I placed an order tonight for chicken chow mein and received chicken with vegetables. The person called me before hand to ask if I wanted mei fun or chow mein, and I wanted chow mein which is thick noodles. Then when I received it she told me I picked chow mein which to them doesn't have noodles. She said it says on their website the description so she wouldn't give me a refund and didn't have a driver to bring me something else. Overall, I think you should be giving a refund if your dish is different than what it is normally and you didn't explain that it didn't have noodles until I called a second time after receiving it. This could have been an easy fix of just refunding us but they would not do that. I understand you called a first time but it was asked if I wanted glass noodles or chow mein which in my mind I want chow mein the noodles not just chicken and veggies which is not chow mein. read more

In the area from Los Angeles and was looking for some Chinese food to bring to my family. Went to Yelp and found China Kitchen. It was twelve miles out of my way, but I thought I would give it a try. Walked in and was greeted by the owner , Jennifer. She told me that she'd been in business for just over twenty years. I ordered over 70 dollars of food, mostly shrimp dishes (shrimp egg rolls, shrimp chow mein, shrimp chop suey, and shrimp fried rice). The food came out piping hot. It was delicious. My only complaint is I traded an eggroll and asked for a spring roll instead (and paid the extra dollar) and didn't receive it. This restaurant has different prices online. The lunch specials prices online says one thing, but when you pick up your food you are charged another fee. A higher fee. I ordered beef & broccoli with a regular lo mein, no vegetables, and some crab Rangoons and my card was charged $24.04. I called and the girl who answered the phone Jessica was very rude. She tried to say I ordered a large when I didn't. My order came out to me higher then everybody else's order. What I received was not worth $19.04. I am on a diet so I usually get the House Special Wonton Soup which is very good and filling! When I'm not dieting I like the Crab Ragoon and the Roast Pork Lo Mein. My husband usually gets the Spicy Triple Delight or the Singapore Noodles (which is great to try if you want to be adventurous). The old adage of getting what you pay for could not be more true when it comes to food The China Kitchen is clean and the staff are reasonably friendly, but the food is not very good. Terrible service and ended up calling to cancel my order. I watched as 4 people - 3 of them teenage boys - went in and out helping others customers outside and not once acknowledging me. When another new person walked up they acknowledged that person and not me. This was going to be my first time ordering from them and it will definitely be my last. This might be the best Chinese restaurant in the Mandeville area that I have been to. The employees are very nice, the food is good and you can watch them make it.
