visited Panda Express recently at Bell Square because my friends wanted to eat here, and it was not at all as cool as it once was. But tell that to the high schoolers who flooded the place on a Friday night. Ah, to be young and foolish... This Panda Express location is in Bell Square on the upper level, close to the Macy's entrance. When we visited on a Friday night there was a line, which went by quickly. However, we saw that none of the tables were open. All of the tables had a sign that said the tables were closed off. Therefore, we had to find a table somewhere in the mall. Not sure why the tables were closed off, but that was a bummer. Then I tasted the food. I ordered a plate combination and chose noodles with beef and broccoli and mushroom and chicken. The noodles and mushrooms and chicken entrée were bland, so needed the sriracha I got a side of. Nothing I'd ever get again. But the biggest disappointment was the beef and broccoli because there was hardly any freaking beef. It was mostly broccoli, which I like, but it's called beef and broccoli. I expected some protein. Wandering around the mall before my next shift and hungry I got the urge for Chinese style food which beyond Panda Express I don't see much of. It wasn't busy and I grew hungrier, so I stepped inside. The food all looked good as it normally does in the display case, but the problems quickly began. It started with the workers. I don't know if they were shy or something, but they were so quiet like they were whispering. I repeatedly had to ask them to repeat themselves both of the young ladies working. I know I'm getting older, but I don't think my hearing is THAT bad yet. Then I had to ask for soy sauce, a minor issue but it would be nice if they asked or offered it since it's not out amongst the napkins and straws etc. to go with your meal. The next thing is they were out of a few things, and this seems to be a popular complaint, I asked for the Bejing Beef. Out. I asked for the Sweetfire chicken. Out. How can this be? It's barely 12pm, lunch has basically just started. Why is it on the menu? Shouldn't it be crossed off or something? I settled for the Honey sesame chicken which was just ok. The Orange chicken was good, the best part. The chow mein was disappointing. none of it was particularly hot and the vegetables, particularly the string beans in the chow mein looked old and not good. As other reviews have mentioned. This is probably one of the worst Panda Express restaurants I have ever been to in my entire life. This Panda Express gets a lot of traffic since it's in the mall. There are a couple of seats and tables to dine in but it's not much. You may have to circle around and wait a bit or you can venture outside and hope that you can find a seat. The seats inside aren't cleaned often, unfortunately there was a lot of food on the floor, seat, and table. I'm not sure if this place is understaffed or not because I see a lot of people walk into the back room and not helping out with the front. There was only 1 person cooking as well when I was here. This place is really slow and pretty bad at keeping up stock. My go to is usually String Bean Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki, chow mein and super greens. There weren't any super greens for the longest time, at least 10 minutes and they left my food sitting out and not under a warmer or light so my food got cold waiting for super greens. There was a lot of things sold out and just wasn't getting replenished. For some reason there was two trays of broccoli beef and no one was touching it. There just wasn't enough cooks as only one person was cooking. In other Panda Express it's usually 2 or 3. Two people cooking Entrees and 1 person cooking Chow Mein/Fried Rice or the Grilled Chicken. read more

Panda Express, my one true love. Unfortunately, this location seems understaffed and frequently runs out of ingredients. My usual order is a bigger plate with half chow mein, half fried rice, orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and mushroom chicken. When we visited this location, they unfortunately did not have any more mushroom chicken, and were not planning on making any more. This was at about 6 PM. Additionally, there were about 2 or 3 other entrees that they were out of. The fried rice we got was the last of the batch, so it tasted slightly stale. The orange chicken was fine. Sometimes the sauce is a little inconsistent (for example tastes too sweet). The amount they scooped seemed less overall than other Panda Express locations I've visited. They were still able to scratch my Panda Express craving at least, but it was not an ideal experience. It did not meet the true potential of Panda Express. Also, the Panda Tea Bar, which actually had pretty dang good milk tea, seems to be shut down for now. read more

Your typical Panda Express, just dirtier. My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday night after stopping by Warby Parker. There was only one couple ahead of us so it wasn't too busy. I ordered a bigger plate with chow Mein, honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken. After scooping in my mains and 2 entrees, the employee slid the box over to the cashier. I was confused since she initially confirmed me with that I wanted a bigger plate. The cashier noticed and assisted me with getting my teriyaki. This Panda Express is a tea lab location, so they have lemonade, fruit teas, and bubble tea! I wanted to try the strawberry lemonade, but the cashier told me that they weren't doing any of their drinks from their tea lab menu at the moment. That threw me off, but okay. The trash can was badly overflowing with garbage, and the soda station was a sticky mess with lids and straws scattered everywhere. Surprisingly enough, the bathrooms were pretty clean and well kept. This is the new Panda Express that opened up at Bellevue Square late last year. It is located in the space of a former pizza place in the Macy's wing of the shopping center on the 2nd floor. Since Bellevue Square doesn't have a food court, it has for many years had limited casual food eatery options. So it is nice that they have been opening up places like Panda to address this. This Panda Express location is unique in that they have a Tea Bar which includes bubble tea as an option. If you are looking for a good bite, Panda Express is a nice place to feed your appetite. Their meals are pretty reasonably priced. A 2 item combo for $7.30 is not too bad. If you have never been to a Panda Express, basically you choose from an assorted selection of buffet style Asian and Chinese dishes alongside your choice of chow mein or rice. I usually go for the chow mein and their orange chicken which I think is their best item by far. It is basically fried chicken nuggets with orange sauce on top. On this occasion, I got the beef and broccoli as the other side which was alright. The seating inside Panda is a bit limited. They have a few booths and some long tables here. If you see that the seating area is quite full and there is a long line to order, I would recommend getting your order to go instead. There are many other places to sit inside the mall, so I would go elsewhere. If you are looking for a quick bite at Bellevue Square, Panda Expess is perfectly fine. We stopped here for dinner after a round of shopping in Bellevue Square mall. We have found this location of panda express to be much better than the others we have been to. I got the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken with fried rice, my husband got sesame chicken and mushroom chicken with fried rice. We also got a couple of egg rolls and a classic lemonade.
