The customer care/routing managers I spoke with over the phone all very polite. However I would never use this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone. I was quoted $300 to clean two area rugs. I had a giftcard that covered the amount. The technician that came into my home took maybe 10 minutes to clean both rugs and complimented on how clean they already were. He left and that evening my dining area rug had brown dirt spots running down about 1/4 of the rug. My rug was cleaner and white BEFORE he got there. The next day the company called and asked how my service went I explained that my white rug is now brown and they quickly wanted to make it right. I sent them pics and they got me in the schedule the next day. Great right?! I was impressed. My appt was scheduled the next day between 10 and 12. By 11:45am I called and they informed me the tech was finished and on their way. 30 minutes later I called again and they informed me now that he was "finishing up in Chandler and is on his way." I'm like you said he was on his way 30 min ago so is he or is he not? They put me through to the routing manager and he said he's on his way. I asked did you speak to them because no one has called or texted that they are on the way. You said 30 min ago he was finished and on his way but now it's "he's finishing up in Chandler?" I'm in east Gilbert. He said I'll call him now and get an ETA. Great thank you. Gets back on the phone and now he's coming from Mesa? Like what the heck?! You said he was in Chandler and now it's Mesa? Routing manager says my appt is being bounced around different techs. I have never heard of that? It's almost like if I hadn't called no one was going to show up because literally no one showed up until I called twice. It's now 12:45pm. Tech shows up-again super nice young man. Spent maybe 8-10 minutes on the rug focused on one specific area. That area is clean now and white again but he neglected the other 1/2 of that strip that was still brown. Ugh. I will never use this company again. And I'd encourage anyone thinking about using them to run! They will ruin your carpets and leave jobs 1/2 finished with brown dirt splotches all over. If I'm gifted a gift card again it's going in the trash.

I feel that Herb is the last of a dying breed when it comes to quality and customer service for the small business owner. I had called for quotes and they were much higher that what i received from Panda but what made the appointment setting process easier is that i gave him my time frame and he was able to come out on a Saturday that way i didn't have to take a day off of work. Herb was polite, concise and got down to the point without trying to throw in a overworked sales pitch. His mantra of quality work at a fair price holds true. He did my 2700sqft house with tile and carpet in a solid 4 hrs. He pre-treated, agitated, and cleaned everyroom. Not just spots and didn't try to throw it in as an add on feature. The way it should be. He also cleaned the baseboards as he went which is just another relief that comes when looking to clean your house. We had a couple pet stains and Herb found a few more that i thought were gone but he didn't nickel and dime me for those. He added a more than fair up-charge which i was happy to pay considering the added worked it cost him. Herb also spent a good deal of time explaining his process and how to better handle future situations. Overall, the carpet came out exactly like new and there are no traces of any of the trouble areas I pointed out prior to service. The carpets are fluffy and no hint of residue left behind. You also get what you pay for but in this case, what you pay is seems less than the abundance of service and quality you receive. Will definitely use again. read more

My husband and I needed to get the carpets cleaned and tile and grout cleaned in the house that we were renting. Phone Panda online and decided to give them a call. Herb the owner returned my call in less than an hour. I explain to him that I only had a couple of days to get all this done and he was able to accommodate it the next day. We set appointment for 1 p.m. and panda cleaning services arrived exactly at the scheduled time. Herb who owns the company does all the work himself. He is very friendly kind and a very pleasant person. He explained everything that was going on in detail and what to expect and do after all the cleaning to the carpets and Tile were done. After everything was cleaned we got to look at the carpets and the tile I was amazed at what they looked like they were cleaner than the day we moved in and looked like brand new both carpet and tile and the grout as well. I will definitely use Panda services again they're reasonably priced and I love the fact that the owner of the panda comes himself to do the work you can tell that herb puts everything into his work and it shows. Herb, from "Panda Carpet and Tile Cleaning", came to my home yesterday for the first time to clean our carpets and one large piece of furniture. The first thing he did after greeting me at the front door was to apologize for being a whole four minutes late. After the general assessment of what I needed, he proceeded to clean the wall-to-wall carpets in two bedrooms and area carpets in the living room and den. The carpet in the Master bedroom was very badly soiled in a couple of spots and I was amazed how well Herb was able to clean it up! I asked a special favor of him: to move a large queen-size bed in a different direction so he could more thoroughly clean that carpet, and he was very willing to do that without an extra charge. I appreciated that he cleaned the baseboards and was careful to protect the laminated wood floors and other furniture. Herb also cleaned our large sectional sofa in the den and did an excellent job! I appreciated that he was professional and did not need to have a radio with music playing while he worked. He indicated that he was a man of faith, a Christian, and I appreciated that too. I think we just found a new carpet guy! I originally requested a quote via Yelp, thinking someone would have to come out to our house to see the square footage but no - Herb responded to the request within an hour and was able to provide an online quote by the end of the day. Not to mention, I was asking for him to show up with only a couple days notice (quote was Wed, service on Fri). Not only was Herb able to accommodate my timing, I also discovered some pet (urine) stains on Thursday and asked him whether he could accommodate the additional work. He added the space in no problem! On the day of service, Herb was friendly, courteous and very clear about what work he was going to do and how much it was going to cost. He presented a clear invoice before he even got started which I really like. His work was great - no issues taking care of the spaces we needed cleaned. They all look great! A couple small touches that set him apart - (1) love the box of goodies! (2) a small towel at the bottom of the stairs so that folks don't slip and (3) a sheet of follow up instructions for the service and discounts for future service. I called Panda Carpet Cleaning on the recommendation of a friend, and I wasn't disappointed. Herb was great at communicating prior to the appointment and gave me a very reasonable estimate for my 1900 sq ft house. His estimate came in at half of what I paid the last time a different company came to clean our carpets. I was so happy with the way our carpets looked (and felt!) after Herb cleaned them! He paid so much attention to detail and was very professional and considerate. He even placed a white cloth on the tile at the bottom of my carpeted stairs to ensure that my children didn't slip on the tile after walking on the freshly cleaned carpet. He was able to remove stains and pet odors from our carpets and the whole house smelled so clean and fresh after our appointment -- it still smells like that over a month later! Emailed Panda carpet and tile cleaning late last night to get a last minute appointment for the following day. They were so prompt in both emailing with availability as well as price quotes. Herb the owner showed up on time. He was very professional and took the time to put guards against the walls or furniture where the hose may rub so marks wouldn't be left. He was also detailed oriented and worked quickly while doing the tile/grout c and carpet cleaning. We are in a rental home and I must say he did a fantastic job that the carpet and tile/grout look new. The house looks brighter cause the floors are so clean. Herb with PANDA Carpet and Tile Cleaning was absolutely wonderful! When researching someone to clean our carpet and tile, Herb was quick to respond to emails and give us a quote. He booked him based on the wonderful reviews we saw from previous customer and his fair price. Herb arrived on time and was extremely friendly and polite. We have 900 square feet of tile and 900 square feet of carpet, and he was done cleaning in about 3 hours. I did research prior to hiring just any carpet company as I've had bad experiences in the past. After finding Herb of PANDA carpet cleaning on Yelp and after the professional inquiry process I knew this was the company I wanted to clean our carpets. Upon arrival he laid down a pad at he front door, a wet carpet sign, and protective guards on the corner of the walls. This is something I have not seen done. After doing a walk through, explaining the areas in desperate need of service and Herb taking pics he started work. It had been 11 months from our last (bad) service and our white carpets needed attention. I was pleasantly surprised with the results! I wish there were more than 5 stars to award this business. Yes they are based in my neighborhood - however, I am very unbiased and have no favoritism when it comes to supporting a worthy business. I overlooked providing a review after the service, but three months later it is still fresh in my memory - as is the outcome! Herb was prompt/punctual, something that just happens too seldom in the service industry any more. The job came out better than my wildest dreams (dog poop...diarrhea!!) This was the best cleaning my carpets have ever had. I have lived her 5 years and get my carpets cleaned at least 2 times a year and Herb was able to get dirt and stains out that no one else could. He gave me a quote via email and then we discuss a little on the phone. He is an honest man and keeps to his quote even after getting here and realized he had forgotten to include my dining room / living room in his quote he did not add it to the bill. The service was great. My son and daughter-in-law used them before and were very satisfied so I chose Panda based on their recommendation. Herb is a wonderful person to work with. He did a great job. My tile floors were horrific. I had to evict a renter and I was devastated when I saw the condition of the home. I am not sure how anyone could let a baby crawl in the filth that was on the floors. Herb got the floors clean and looking new again. He even lowered his price because he realized I had calculated the square footage wrong. LOVED Herb! The owner is the actual technician that comes to clean your carpets. He is very nice, clean, and super helpful. It can be a little scary having random people come into your home but I felt very safe and comfortable with him. He takes his time, doesn't rush the job, and makes sure it gets done right. I called Panda Carpet and Tile Cleaning. We played telephone tag for a few times but I finally connected with him. He gave me a price over the telephone and sent me a written contract. He arrived on the scheduled time and he did a fantastic job. He even cleaned the baseboards which was an added bonus. He was polite and professional. I would use Panda Carpet and Tile again and would highly recommend his company to my friends and family. It is a one man company so you have to be patient getting a hold of him. I've had a lot of carpet cleaners over the last 30 years and Herb is the best! He's completed two jobs for me. Both excellent results! We leased a condo last year that had a huge stain in the middle of the living room on light carpet. Herb said he may not be able get it all out, but it would be better and if it didn't come out, to now waste anymore money on it. Amazingly, it disappeared completely and never returned. I really appreciate his honesty. He's true to his estimates and never uses high pressure upsell tactics. I highly recommend him. read more

From emailing to inquire with Panda to completing the job, the experience was great. Herb was attentive with emails and provided all information in a clear manner. On the day of service he showed up on time, was very friendly and went straight to work. You can tell he has been doing this for some time, he has a very thorough and professional system to get his work done efficiently! Panda did a great job not only cleaning my carpets and baseboards for a very reasonable price but also were great about working me in before Christmas (have family coming in) and accommodating my work schedule (I work from home). Which is crazy because the unit was kept empty, specifically for service that day, and I had cash in hand to pay him. Walking away on the day of left me in a stressful position having to find a replacement last minute. I would not recommend - go with someone reliable who is not going to change their mind on a whim cause they're having a bad day. EDIT to their response: I never claimed they were overpriced, their prices are average, maybe just slightly on the higher end cause I ended up paying $80 less with the other company I hired. Also, the Ozone treatment was always scheduled for Sunday because as discussed with the owner, the unit needed to be empty for 24 hours so people and pets had to be relocated which needed planning ahead. Last but not least, the claims that I requested wall cleaning or mattress service added last minute are just not true. In fact it was the owner that suggested the mattress had pee stains but I had already ordered a new mattress days before, so why would I want to pay to clean the old one. Makes no sense.
