Not many Chinese restaurants in the Hammond area so for being a buffet that Food's not bad at all

Prices are good, portions are good, and sometimes they give me a free egg roll. The free egg roll is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. My go-to Chinese place, easily. read more

To be current and fair. We have eaten at China Wok again and they are very much improved! My favorite, Dragon & Phoenix was excellent! My husband said the Pork Fried Rice had less pork than he remembered. We will be eating China Wok again. read more

Fast and tasty food!!! Prices are pretty decent . Service was very good , not much of an ambiance.

We have been looking for a good Chinese place here in Hammond and we found one! The China Wok is built around take out, service is fast and friendly! They only have about three tables to sit at and it's really quiet. They store supplies in the front and have a steady stream of people in and out. I had beef with mixed vegetables and Julie had the beef and peppers. I ate every bite and I was full up. We enjoyed our stay!! read more

The lo mein SO GOOD! They are our go to place whenever I'm craving some really good Chinese food.

This is my go to quick take out Chinese restaurant. In 15 minutes or less I have freshly made and delicious food. The Honey Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken meals are my favs. The egg rolls are also very good. The service is always friendly and helpful. The building itself is in a strip mall, and not fancy at all. The inside is small, with ample space to place orders and pick them up. Not a place to really sit and eat. But the food is worth it being a take and go location. It's very affordable and again great eats. read more

the food was not good unfortunately. it was hot when we got it but it's like it had been heated up . read more

China Wok - the meat is mostly breading and fat and the rice has a weird oldish aftertaste. - Chinese Near Me - Hammond, Louisiana

It's OK we went in there and we felt discriminated a little bit. The young lady had an attitude with us because we chose not to sit on the side where she was trying to put us at and as we looked around we saw some stuff that we didn't like And the food was OK, but would I give them a five star no, probably a 3 1/2 read more

Everything went well. The service is fast and accurate. The food is tasty. One of my favorites right now is the chicken and/or beef with mushrooms. read more

Just ordered lunch. Before we ate our lunch I told my wife this counts as two visits - our first and last. This place is impossible to find. Must be a law in Hammond outlawing addresses on buildings. Goggle said the place was 16 minutes from our house. 40 minutes later we finally stumbled across the place. Saying that ,the food was excellent. We will be back for the food it not before we get a whole earth map. B read more

The foul smell and condition of the place turned me away almost as soon as i walked in . Who could possibly eat in a place that smells like defecation. read more

Ordered chicken fried rice for about $11. I received 95% rice, no veg, no egg and hardly any chicken, basically just rice with zero flavor. Since when does fried rice not have all the ingredients, my advice do not waste your hard earned money !! Yuck ! read more

China Wok - Was told this was chicken fried rice from China Wok in Hammond - Chinese Near Me - Hammond, Louisiana

Great takeout. Quick service. Never disappointed when I get my favorite dishes from here.

This is my go-to place for Chinese food. Food is always ready very quickly and is hot and fresh. The prices are reasonably low, especially when you factor in the large portion sizes. The pork lo mein, chicken and broccoli, and egg rolls are all stand-out items. read more

the Customer Service here is horrible. I witnessed the lady taking orders scream and yell at a customer because she couldn't understand her order. The situation was minor and did not need to go that far. It was nt that serious read more

After moving to my college city, I had to leave my ole faithful hometown Chinese food restaurant behind. After eating at almost all the places Hammond has to offer, China Wok takes the bag! been coming here for about 5-6 years now (JESUS lol). I get the vegetable lo mein with crab wongoons almost every single time. Sometimes I switch it up with the fried rice, which is also great. There is plenty of parking and almost never a longer wait than 10-15 minutes from the time you complete your order. Staff is always friendly too! And the amount you get of noodles or rice is well worth the prices! You can eat on it for days read more

This has been my go-to Chinese food location for about 5 years. I usually call in my order and it's already ready at the given time. I've never had a complaint about many dishes I've tried. My favorite has to be the vegetable mei fun, I can order it nonstop and never get tired of it. I also think it's reasonably priced. read more

China wok was always my favorite Chinese takeout. But since they changed hands a few years ago, even with the same recipes, they have gone way down in quality and way up in price. I don't think I will waste my money there again. read more

Awesome food and always awesome customer service. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting Chinese food.

Food is so disgusting like who voted them the best! Food was just thrown together and burned tasting the wings was the size of a happy meal nugget. read more

Got take out for 4 ppl. All of our entrees were extremely salty to the point that it was inedible! I thought It was just mine (shrimp and broccoli) but my husband said his general tso chicken was very salty too. My mother and children got lomein and shrimp w lobster sauce and they couldn't eat it. We will never return. It is now 5 hours after eating and my ankles are swollen and I'm so dehydrated it's not even funny. Bad quality Sorry we give it a 2/10. NO thank you read more

Good and quick service. Food is yummy! Probably the best takeout in the Hammond area!

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! I haven't had Chinese food this good in awhile! The portions are generous and the food is flavorful and fresh and can't forget DELICIOUS 10/10 would recommend!!!!!! The kitchen was clean and the staff were nice and welcoming.Ordered a small wonton soup, crab Rangoon, sesame chicken with double shrimp fried rice, beef with mixed vegetables with double shrimp fried rice and it took only 10 MINUTES! read more

We ordered spring, shrimp, and pork rolls which were very hot, crispy, and tasty. I'm so glad that they weren't the standard restaurant supply house frozen variety. These were home made! The Mandarin chicken was more than generous, with yet another homemade sauce on top. So glad that it wasn't out of the jar! The shrimp lo mein was also delicious and more than generous in size, as well. We've found our go to take out Chinese, since China Lotus is now serving generic restaurant supply house food. read more

Good food to me! We got honey chicken and coconut shrimp with pork fried rice. Everything was hot and fresh. Rice wasn't dry.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Hammond. They always make your food hot and fresh. I enjoy their spare ribs combo. The garlic chicken combo. I always get a large pork fried rice which is my favorite. I definitely have and will recommend this restaurant to all. read more

China Wok is a great place to grab some wonderful Chinese food on the go. The staff is friendly and the service was quick!

What a great treat after a day's driving and it was close to our hotel. We opted for their dinner special that included an egg roll. The egg roll was crisp and filled with flavor. The price was really a bargain at around $9. The meal, beef and broccoli, was really well done with fresh broccoli and thin slices of beef. The vegetables were fresh and really added to the meal. The prize of the dish was the fried rice, probably some of the best fried rice I've ever had. Great food and if we're in the area again we'll definitely be back!! read more

upon walking up to the door first thing I noticed was how filthy the glass windows and door were. we walked in and immediately walked out after seeing the inside. read more

The best spot for Chinese food in Hammond! We will be back! Came recommended and we were very pleased!

Always had a great experience here - the family who runs it is friendly and have never made an error on my order. The food is prepared to order and is always tasty. I like the "healthy" menu items available and their hot&sour soup is perfect! read more

I've been getting take-out from here since they opened several years ago, when they provided an alternative to a well-known but declining-quality Chinese restaurant a few blocks away. Everything is generally a cut above the average Chinese take-out, and miles beyond those buffet places where everything tastes the same. The peripherals (egg rolls, soups, etc.) are merely average, but the entrees are consistently delicious. Especially recommend: Mongolian Beef, Chicken (or beef) in Black Bean Sauce, and my favorite, Chicken with Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, which isn't on the menu, but is always on the dry-erase board as a special. read more

VERY ordinary, run of the mill, nothing special at all Chinese food (or what passes for Chinese food in this part of the country.) I would not drive even a mille to eat here. Two thumbs down. read more

This is my go to place for high quality affordable and fresh Chinese food. This is mostly a take out place so there is no buffet and every order is fresh and made to order. Quality is very consistent and I have never had a wait of more then 10 mins. I would give 5 stars if they had a eat in restaurant. Ask for their homemade mustard sauce. Beef and Mushrooms is my fave. They also do a great egg foo young. read more

This is the best NY Style Chinese food in hammond. I've been ordering for China Wok for nearly 5 years and I've never been disappointed. It's a great family owned business. The owners are friendly and the food is good. Never more than a 10 minute wait! read more

Don't order from here unless you speak their language! We spent well over $50.00 and our order was completely messed up! When we called them back to explain that they had messed up, they told us that we told them that. Sorry excuse for customer service! read more

The Imperial Chicken is top tier. This is the ONLY restaurant that sells it. I moved to Dallas a while ago and when I'm in town, I get lunch from here everyday. If you don't know what to get, get the imperial chicken. read more

China Wok is the only Chinese restaurant on the north shore that I go to. There is so much variety to choose from and everything I've had has been delicious, good quality food. You truly can't beat the value of their lunch & dinner plates; I always have leftovers! Their cashiers/employees answering the phone are very kind. Food is usually ready within 10 minutes! Overall great food and service. read more
