VERY DIRTY, AND SMELLY DON"T GO!!! I gave this place a couple of chances and its only gotten worse. The food is greasy, and made me sick i'm not quite sure what was wrong with it because I felt horrible after eating it. The restaurant was grimy smelly,and unclean. Food isn't consistent. I've had one bland experience and another that was pretty good. What makes me not want to eat here, is the unfriendly people. This used to be my favorite Chinese Buffet, then about three months ago the food changed. What used to be the best fried fish at a Chinese restaurant is not the same. The food was cold, the stuffed mushrooms are not the same they are horrible, they put out ranch chicken and shrimp. Never before have I seen ranch chicken in a Chinese Buffet. It was at 5:45 when I ate. I complained to the manager whom I seen before but never talked too and expressed my concerns and he confirmed there were new owners managers. I told him about dinning experience and he said it is slow time so food not as fresh. This really upset me as price just went up to dinner price and if 5:45-6 was not dinner and it was slow when is dinner. I told him that I expected fresh no matter when I came, however to raise price for dinner menu and stuff still cold was unacceptable. He agreed and told me next time I went he would not charge me. Give him another chance. So went back one more time. Same thing, the fish was dry and cold, the shrimp were cooked to rubber, I was very disappointed and sad. Then they brought us the bill and charged us full price. I have served years in customer service, this guy is non customer service oriented. I used to eat there sometimes 5 or 6 times a month. It is now time to find a new place. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. read more

food was bland and I couldn't tell if I was eating coconut shrimp or chicken. sushi is made "fresh" but was mushy. our service wasn't great either. it seemed like we were being rushed. overall not the best experience. we won't be going back for a second visit. read more

This was absolutely the Best buffet I have ever been to! I'm guessing the first review on here was from someone who doesn't eat sushi. The only thing comparable to it would be Nagoya in Baton Rouge. Unless you figure in the cost factor. We ate lunch on Good Friday 2012. It was only $7.25 pp plus Drinks!!!! read more

Every single thing we tried was beyond disgusting. Just don't, unless you enjoy flavorless, mushy food.

We like the food and we usually go there but they don't have professional manner when it comes to treat their regular customer, they don't recognized us as a regular customer and everytime we go there one of the server always mean to us for no reason. We like the booth area and they will tell us that there's no server on that station. I worked at the restaurant industry and I know how you supposed to treat your customer especially a regular customer. We kept going back a lot of time to give them a chance coz we like the food but we got a same treatment everytime we go there. Horrible people and service. I always say yes to a customer to satisfy their needs. They have a horrible customer service and definitely not coming back anymore. And I forgot to add we told to that mean server we want 2 waters and she gave my fiance a coke and we called her and told her that we want water both of us not a cok, she changed it to water but the end of our bill she still charged us the coke that we refused. We hate that server, she always watched us eating and made us very uncomfortable. read more

Will NOT be returning. The food was gross and the service was awful and rude. The waitress sat over our table while we were getting our bill ready when you pay in the front, they don't take it. When asked to give us a minute she rolled her eyes and huffed just to return 30 seconds later. They changed the dinner price, but still had the banner up until my boyfriend said something then the took it down. So a meal that should have been 27 dollars ended up as 40. I hesitate to give this place 3 stars due to the fact that I cannot give it 2 1/2 stars. But, to be honest, I cannot give it two stars because it's on par with any other typical Asian buffet type of restaurant. Let me start with the decor and overall atmosphere of this particular location: It's in dire need of a paint job and wall repair. There is no real decor. It's dated and plain. Overall, it is a clean place though. However, i did not use the restroom, so I cannot comment on that, The staff doesn't seem to know much English, and they don't seem to go out of their way to smile or say anything pleasing. Perhaps it's just a typical custom? Doubtful. I have been to extremely friendly places such as this. On to the food: There were some tasty items. The Sushi isn't bad at all. I'll be honest, it was fresh, made well, and tasted very good as opposed to many other buffets I have eaten at. The crawfish was actually pretty good. The crab legs were tasty, however small. The shrimp was really nice looking, but overcooked; I find that all these buffet places overcook shrimp to the point where you cannot peal the shell. I didn't have anything that tasted bad - so as stated before, I find this place on par with all other types of Asian buffets. However, I will state that i have eaten at a few other buffets here in the Covington / Mandeville area, and this one is by far, much better than the rest. Overall, I would recommend this place to the average, non-fussy eater who wants a variety of typical Asian buffet style food. It's not bad. I hope this helps. read more
