Do NOT go to Bianca. She ruined my hair & for some reason could not do what i wanted to be done. I had a balayage done about a year ago and had some growth so i asked bianca if she can get me back to the blonde i had. I left the salon with wet hair...and as soon as i blow dried it at home, i noticed how patchy the highlights were and how orange it looked. Terrible experience with the stylist. I believe I had Bianca, shes very young and I was a little skeptical cuz i prefer to go to people with lots of experience... First visit to a salon in a long time. It took me a while to find a hair stylist and Yelp did not let me down. Location - convenient, easy to find, private lot with free street parking available for overflow. Salon - clean, friendly receptionist, 14 chair stations, 4 wash stations, 3 dryer stations. The upstairs offers other spa services but I didn't get a chance to visit. Services - there's something for everyone. Men, women, children, simple style, all out glam, and everything between. My stylist - Shianne Dion (pronounced as Shane). I found her on Yelp at a different salon but she recently moved to Christopher Michael's. She is GREAT!!! Making an appointment was a breeze, I even got a confirmation text message. She's quite popular and efficient. At my 11am appointment, I was already her 8th client! My hair has been neglected for years! I also dye my hair using over the counter products but inconsistently. Shianne took the time to ask me what I wanted and assessed my current hair health and gave me options on how to get to my desired look. It will take a few sessions to get to where I want to be. My hair is naturally dark and I wanted to go lighter. Since I've been using over the counter dyes to cover my roots, my hair had different layers and lengths of "black" (sounds so bad). She took the time to lighten my hair in different time frames. I went through the bleach-wash option and Shianne made sure that she maintained the moisture of my hair. After lifting the color, she added a filler, and then applied a beautiful medium brown all over. I am so happy with the results! The products she used on my hair smelled and felt amazing. It felt luxurious! Her assistant who helped wash and dry my hair is also super friendly. They make a great team. I'm beyond ecstatic for my next appointment! I highly recommend Shianne! read more

I guess a trim means hacking off my hair huh? Went here to get a haircut and booked an appointment with a Ms. Yung (spelling?). I wanted a simple trim with a little bit of texturizing at the ends as I'm trying to grow my hair out. Boy did she cut my hair, like a LOT of it. Not only did she cut off too much of my hair she decided to give me layers. I don't recall ever wanting layers, EVER but she did it anyways and they look really choppy. She cut off way too much in the front and then thinned out my already THIN FINE hair with a razor. So now I have bangs in the front, which I didn't want, and hair in the back that wasn't trimmed so my hair looks kind of like a mullet now. Keep in mind that I just wanted a SIMPLE TRIM not all of this other garbage done to my hair. She also didn't let me finish telling her how I styled my hair and she placed me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing. I honestly felt like I was being rushed out the door the moment I got there. I think she overbooked and was rushing me out because of that. Which if that were the case then she shouldn't have booked me for an appointment at that time. The shampooing was really rough and uncomfortable, there was a lot of unneeded yanking and pulling which made it hard to relax. She didn't even ask if I wanted a shampoo either, which fun fact I didn't want. She was also way too rough when she was cutting and blow drying my hair and I just felt like it was really unnecessary to put a flat iron to the damaged parts of my hair. Really by the time she was done my scalp was throbbing. In short, I really really REALLY HATE how my hair turned out, the service was just not good and I don't I'll come back to this place after the way I was treated. On Saturday, I took my wife to this salon to have her hair cut. She is bound but can go out in a wheelchair. She has trouble brushing her hair, so it was a mess. The stylist came to the waiting area, looked at her, and said "no way". It was the most unprofessional behavior I have seen from a supposed professional. We went to Supercuts. They were friendly, did a great job, and charged a fair price. I will never go near Christopher Michael's Salon again. This place doesn't even deserve one star. My hair was ruined by Steve Morales who states he is the owner, Hahahaha! When I returned to have him fix it he refused and I was told to leave and he was calling the police. Seriously beyond unprofessional. Hair is everything to some people and to ruin someone's hair and not care is so sad. The girl that got her hair done before ended up with mud green hair by Steve. I should of known when he was bashing on her to me that I should of left. He kept saying to me "why did I take this client" the stylist who works next to him had to finish his job. It's not her fault that her hair turned mud green and it's not my fault that my hair looks like tiger strips and has about an inch of lines from my scalp. Made a same day appointment on a Saturday and was accommodated. I've driven by many times but never noticed the place before. Cute building, cozy, and clean. First time customer didn't know what to expect. Got Sonia to do my hair. She did a nice wash and asked me questions about my daily style in order to make suggestions. I liked that because there's been times that I didn't really know what would look nice on me. She matched exactly what I had in mind and was very friendly. I loved that she spent her time styling my hair which turned out great. I have been going to Steve at Christopher Michael's for about 2 years now and I couldn't say enough wonderful things about him and his talent! I wish I could give him 10 stars, but yelp doesn't let me do that! Steve has such an eye for color and I'm always amazed at how he transforms my hair. Steve is very patient with my requests and talks everything through with me before he starts. He has such a wonderful personality and makes you feel like family when you sit in his chair and the time goes by so fast! This review is for my now ex-hairdresser of 10+ years, Shianne (pronounced Shane). In February 2018, I was ready to begin the process of going red and after and 8-hour session, my hair wasn't similar to the picture I had shown her, but we weren't far off and she promised we were an application and some balayage strips away. Ok. On March 24, I went in for the root application and balayage as described above. Right when I walked in the door I noticed Shane's hair was dark, which it hadn't been in a very long time because she prefers blonde, but she's a stylist so I didn't think anything of it. Then she excitedly mentioned how she was using a "green" product now and how much healthier it is for your hair. Again, I thought nothing of this conversation other than she's excited to share her discovery. I sat in the chair while she worked on 3-4 other people. When she came over she showed me the hair samples and asked if I wanted a more copper or golden red. I chose the hair sample that matched my hair that had grown out. Since she had so many other clients she was working on, per usual, her assistant applied the root color. Once I got washed & blow dried I saw that my roots were BLACK!!!! She came over and mentioned how it was dark. For once in my life I was at a loss for words. I wanted to cry! How could this happen to me? I had a family vacation planned in one week. She offered to put highlights in my hair to break it up or bleach wash the color out. I had already been there over 5 hours and had to get home to my family. The highlights was not what I had wanted to achieve with my hair. I was certain she would fix so I said I would wait until my next visit. The best part of this visit is when she charged me for the balayage, cut, & style. I was baffled, but paid her anyway because arguing with someone over money is just awkward. On 5/5 I went in for the correction and as soon as I walked through the door she was surprised and said I wasn't on her calendar. I told her I had an appointment. After all, in 10 years of seeing her I had rescheduled once. I reminded her of our conversation when I made the appointment and she took me. Another over booked appointment with her. At this appointment I specifically asked her if she would be able to get me where I wanted to be and correct the previous "green" color application. She said yes. After the wash and blow dry I wasn't where I wanted to be (again), but anything was better than black roots. The lighting in the salon isn't the best so I didn't notice what my hair really looked like. It just looked better than what it had been for 6 weeks. I paid her and left. Well, you can see from the picture added to this post (me in front of mirror) which was taken after the first wash following my appointment that she messed up again. It took one wash and blow dry for me to see the undeniable demarcation on my head. Now I looked like a zebra with root color, a black stripe, & the remaining color on he rest of my hair. Shane merely applied color over color for the correction instead of stripping it. Why would she strip it when she had somewhere to be over 100 miles away by 1pm? I texted her the pic immediately and got silence. I waited one week for her to respond before I followed up. Of course she didn't get the picture. After several texts back and forth, she refused to see me for a correction because, "she's running a business and can't just drop her clients for me." Actually, you should because I've been walking around like a clown since 3/24 and have been a loyal client for 10+ years. I had gone for a consultation elsewhere for the correction and was quoted $100 per hour, starting at $350. I have a lot of hair and knew it would cost closer to $700-$800. I texted Shianne and asked her if she was willing to cover partial and she said no because she was willing to fix it. At this point the earliest appointment option I was given was 6/23 which was 6 weeks away from my last appointment or she gave me options during the week in the morning when I work 77 miles away! Can you tell how hard she tried to help me? Magically when I asked for her to help cover the costs of her mistake, she asked me to drive to her other salon in Temecula the following weekend. Well, check out the remaining 4 pictures to see where she left me. An evident case of negligence here. Yes, she was very much aware of my dissatisfaction as I left the salon. Again, I left peacefully, rather than really telling her how I felt because she was already working on another client (surprise, surprise). Shane isn't a loyal person and has horrible business practices. She's great if you are not someone who gets their hair done regularly but if you're looking for a permanent stylist, keeping looking. She pays more attention to newer and elderly clients versus her loyal clients. read more
