Not only was she late for my appointment but she took 5hours to do my hair just to mess it up. I wanted highlights! However half of my hair is lighter than the other half. All the highlights look out grown as if I need a touch up for months. She missed a lot of my hair from the back and front where she could have added highlights. Worst stylist ever!! read more

Came in to get my daughter's hair dyed and trimmed. If there is one thing I can't stand it's making an appointment, getting there early and then waiting well past my appointment time. The stylist, Vanessa, came out and greeted us but said it would still be a little bit before she could get to us because she had to blow out a client. So we wait. She finally came and got us, only to tell us the hair dye would only last about a week. I don't know anything about cosmetology but that just sounded strange. She said without bleaching my daughter's hair, the dye wouldn't last. But when I made the appointment I stated I wanted her hair dyed so I didn't understand what the issue was. She didn't end up bleaching her hair, she just put the dye over her untreated hair, but it's ok I suppose because she has strawberry blonde hair. My daughter is small, so when Vanessa rinsed her hair, she used 2 patio chair cushions and a kitchen chair cushion for my daughter to sit on to be able to reach the sink, and she was sliding down, so she asked me to hold the cushions. So there I was, in the middle of the salon on the floor, holding some cushions! Also, is it normal to not go all the way to the roots when applying dye? She left quite a bit of space. I won't be going back here. Cost: $50 (plus I added a $10 tip, so $60) Time: in at 1:40, out at 3:40. ::EDIT:: After going through the pictures of Panache on Yelp, I came across the 10% off military discount picture that was posted one month ago. At the beginning of our appointment I told Vanessa my husband and I were both in the Air Force (therefore why I brought my daughter to her, because I have to wear my hair in a bun every day and know nothing about cosmetology) yet she did not mention the discount and it wasn't reflected in the final bill. I love this place I went yesterday 9/8/2017 for a quote on how much it would be to fix the abominated hair and it maybe pricy for most people but knowledge isn't cheap, if you wanna go to a cheap salon where they do iffy work go for it, but I'm recommending this salon. I've been getting pampered at Panache for well over five years, and I cannot say enough about how phenomenal this salon is. Laura has cut my hair for a handful of years and has done a fantastic job. She has saved my hair from a self dyeing disaster, helped me chop off 12", and always leaves me with a cut, color, or style that I never regret getting. Becca has tamed my thick brows without over waxing them(which so many other salons are never able to do!) Ashley gives amazing massages! After getting my mom a full body massage and hearing her rave about it for an entire week, I had to see what was so great about it. You are in capable hands during your massage session with Ashley. Linda and Mary, the receptionists/hosts, are always kind and make sure you are comfortable if you are needing to wait for your appointment. They offer coffee and water while you can wait in either the salon or the back porch which has an adorably small garden area. I would give Panache 10 stars if I could!!! I came in with my husband and son. The moment we came in, we were pleasantly greeted and offered some water to drink. I didn't have to wait long to be called in for my appointment. I had my hair cut by Priscilla. She is AWESOME! She is very friendly. I showed her a picture of the look I was going for and she gave me great recommendations. She washed my hair and gave me a great scalp massage. Priscilla took her time cutting my hair and drying it and also asked me if I wanted it styled. I came out of the salon very satisfied! Price was great too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my haircut! So, after being contacted by the owner, we set up a time and date to fix my hair.There was not a single moment where the stylist was rude or made any comment towards being upset about the review, which I really appreciated. She already had an idea in mind about how to fix it, and it looks great! Every loves it, and I love that if I want to get some extensions or something, it'll be a lot easier to match up. I appreciate that she took the time on her day off to pencil me in. I will say, however, that when I first spoke to owner, it was pretty obvious that it was more so about maintaining good reviews on Yelp to her, than helping me. I have given this place five stars before and I will do it again. NOTE: I only reserve five stars for a place that is truly life changing. This salon is life changing. So here I go... I've been to a lot of hair salons around the Antelope Valley, but man this place makes the other salons look mediocre. Seriously, the stylists are amazing (Amanda Knapp is my girl... More on her coming up), the atmosphere is GREAT, but most importantly the customer service is amazing. The staff make you feel like royalty. Every time I call in, the woman who answers the phone is very polite and courteous and never makes me feel rushed. The very first time I ever called Panache, the woman who answered gave me a virtual tour of the salon over the phone and NO ONE had ever done that, not even the "5 star" salon in Beverly Hills that I had once went to for a blowout did that over the phone. I strongly feel that customer service truly makes a huge impact on whether a customer decides to come back or not. BTW I never went back to that salon in Beverly Hills. Now let me talk about my go-to hair stylist Amanda Knapp. I have curly, frizzy, thick, hard-to-manage hair. I mean it looks like uncooked ramen noodles when I don't flat iron my hair. So it takes a special hair stylist to make it look amazing... And Amanda is that special hair stylist. I recently went in to get a Brazilian blowout type of treatment (they use the "Pravana Smoothing System" instead of the actual Brazilian blowout because they don't have sufficient ventilation for it, but it is just as good) and holy crayoli... It was life changing. Amanda worked on my hair for THREE hours... But she did it with a smile on her face and did NOT ever make a snide comment regarding how lengthy the process was or how hard it was to work on my hair. She did an AWESOME job. When I go in for haircuts, I get the "dry haircut" (which basically means no shampoo or styling) and she does an amazing job with that as well. Her prices are VERY fair and her quality is top notch. This girl is very talented. I hope she never stops working here or moves to another state. Very selfish of me... But I will never find someone like her in another place. I went there last night. My appointment was at 6:30pm. It was my first time there. I had a haircut and hair colored. They took care of me really good. Yazmin Lopez was my hairstylist. She did a good job. I love my haircut and hair color she recommended to me. And she gave me discount! I got pretty good deal!! And the Salon was so clean and very organize. I have been to Panache several times to get my haircut, and Jillian is my preferred stylist. When I called to make my first appointment, the woman who answered the phone asked me about my hair, style, and what I was looking for. She recommended Jillian, and I've been with her since. Jillian does a great job, she listens, she will find pictures for reference, and she sends me home with a haircut that suits my hair, face, and needs. Overall, I've had a great experience with Panache. Customer service is great, whoever answers the phone is always very polite and helpful. Been going here for a few times now and Jilian is wonderful. She listens to my ideas and make them reality. And it doesn't hurt that she knows her stuff and she does the strand test to make sure the color set in properly. Amazing! On a different note... Sarah does amazing things with skin. UPDATE: I was given a full refund and they were very nice and understanding about the issues I had with my hair services and I really appreciated that! We both agreed that my hair just didnt take well to the products/technique and it was not a stylist or product issue at all. I have a lot of very thick, long, 3B curly hair, so I understand that it can be difficult to deal with if its something a stylist isnt used to. This really is a wonderful salon, with excellent customer service and an owner who really cares about her customers-- even the unhappy ones! I will definitely come back for some of their other services (they also do nails and facials) and if you have finer textured or straight hair I would recommend checking them out as well because the color and blow out work they do is really top-notch from what I have seen. ----Let me start with the good. Panache is a really beautiful salon, very clean, and everyone is really friendly and helpful. I am in no way saying that Panache is a bad salon or my stylist was a bad stylist, I am just going to tell my experience. I thought my stylist was a little rough with my hair but this is the first time I have ever been to a salon and I did not know if thats just a normal thing or maybe I am just too critical so I didnt say anything about it. My cut is uneven. I get it, my hair is extremely curly and thick and its hard to match up so I am not even upset about it because my stylist tried really hard and I appreciate her effort. Whats bringing my review down is that even though I received a deep conditioning treatment and had a very thorough detangling (my head is still sore), when I returned home and my hair was dry; I noticed it was very brittle and matted. I would post a picture of how much broken hair came out when I put my hands in it but I just started crying and was too focused on fixing my hair to take one. After using a store brand deep conditioner and detangling (again--after my 45 minute detangling session for my trim), my hair seemed okay and my curls were back but It still felt very dry, almost over processed, and a little matted. Which is strange because I do not use chemicals on my hair, my last bout with dye was almost 3 years ago. My style was also lacking in definition and weird so I wore a bun for the rest of the day before I could get home.. This salon experience was pleasant and ill probably recommend it to my straight-haired friends, but the dryness and breakage that overcame my previously very manageable hair was traumatizing. I think this will be my first and last salon experience and hopefully I can get a refund. Since I paid for a conditioning and trim and left with very dry, matted and uneven hair. read more

This is a massage review. Massage by Ashley at the Panache is simply the best!! I think I went to her originally about year or two ago. I've been going to different massage places around Lancaster and Palmdale, event signed a membership with Massage Envy hoping for a bingo, but nothing compares to Ashley. I now usually get a 90 minute massage. After seeing her few times, she'll figure your body out and know the spots that needs worked on. She will use warm towel to soften the muscle, as well as a warm "pillow" under your neck when you turn over that has I think Lavender scent. She is VERY thorough. I called early in the morning and was able to get a same-day appointment. I came and was surprised by the place. I have driven by many times and never even realized. There is parking in the back of the Salon and you walk through a nice courtyard. Lexie was great. I think she just came on staff but she was AMAZING. I brought my products, she was I'm with it. She did not up sale me any products. She kept me entertained for the length of time it took to color, wash, and trim my hair. She did not walk away when I was waiting for the dye, she stayed we talked. I liked that. That may be something that is a turn-off for most but it was that little detail that made me feel like I was a VIP customer. When she washed my hair she is the one who remembered I wanted to use my own products. Once again feeling like someone is listening and I'm a VIP. When leaving another lady (I wish I could remember her name) discussed products with me and it wasn't a sales pitch. She understood and gave me samples of products I would actually use. I personally didn't have a good experience, the stylist i had seemed like she didn't want to do my hair at the consultation but made an appointment anyway. I was told to straighten my CURLY hair the day before my appointment. When the bleach was on, the stylist was SCRAPING off the bleach with a towel and a spray bottle. When washing my hair she was vigorously rubbing my scalp that led to itching and burning, which to this day still hurts. She let me leave the salon with yellow hair that it looked like a cheetah and my hair was dripping wet and she didn't even style it. She wanted me to stay three weeks with horrible cheetah hair. I paid 125$ to get my hair bleached, I expected more from this place after seeing some good reviews , they are very friendly, but I won't be coming back. read more

Love!!! Called Panache at the recommendation of a friend. Asked for Amanda and got an appointment for the next day. When I walked in, the ladies greeted me and gave me a tour. It is very clean and decorated tastefully. I had brought my five month old son with me, but it didn't bother anyone! Some of the stylists even played with him while I got my hair cut. Amanda did a great job. She did exactly what I wanted and paid about $30 for the wash, cut and style. She also instructed me on how to achieve the same look at home. I will be going back. I knew within a few minutes it was a mistake to have booked the appointment for a hair coloring. The person who did my hair carelessly took the brush full of color out of the plate and splashed color onto my nose and face. When I left and looked in the car mirror I had color all over my hairline and stained on my face. I called them and they promised it would come off with my regular face soap and it did not, so I went to work the next day looking silly. I also noticed that she missed grey hair around my temples. I called to complain and they offered to book another appointment to touch up but I decided I had no trust in them and no interest in spending more wasted time there. Less then two weeks after the appointment my grey hair is starting to show again. I could have paid $5 to buy a box color with less frustration. I want a refund and an apology. read more
