Besides the fact that they have closed their dining room, and they only have one small table in the lobby and one picnic table outside I was looking forward to trying the Chinese food. They make it all fresh however, the only really good thing was the sauce used in triple delight, and the shrimp. We've been going to this Chinese restaurant for years, and it has always been really great food! It's great for take-out, too. Call ahead for your order to be ready when you get there. They are always pretty quick. They do have a dine-in option. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. It's also pretty cheap for what you get. They are also usually open on Christmas, so if you need a last minute meal instead of eating leftovers, it's a great option. My favorite meal is their Sweet and Sour Chicken with pork fried rice. The sauce is put in a container on the side which makes it easier to dip the chicken and also refrigerator it for later if you don't eat your entire meal at once. read more

They had piles of frozen chicken stacked for use on the counter exactly like the frozen kind you can get from Walmart and when we ate ours almost all pieces had big fatty chunks in them. We got Sesame chicken and General Tso and we COULD NOT tell the difference other than one having sesame seeds. The crab Rangoons have very little filling and the lo mien was dry and flavor less. So disappointed. We have visited 3 times within 2 months with the same experiences purely out of convenience of location. We normal go to Golden Wok for quick Chinese and I won't make the mistake of not going there again. Also, the prices are higher by a dollar for the menu that is posted on here. So if you do order add a dollar to everything and that's your real price. Pretty steep for frozen flavorless chicken/noodles and barely filled rangoons. read more

8.28.2020 was the 15th anniversary of Katrina. It was sentimental to pick up a bunch of take out for family. Under covid , there is walkup and pick up. Post Katrina, the couple that had opened China City one year before Katrina set up a table and food warmers outside. For $5, you could fill up a take out plate with whatever was being served. They were a blessing and a reprieve from MRE's. There food was great then and still is. Kudos to the entire family. read more

Just moved to the area and my old spot hasn't been doing so well, so I gave this place a shot. It was good! The lomein is amazing and the fried pork wontons! The crab ragoons are good too. My friend got the shrimp lo mein. Both of our portions were VERY generous. Mine left me with enough food for another meal, and my friend's meal left her with almost 2 more servings. We walked in, placed our order, and were out the door in less than 15 mins! You can also call ahead and order if you're in a rush. Omg! The orange chicken is to die for! I had a craving for Panda Express orange chicken. Unfortunately, there is no Panda Express on the Northshore. So, I tried China City. It was perfect! Better than Panda Express. Hot, fresh, tender, perfectly cooked orange chicken with actual pieces of orange rind flavoring the sauce. Sweet and a little spicy. Highly recommend! Well, I just keep going back for more, so I guess it's time to update my review. I've tried about 15 dishes now and I've never had a bad meal. I really love the ginger shrimp - my new favorite!
