Very upset that this food was rancid . The rice was from previous day or two. It's tasted like old grease and was very chopped and recooked . The potstickers were very thick The dumpling . The sauce for them was good . Egg Foo young was burned . Made me sick with that grease . And when I called nothing was said . Bring it in we will make fresh . This is the WORST place to eat in Louisiana!!! Also my order was 2 and 1/2 hours late and 2 and 1/2 miles from them. So that's no excuse! Plus I was charged 3 times on my debit card!!! Never again!!! read more

I ordered dinner to be delivered. 2 items were missing. I called the restaurant and they insist the items were in the bag, refusing to send our other 2 entrees we paid for. This is a dishonest and awful business to deal with. The food they sent did not taste good either. Beware!!!! read more

Someone once told me that you can judge a Chinese restaurant by it's hot and sour soup. That if their H&S soup was good then they were good. I have to say that the Hot & Sour soup from here is excellent. read more

We tried to give this place a fair shake. Food is decent and prices are good but the service is terrible. Online orders took over an hour and a half for delivery or I'd call to check on a status of an order after an hour of waiting and they'd say "it's on its way" and it would show up a half hour later because they just cooked it. In person takes over half an hour of sitting in the restaurant. Tired of having people sitting and waiting on a dinner that isn't going to show up. read more

It's your typical small Chinese restaurant. There are the stock photos of the meals on the wall above the register and a cluttered kitchen you can see when you walk in. There isn't a lot of seating but it's enough. Rarely have I walked in to see more than 2 groups dining in. Usually my go to meal is General Tso but at this place I prefer the honey chicken. It is delicious. I'm not an egg roll fan but my coworkers love them from this place. I usual go with the lunch special which is pork fried rice & one meat. The lunch combo is a bigger portion & comes with egg roll or in my case double rice. The best thing about this place is the food is served hot. Cooked right when you order. I found that the food at a few Chinese buffet places in the area was only hot when you got there between 11-11:30. That's not a problem at China Garden. One more thing. I have iPhone 5 with AT&T. My phone does not work inside the restaurant. I've only manage to check in once and that was from the parking lot. I get no service once I walk in. read more

They are great Chinese fast food. Delivery is great, always get the crab Rangoon, egg rolls, lo mein, cashew chicken, sesame chicken, egg Foo young, sweet sour etc. Always consistent and good. Recommended, especially since deliver! read more

I haven't been pleased with the closer Chinese take-out restaurant lately and I had a sick child. Was up with him most of the previous night so I didn't want to even THINK about cooking. Looked around on Yelp and decided to call China Gardens to see if they delivered. YES! Wasn't sure what to expect, but the hot and sour soup and cashew chicken didn't disappoint -- they were both wonderful. The soup was full of mushrooms and tofu and had just the right amount of spice. (I could've stopped there but there is a $15 minimum order for takeout, which seemed fair.) The cashew chicken had a ton of cashews, with plenty of chicken and veggies. Not much "filler" stuff (bamboo sprouts and such.) I'm not a big eater, but even so the soup and the entrée were enough to feed three people. This will be my go-to Chinese takeout/delivery place from now on! read more

It was adequate for buffet style food. The sushi was good. The price is very fair for lunch did not look at the price for dinner. Service was adequate at best. I would not recommend it if you were looking for true Chinese food. read more

Made a big order tonight from this place, from which we never ordered before (always want o try new places). Maybe we're spoiled with New Orleans Chinese take-out, but we literally couldn't eat this. Egg rolls were super salty. So was house fried rice. Like, too salty to eat, and my hubby is a huge egg roll fan. The "Kung Po" dish had almost the same sauce as the brown sauce in the other dish, that contained fried chicken as a topper plus some lobster. Listen, people, the chicken was flabby, the the "lobster" was tough as a boot and inedible. Shrimp in both dishes big, fresh and plump, though. Other meats were mushy, except for the flabby fried chicken and the lobster boot. They give you huge portions, though. I guess they cater to people who want to gorge themselves and their families on a lot of food. But it just was not good Chinese food, and the lobster was way too scary to eat. I went there because I found a flyer in my mailbox. Got the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce lunch special. The most disgusting dish I have ever had. Way too much cornstarch in the food. Texture was gelatinous and tasteless. Besides, the place was a mix of gift shop and restaurant. Hopefully, there will be new management. It's hopeless now. read more

Fast, courteous delivery to Best Western (25 minutes). They have a huge menu, though I wonder about how much the seasonings really vary. We got the Triple Delight and Shrimp with Broccoli, and the sauces weren't much to write home about, but ingredients were cooked perfectly. (No over cooked veggies or seafood here!) China Garden did not deliver our pre-arranged lunch order on time; repeatedly advised that their driver was only five minutes away until more than half our scheduled lunch session had elapsed; then did not (or pretended not to) understand our request to cancel the order. We repeatedly stated that our lunch session was nearly over, that we no longer needed the food, and that the order should be cancelled. The person repeatedly responded "one more minute." We then very clearly stated that the order was to be cancelled, requested that the pending charge be released, and we ended the call. As if the preceding were not sufficiently bad customer service, the China Garden delivery driver showed up, ten to 15 minutes later, and began aggressively knocking and speaking in a very loud voice. When we sought to minimize further disruption by opening the door and advising that the order had been cancelled, the driver became even more aggressive and belligerent--yelling and then staring with the most disturbing and menacing scowl. We advised that his behavior was unprofessional and extremely disruptive and that we would request that he be escorted off the property if he did not leave. We then received an out-of-area call from someone representing China Garden, advising that their driver was outside with our food and was only late because of traffic. We advised that, while we understood traffic issues, our order was very specific regarding the required delivery time, that it was arranged far enough in advance for potential traffic delays to have been factored into that delivery time, that the afternoon session had already started, that the food was no longer needed, and that their driver's behavior was quite disturbing. The person then said that we should take the food and they would give us a discount on a future order. We advised that we did not want the food, that we had no interest in placing future orders, and again requested that the pending charge for the cancelled order be released from our credit card. The person with whom we were speaking then began repeating, "You are mean" and attempted to continue arguing. We stated that if they chose not to release the pending charge, we would have to wait for it to post, and then be forced to dispute it. I would say that China Garden's customer service couldn't be worse, but that remains to be seen. read more
