I could definitely taste that tamarin flavor. Well, Tom yum is a little bit sour. It's from lime juice. Tamarid just has such a distinct flavor, which I don't hate, but that's not what I ordered. Out of curiosity, we asked the server where the chef was from. The chef was from Laos. Again, I have nothing against Laos cuisine. I actually quite enjoy laos cuisine it except it wasn't what I wanted to eat. I wanted Thai food! The chef didn't have to be from Thailand. They just needed to cook proper Thai food. It was more like an eggroll filling. There was just straight up, cabbage in it. Normally eggrolls, have cabbage and pork. Spring rolls have veggie and sometimes the glass noodles and carrots. This was a big bite of fried cabbage rolls in my opinion. If you're looking for a Asian restaurant with an identity crisis, this is a great place to go to!
