My kids favorite place to stop otw to SoCal. I used drive through this time. Order was accurate and worker was kind. Breakfast was piping hot for my kids. I can't speak on inside the restaurant. I had zero problems with drive through. Thanks McDonald's! read more

The WORST McDonald's...EVER! Stopped in thinking let's get breakfast on the way home from Vegas. Ya, NOPE! We ordered, waited, waited, and waited. Our food, as well as several other customers food was sitting on the counter. We could all see it. No one was bringing orders out. Everything was sitting there for 10 minutes, maybe even more. We ended up getting our money back because the service was so bad and our breakfast never came out. Either did anyone else's... Do yourself a favor and go to the McDonald's on Mainstreet. That one isn't great either, but it's better than this dump. Oh, and this location is dirty too! read more

This was the worst experience at a McDonald's!!! My family ordered 5 breakfast meals. It took over 30 mins. to get our food brought to our table. Other patrons waited a long time for their orders as well. Tables were dirty, trash cans overflowing, flies in the dining room and my daughter saw a dead "cockroach" in the women's bathroom. Needless to say, we took our food and ended up eating in our car. Note to self: we won't be coming to this location ever again!!! Not even worth one star !!! read more

Stopped here on the way to Las Vegas to grab lunch... Paid $4.19 for a large soda... Was tired and thirsty from a long drive only to find out that this location does not serve refills on soda purchases.... $4.19 for a fountain drink with no refills! I'm about done patronizing McDonald's.... There is absolutely no value left.... From now on I will be asking if they do refills before placing my order.... If yes... I'll stay.... If not... I'll be going somewhere else! The good news is... Where ever there is a McDonald's... There's always someplace else near by! read more

We have stopped at this location off the 15 FWY on Commerce Pkwy near Lenwood Rd for years while on road trips, but today was our last time. The service was poor, with only one unfriendly staff member who directed everyone to kiosks despite the lack of a personal touch (I was fine with that as I ordered via the app). However, the real issues were the hygiene standards. The restrooms were disgusting and overflowing with trash, and to top it off, I found a hair in my hash brown which was the final straw. It's a health concern, and we will no longer be spending our money here. Management needs to address the lack of staffing and sanitation. Sad to see the decline of a long time travel stop. read more

I ordered the crispy chicken, but unfortunately it was a bit dry and overly toasted. missing chicken strip and also waited about 20 minutes for my order. On the positive side, the store was clean, and the staff were clearly busy working hard. Overall, the food could have been better . read more

This Barstow is shady and a rip off. First off $7.69 for a 6 piece chicken nugget happy meal and then up charging $1 for getting a Diet Coke to drink! Literally $8.69 for a happy meal!!!! And when you order on the app there is no up charge for ordering a Diet Coke with a happy meal. Then the manager tried to gaslight me telling me it says "up charge" but it's included smh I had to add it on my calculator in front of her to refund me my $2 for the 2 happy meal drink up charges. I will never go back here again. And don't even bother calling the number for comments and concerns because it doesn't even work read more

AVOID! I would give negative if i could! I ordered our food food via the app and arrived at your restaurant several minutes later.  Waited 5 minutes inside my car and the message my order was ready so i went inside pick it up.  Needless to say it was a virtual madhouse inside with only one girl working the counter.  People yelling and asking for their order from 45 minutes ago. About 5-10 minutes passed and I finally was able to ask someone about my order and they looked at my phone and said she will check.  Needless to say she didn't come back.  At this point it's been about 35-40 minutes from the time I placed my order and my family was hungry and anxious.  I tried to cancel my order and it did not respond to my app.  I left and went to Starbucks and it was busy but well run and not chaos, that only took 8 minutes from the time I walked up to the counter until I got my food and drinks! read more

If you have dogs, traveling thru this is a great place to stop. It has an empty field in front to let the pups stretch their legs. You order your food thru a kiosk which was a little different but got the hang of it. My food was fresh. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Usually the bacon is not the best. This time it was crunchy and actually tasted like bacon. 10/10 hash brown 10/10 My coffee was perfectly made. My husband got a sausage egg biscuit. He rated it and 8/10. Said it needed cheese lol. Went the restroom and they are very clean. A little outdated but smelled clean. read more

Since when did McDonald's stop giving refills on soda? After paying almost $30 for 2 breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and sodas, you would think that it included the refills since it doesn't say otherwise. Not only are we now inputting our own orders on a screen, no more walking up to place orders, now no refills. What's next, are you going to have customers work the fryers? Greed over customer service. I can buy my diet cokes elsewhere. read more

Needed to stop for a coffee, restroom break and just stretch out during our drive from Vegas to home. I don't think I have stopped at this McD's before, usually it's the truck stop or the burger place on the other side of the freeway. You know the one where you go in and out :) But this place had plenty of parking too and the coffee on the app is my fav purchase. They also had the McRib and I had tried to purchase one in Vegas and they did NOT have it for sale. So I got to have one before it goes away for the season. The place is really clean; it looks rather new. The person that brought out food was very kind and professional and was nice when we asked for ketchup. read more

Don't stop here. Restrooms are out of toilet paper. Tables dirty. Understaffed. Long wait for food. Lots of errors.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Food was okay but service is horrible. Restaurant and bathroom are filthy. Manager had an attitude for no reason. Employees are standing around instead of cleaning up a little. I asked for a refill, she said they don't do refills and she didn't like that I even asked. Never heard of a McDonald's that doesn't do refills. But my biggest complaint is the bad attitude the manager has. read more

Quick stop to stretch our legs, use restroom and grab a snack for hubby. The owners/ manager of this location must not care about cleanliness. The restroom had overflowing trash with toilet paper on the floor in at least the two stalls I saw. It looked like someone had just sprayed water all over the mirror. Hubby said his food as would be expected but based on the restroom experience we would NEVER stop at this location again. read more

What a crap hole. McDonalds is getting so impersonal with forcing you to use the Kiosks to order your food, and removing all of the soda machines. The restrooms were dated and dirty!!! What a shame McDonalds is worried about making money to hell with the customers. read more

I've stopped here twice in the last 6 weeks (once on a Sat and on a Aries day). Both times have been horrible. Bathrooms are disgusting and overflowed with trash. Needing a code is worthless as it's a busy stop. Play area is okay for the kids, have seen some inconsiderate children wearing shoes in the play structure. Signage is clear about shoes but parents aren't reinforcing. Food and service is the worst. Both times we've waited over 1/2 hour for coffee, hashbrowns and sandwiches. We've had to go to the cashier to inquire about our food and then it finally is available but cold. We've won't be stopping at this one again. read more

45 minute wait inside store for a pair of burgers. Other customers around us waited longer. Workers are over-burdened. Food was terrible: flat and dry with hardly any dressings or veggies. If I can give negative stars I would. Waited 25 min for our dine in order, and when I told the team member about it they said that they're waiting on fries... Saw DT line moving plenty so we can see what they prioritized. Saw one person cleaning tables and seats with the SAME rag. The person cleaning still asked me to move my feet so she can broom underneath the table. Saw one guest bring in their dog AND SAT ON THE CHAIR AND FED IT. I know it's McDonald's, I know not to expect much, but wow. Avoid avoid avoid. read more

Skip this place. They dont care about dine in only drive thru, restrooms all broken and urine all over the floor

Total disregard for special orders. Fries were solid, otherwise this would be a 1 star. Maybe our luck at this location ran out.

Stopped here again driving from Vegas to Orange County. Since I make this trip often, I always to stop at different restaurants for some variety. This time, I actually went into the restaurant to eat and rest a bit. First, inflation is very real here. $28 dollars for 2 meals!! I decided to get a small milkshake to go which was an additional $4.50ish. I don't go to McD's very often so I'm not sure if this was just because it's in Barstow or if all of them are now that expensive. I have a feeling it's all of them though. This McD's has the touch screen ordering if you want, but I still like to talk to someone. It took a couple minutes for someone to help us, but when they did, they were very efficient and nice. It wasn't long after we got our self-service drinks that our number was called. Food was exactly as I expected at a McD's. Still love their fries. The place was clean, but you need a code to use the restrooms. I will say that the restrooms are in pretty good shape for a rural McD's. While it's a little worn down, I didn't see any graffiti which was nice. read more

I'd like to express my disappointment in this location. The price gouging is on the level of a movie theatre! The service was atrocious, after paying $4.50 for a drink that's a $1.29 everywhere else, I received it with no ice. I went to the counter to ask for ice since there's no soda machine in the lobby. I was ignored by 6 people for over 5 minutes. One guy said he can't help me he's on break, the others just looked me in the eye and walked away when I directly asked for ice! I will never go to this restaurant again! Despicable read more

Here we are in lovely california, The? State where you can not have any people service and you must go through computer because it is a new future way to go. With that said, our computer menu froze. I asked the lady that was sweeping In the dining room she then said She could not help me and I would have to go to the front. I guess I have to go wait for a manager myself. Sorry to bother you I said. I then go to the front counter to reach out for a manager. No one is around, I have to step into the kitchen and yell. The manager then walks out with this huge annoying look on her face. I let her know that our computer would not Allow us to continue. Not sure why this McDonald's got rated so low. The reason I rated 4 outta 5 stars was that I didn't dine in. Their drive thru was very thorough, concise, professional and friendly. She would make sure that my order was correct via big screen, and again, at the pay-window. No confusion. Question were answered clearly and professionally. Whoever manages this franchise had done a very good job. They both deserved a raise. It was in the desert; so, not much to see in terms of scenery. Furthermore, I was on my way to the sin city; so, a brief stop over in this McDonald's & was treated by a low paid professional gave me a rather humble experience. read more
