I pointed out to an employee about the dirty floors but she just shrugged me off saying we were busy! In N out has 4 times the customers and never have I found floors liked this!.. There was no line when we came In and I could see there were enough employees. This particular branch has been going downhill. We always stopped for our dinner here on the way back to california but I guess this was the last time. In N out is cleaner and cheaper and delicious.. sorry to the owners but someone has to check on this branch.. employees are not as nice as the other branches too. read more

Orange chicken. Located at a rest stop area, it's the same formate as all the other pandas. You can use the app to claim rewards or just get points. the food was regular Panda Express, nothing spectacular. the service here was terrible. shift leader Gracie gave me a hard time while ordering even resulted in pulling out the scale to weight the food and proved to be under the plate portion. all I asked for was a bit more white rice. not even asking for more meat. I come to Panda Express all the time. I've never had an issue ordering food and I definitely never argued with anyone about the correct portions. she refused to let me speak to the manager because she claimed to be the shift leader. i would not recommend coming to this place at all they will give you bowl portions and charge your for a plate portion. Absolutely HUGE dining area. Let's a lot of light in so it's nice to get your bearings and stretch out after a long drive. So many different kinds of seating options. Since this is a location between the states the crowd is huge but the employees have no issue getting through it. The line is long but the service is fast! Lots of employees making new dishes in the back, 2 employees cresting the plates along the line, and 2 cashiers. Such an efficient set up. The food is fresh and plentiful. No scraping woks to get the very end of the entree. Everything was piled high and steadily being added while we waited in line. I loved having this as a heavier option as opposed to the regular burger and fries fast food joints that my mom calls "finger foods." Bathroom was clean and comfortable. A+, Panda Express! read more

Stopped by here for a quick lunch from Vegas. First time we've ever been to a Panda Express or any fast food place with an employee who went around cheerfully greeting customer and genuinely asking the customers if they were ok, or needed anything and made sure that customers were satisfied. She didn't just go around once but the whole entire time while we were there she went around like 3 times while she cleaned up and picked up after customers. My family and I were so impressed that we all commented on this. While leaving, I saw her open the doors for the customers and cleaned the door despite the 102° hot desert heat!! I couldn't help but ask her for her name!! Nicole with the red hair and red bow matching the red Panda Express t-shirt, keep doing what ur doing. Your cheerful demeanor and whistle while u work attitude is what this world needs. You are the true sunshine of Barstow! Panda Express, pls give this girl a raise or a promotion or something! I'd say this is one of the better locations of Panda Express I've been to. This is my second time this week driving to Cali from Vegas and both times I stopped here for food. The line moves quickly and because they're usually busy and going through the staples like orange chicken and chow mein the food has been fresh and hot. The chicken and green beans was fresh and very tasty however the spring rollls were kind of gross. Overall it's been a good experience and I'll probably be back. read more

Located near the end of the street away from the freeway, this location was surprisingly very clean inside and the staff was very friendly and welcoming even with a long line starting to form. The food was as expected and the portions seemed a tiny bit smaller than before, though this may just be a sign of the times with costs rising. The prices were also a bit higher than other locations since you're a captive audience in transit either to/from Vegas for most visitors and the choice of food options in Barstow is a limited based on whichever exit you take. Worth a stop if you're craving the food or something different than fast food burgers, chicken, or fries. read more

My daughter loves Panda Express. She only eats the fried rice but she'll down a large side of fried rice in one sitting. Chinese food am I right?!? Stopped at this location yesterday heading home From Vegas. Same level of service and quality as any other Panda Express we've visited. Staff was friendly and the service was quick even with a moderate line. As far a feeding a kid, $6 for rice and bottle water is pretty darn good. Not to mention it's a healthier choice than most other fast food joints since it's not deep fried and fake. read more

This is one of the fast food options off the I-15 in Barstow where folks tend to take a break on their way to or from Las Vegas. Overall, it was a good place to use the restroom and grab a quick bite. Can't go wrong with some orange chicken from Panda. read more

No complaints. Met expectations at this location in Barstow for food, bathrooms, seating, cleanliness.

Fun fact: Did you know that Panda Express as a franchise gatekeeps one of their best entrées, the eggplant tofu, meaning only select locations have this diamond in the rough? Thanks to a lovely human by the name of Amit Tallapragada, there is an "Eggplant Tofu Finder" map on the internet which tracks every P.E. store that serves it. I'm very surprised that most P.E. stores in SoCal are not very eggplant tofu friendly. There's not a single location near me that serves it. None. While this Barstow location isn't necessarily the closest carrying store to me, I usually exit on Lenwood whenever I'm traveling from CA to NV (and vice versa) and I want to make a pit stop for food. It's okay if you haven't heard of the eggplant tofu because I'm doing you all a favor by speaking up. You can see the crispiness of the tofu, and don't get me started on the sauce. She GLISTENS. My mouth was salivating. I had to take a picture to remember this moment forever but best believe I devoured my bowl right after. When you drive a long way and you're determined to get one thing and one thing only, everything else is just a cherry on top. The customer service was also great. Catching up on some of my reviews from the holidays. This is the Panda we stopped at on the way to Palm Springs, we usually go to the Panda at the train station but I'm glad we stopped at this one instead, it's much better. I think a big difference is the food turnover at this one is much higher so the food is fresher. They also give generous portions which is great. I had a regular plate that comes with a starch and two main dish choices. I got my usual orange chicken and ended up choosing the grilled teriyaki chicken as my second choice. Both were good with the chicken pretty tender in each. The thing I liked about the teri chicken was the chicken wasn't soaking in the teriyaki sauce, they pour a scoop of sauce on the chicken as it's served. I asked them to pour some teri sauce on the fried rice as well, that was really good. Mark H ended up getting orange chicken for both choices but after a few bites and some fried rice, he didn't want anymore. He was getting over a stomach flu type thing and food in general made his stomach queasy. Guess who ate the rest of his chicken. ;-p Overall I think this is one of the better Pandas I've been to and I've been to a lot of 'em over the years. The service was fast and efficient even with a huge line to order, the restaurant also has a lot of seating and kept very clean. Even the restroom was clean and I'm sure with all the travelers that restroom gets a lot of use. The one at the train station is a definite 2 stars but this one on Lenwood is much much better. read more

Off the Lenwood exit on the I-15, you'll find tons of eateries, Panda Express being one of them. I'm sister and I ordered a plate each. I had half fried rice and chow mein for my side with honey walnut shrimp and mushroom chicken for my entrees. The mushroom chicken was made fresh but the flavor was off. My sister had fried rice with orange chicken and chicken teriyaki. The orange chicken was more tangy than we expected. All in in all the food was okay. It is very busy at this location so if your favorites are popular expect to wait 5-10 minutes for them to make some more. read more

I don't normally review chain restaurants because normally, the food you get is what you paid for and the service is average. But, I was going to Vegas one random Saturday for a quick trip. My trip started very early, so by the time I reached Barstow a lot of things were still closed. I drove over to this Panda Express and noticed that it opened in 5 minutes. I waited outside and was the very first customer there. (Lol, this has never happened to me before). Everything was super clean and all the food had just been made. After my long, early journey, what made my experience here so great was the service. I met Alicia and another older Asian lady (I forgot to get her name) while I was there. They were so nice to me, it just made my entire morning. They were out of an entree that I wanted, so they told me to start eating and they would bring it over to me, which was great. And, they checked up on me multiple times to make sure everything was OK. Granted the store was very empty, but I have been to fast food places where I was the only customer and have gotten very bad service. As for the food itself, what can I say about Panda Express? When I crave fast food Asian, Panda Express is what I look to. (Orange Chicken and Kung Pao chicken is my entrees of choice). I also got the freshest because I was the first customer, so that made this experience better. So, if you are ever driving through Barstow, be sure to stop by this Panda Express if you want a decent fast food option with good service. read more

Stopped by this Panda location while driving from Vegas to SoCal. Like most other restaurants near the freeway in Barstow, this place was packed with people trying to order. I had placed an order online so I went over to the order pick-up area. They must've been really short handed because I waited over 20 minutes for my order when it should've been ready at the stated pick-up time. Next, when I opened my bag so that I could eat in the car, I noticed that everything in the bag was dark, wet and sticky. In their rush to get my order to me, they didn't put the lid on the teriyaki sauce correctly and it spilled everywhere, covering every single container in the bag. This made it super hard to attempt to eat in the car. I understand being shorthanded especially during Covid-19, but they need to be a little more careful when closing up and placing containers into the bag! read more

Hungry, tired of the drive, and out of gas... Forget the wait In N' Out next door and head on to Panda. This location off Lenwood in Barstow is busy but not busy enough to keep you waiting more than 10 minutes for good. Busy means fresh food from the kitchen. Orange chicken was crispy on the outside. So, that's a good sign. This location is decently clean and spacey. Rest up, eat, and off for another 90 minute drive to LA. read more

We needed dinner after it took us 3 hours to get out of LA County to Barstow. Consensus was met with Panda Express for a quick dinner. Three of us got in line to order for our group of seven. We noticed they gave different portion sizes for the same things we were ordering (build your own bowl and plate with orange chicken). The one in our group who was the skinniest got the least amount while the chubbier one got the most. How ironic since the skinniest one was the one with the biggest appetite of us all! We weren't happy with this portion discrimination since we are all paying the same price for food. And the thing was, it was the same person scooping the food for us. Taste-wise, food was just okay. The orange chicken was a little too fried. Later on when we had orange chicken at TI's buffet, we found their orange chicken to be better tasting and with better breading than Panda Express' orange chicken. Ample seating inside. The restrooms didn't feel really clean. Two of the toilets were out of commission for the women's restroom. They had an employee there cleaning with bleach while I was in there, but the stalls and sinks still felt dirty. read more

The restaurant was clean...the service was good...the food was lacking a great deal it tasted as if it had been sitting for a long time...we had the Orange chicken, mushroom chicken, teriyaki chicken and spring rolls with chow main..the only thing that tasted decent was the teriyaki chicken...the chow Marin was dry and over cooked...the young ladies that served us were super sweet..and I noticed that they did take the time to greet ever when they walked in and thanked everyone when they left...but they really need to work on the quality of their food.. read more

While the food was not bad, getting to the food was a chore. A simple two entree meal. I started with half rice and half noodles. I then asked for orange chicken and Beijing beef. There was none. I asked told it would be awhile. In the meantime, they scooped the orange chicken and then set it aside while they waited almost 15 minutes for the beef. While I was waiting I went to get my mango tea. I started to fill my cup and straight water came out. I told the cashier, he yelled back to someone, they answered and they said they did not have. Needless to say after sitting and waiting for the beef, the rest f the meal got COLD. Thank god for microwaves. read more

Workers are being rude and mean. Portion of the food are not worth it for what you are paying for. Asked for double chow mein instead of rice and it looks like it's for 1 item. The cashier needs more training for customer service and the server are talking and having mask, saliva can sprinkle to the food. People are hungry and May asked for things. Beronica and sorrono (probably the oldest one that works at this location)... i had to repeat myself more then 4x to place my order. She had an attitude and when I was checking out I asked for extra cookies besides one fortune cookie and sorrono told me there was some in the bad I ordered 4 meals with one fortune cookie! She acts like she pays for them. They're rude and unprofessional. Especially dealing with people that are traveling doesn't set good. These people need better customer service skills read more
