This Panda is newly remodeled and very very nice. The tables and seats are clean, and there are several televisions around the restaurant. This location is located right across from the outlets and is always very busy. I usually have a strong dislike for "fake" chinese food but somehow on the way back from the Grand Canyon, I had a strong craving for chow mein and orange chicken. I convinced my husband to go with me by luring him with the thought of salty delicious kung pao chicken and fried rice. Service here was good but man the line was long. We stopped by around 4pm in the afternoon and the line was about 30 minutes. Because they are so busy though, the food always stays hot the fresh. Egg rolls are not bad either. read more

Very disappointing! Came from a long drive from Mexico heading back to Las Vegas, and wanted to eat panda. We arrived at 8:05pm and there was only 3 to 4 options available. Things that I like about this particular Panda are: they have Lots of customers so that there is good turnover and they're fast. They have bus parking, which many of you won't use but I travel in a 40 foot rv and it's hard to find a parking spot. In and out is just on the other side of the parking lot so there's a choice for my traveling companions. The only downside is that sometimes cars park in the bus parking area and block the way. read more

This is a great stop on our way home to Orange County from Havasu. Our server tonight was Mariah. She was genuinely sweet and courteous. She even hand delivered our walnut shrimp that was made fresh. Best Chinese food in town! I love this panda express, its very large and clean. The staff is nice and made sure i was offered a drink, condiments and a fortune cookie. Plus, They sell beer! My favorite Panda Express of all time! They have Thai Tea with boba! It's is not the best Thai Tea I had, but you can enjoy eating along side your meal. This is definitely a popular spot before spot before or after Las Vegas. The staff is quick and nice with the volume of people who come into this place. The seating is comfortable. There are large high-definition TVs here, but majority of them are advertising Panda Express. They should tune them to the news, sports, or a kids channel. My husband and I stopped here to eat on our way home from Las Vegas. We pull into the parking lot and see a TOUR BUS!!!, so we rush to park and speed walk inside to beat the crowd. PHEW! We beat the crowd. There were about 5 people a head of us in line. We're ordering in a flash! We order our food and everything is hot, and cooked to perfection, great tasting! I tried the new Surf and Turf dish, yum yum!!! We take our seats and I verbalize my observation to my husband, about how nice the lobby is. I don't know if this location is a new location or if they've recently re-done their lobby, but the lobby is huge, with plenty of seating - cute, modern-day type furniture, I hadn't seen anything like it at other Panda Expresses before, it really caught my eye. The lobby was clean, and our service was fine. Before we knew it the crowd from the Tour Bus had entered and the place blew up like a high school cafeteria! All in all, because we beat the tour bus, we were in and out of there and back on the road to our home. It was a pleasant experience, so we're giving it 5 Stars. read more

The staff was friendly and offered me samples of everything, like most locations do. The bathrooms were clean. Every trip I took to Vegas, I have stopped at Carls.. this time around, we thought why not try Panda since their food appears to be healthier? This location is larger then most since its pretty much known as a road stop Panda, not your standard ones in your local malls. They have larger bathrooms. However they are usually tremendously understaffed because the traffic patterns can be unpredictable. In our case I had to wait 10 minutes for my broccoli beef to be ready. Not to mention while we were waiting, my mandarin chicken was getting cold. I had to ask for them to give me the fresh hot mandarin chicken that just came out. Instead of dumping out my mandarin, they decided it was a wise idea to dump my cold mandarin chicken back into the tray of new mandarin chicken so some other poor schlub will have to enjoy it with some of my steamed rice stuck on it. I normally wouldn't go out of my way to review a Panda Express, but the Barstow Panda helped to lay the foundations for an outstanding vacation during the weekend of EDC Las Vegas 2012. First of all, this restaurant is freakishly clean and contemporary for a Panda Express; the seating areas are comfy, leather-padded, and well-maintained. The decor is oddly tasteful and makes for some momentary fun, as signs on the walls help to indicate the travel distances to Hollywood and Las Vegas (among other places). Additionally, the service is friendly and pretty speedy; despite the fact that a sizable line was forming once we arrived at the Barstow Panda, we were speeded along pretty hastily and our orders were taken in no time. The fare is typical Panda; I'm partial to the new Shanghai Steak + some Candied Walnut Shrimp alongside servings of fried rice/chow mein. On a side note, it is helpful to know that Panda's to-go portions are considerably larger than their dine-in counterparts - be informed! All other stuff aside, this Panda Express holds a special place in my heart for one reason, in particular. I received a fortune cookie from this establishment predicting that I "Will soon find more adventure in life." After the ridiculously life-changing weekend that was EDC 2012, I now consider the Barstow Panda Express to be a good luck charm of mine. This is our favorite place to eat while driving out to Vegas. Food is always piping hot and fresh. Never gross, wilty vegetables. If there is a tour bus outside, chances are there is going to be a long line. But they usually keep it going pretty quickly. It is worth the wait. However, last 2 times I have been here (5 months apart from eachother) the same bathroom stalls were closed. They only have 5 toilets and 3 of them were closed. This is a HUGE issue because, like I said about the long lines of tour bus folks- They all have to pee!! Because of this issue, they lose a star from me. FIX THE TOILETS ALREADY!!!! read more

Servers at the counter and register were wonderful and it is decent quality quick food but one of two soda machines was out ice and they were out of Passion tea which is 0 cal unsweetened tea and is my primary reason for stopping instead of going across the street to In-N-Out. When I pointed it out I was told that "we only make one container a day'". Obviously that cannot be true. He lied to avoid brewing tea. Next time I go to In-N-Out. I don't expect a whole lot from Panda Express but this one doesn't even manage to hit that low bar. First of all, they cost about $1 more than other locations, just to Billy Joe Hitemup all the Vegas tourists. For that extra money, do you at least get better food or bigger portions? Nope on both counts! Smaller portions, but thank goodness because the food also seems to be sat out absolutely forever despite the high traffic through here. Beijing beef was all Fried and no Beef, plus it was so hard it was like a cracker. Ugh. What a waste of money. They don't deserve any stars. This was a horrible experience. The "manager" Maria should not be dealing with people and should be fired, if not face criminal charges. I have a broken leg so my daughter had to carry the food to the car and even confirmed with the cashier that she would have to go back for the drinks. When she did, the immediately have her a hard time and asked her for the receipt. She had to come back to the car because the receipt was with the food. When she went back they took the receipt and kept her waiting. After about 15 minutes my wife went in. They literally accused them of stealing two drinks - in front of several other people that were waiting for food. They even said it was on camera until they called their bluff and dared them to show it. Then the manager went to the back and hid. She refused to come out because she had been caught in a lie. We felt discriminated against & humiliated. We spent nearly $50 on our food which we didn't even get to eat because it was cold by the time the cook came out to apologize and give us the drinks we paid for. Though I couldn't even drink mine for fear Maria had spit in it. Long story short, Maria is a cowardly, racist, rude employee that does not deserve the ability to work around people or food. We wanted beef with broccoli and there was only mainly broccoli left and the lady asked if we would take that or if we would wait. We told her we would wait. We waited a while and when they brought the plate over it was still mainly broccoli with two pieces of meat!! I swear it's called beef with broccoli and not broccoli with beef!
