Sweet spot on gothic qtr…read more We didn't have reservations but came right when they opened and got seated right away before the reservation folks showed up. We had about an hour they said. We ordered: - organic potatoes bravas Had so much bravas they all taste good haha different flavor profile here but it was tasty, potatoes crispy. - palamós shrimp croquettes Textures seem to be the same as the Barcelona way, puree consistency filling, but flavor was spot on i enjoyed these. - Confit octopus finished on the grill, smoked paprika oil, osmosed orange, fennel, black olive I don't normally like octo, but this one had good tender texture, not extra chewy or rubbery - Beef tenderloin, green peppercorn jus, crispy confit potatoes, grilled zucchini Good tender texture and juicy, the green peppercorn sauce paired real well with the beef. The crispy potato confit was like, flaky outer shell and a scalloped potato inside. - Homemade Truffle Raviolis in a creamy truffle sauce with Parmesan and sage Give me 3 of these orders. The truffle raviolis was bomb! - 2 glasses of rose to wash it all down! Service was kind, and quick! No complaints here really. Took awhile to get our check was about it.

Arrived before my room is ready so wandering around led me to Ton kotsu for a comforting bowl of ramen. Having not eaten Asian food for some time, this was an unexpected treat! The noodles were cooked perfectly with a hint of al dente for chewiness. I am from California and it's been awhile since I've had ramen and I would grade this bowl as top notch! The sign out front highlighted that they had both gluten-free and vegan options, so we decided to step inside for lunch. I ordered a Bao with tofu and pickles to start (3.80€) and then a tofu Bibimbap (9.25€) for my main course. For those who don't know, Bibimbap is a popular Korean dish that literally means "mixed rice." In addition to the tofu, it was served with sauteed vegetables and hot chili pepper paste on a bed of rice. My understanding is that it usually also is served with a fried egg, but of course, that was left off of my entree to keep the dish vegan. My wife ordered the Shoyu Ramen, made with rice noodles to keep the dish gluten-free. Everything was absolutely delicious! I only wish that we would have had the opportunity to return for another meal, but alas, that will need to wait for our next visit to Barcelona later this year.
