Shoyu ramen with tamago and seaweed.
    John M.

You can only do so much tapas and paella before you need something else. This was our something else. When you're tired, and want a pick-me-up, a bowl of hot ramen is what the doctor ordered. The noodles were done well, just al-denote with a little bite/chew to the noodle. The broth was rich, thick, and hardy. The egg (ajitsuke tamago) was probably the best I've had outside of Tokyo. Very friendly staff, great food, and exactly what we needed for a Saturday lunch.

Some variety in Barcelona. Instead of your typical tapas we wanted a change. This was a good choice. Overall, the food is good and the atmosphere is fun. One of us probably should have chose the ramen but didn't. We all liked our dishes. While nothing particularly excited us, it wasn't bad.

After eating at tapa restaurants one after another it WAS time to have some Ramen!! A cute, tiny Japanese Ramen/fusion house off of Passeig de Grácia, serves excellent Ramen! The kids liked the Pad Thai with chicken and our server was friendly and helpful! Nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the street in Barcelona. ¡Volveremos otra vez muy pronto!

Presentation was spot on, egg yolk was soft boiled, the noodles were fine, but the broth didn't have that rich deep pork flavor.

After 3 days of tapas and Catalan cuisine, I needed noodles. Chose this place as it was close to our airbnb. Tinkotsu has a couple of small tables outside but since its right on a busy road, we sat in. The resto has a nice clean feel, has a/c (rare!), and the service is fast and efficient. We ordered two bowls of ramen (can't remember the types). The presentation was very nice, egg was perfectly done, noodles and broth was satisfying but not as rich nor had that depth of flavor as it looked. Overall, if you need a fix and you're nearby, give this place a visit.

Usually so happy to have found an Asian restaurant in Barcelona but was quite disappointed in this place. It took the waiter a while to acknowledge me and my two friends and even longer for him to bring the menu over. Service is quite dismal. I ordered the menu temporada, which was an appetizer, entree, drink and dessert. For my stater, I had a pumpkin curry soup. Boy it was good. Had a drizzle of light cream and when you mixed the soup in, it marbled marvelously! I then ordered a chicken dish that came with spices in a yogurt sauce and basmati rice. After fifteen minutes of waiting, I was served two chicken breasts and four slices of grilled zucchini. My friend and I (who also ordered this) sat for another five minutes waiting for the rice until we confronted the waiter for it. He came by and told us that they were out of rice and left. It doesn't make sense to me that an Asian restaurant would run out of rice in the afternoon and even worse, the waiter didn't even tell us that/didn't offer alternatives. We called him over again asking for an alternative side and he told us he had gyozas, which we didn't want (chicken with gyoza just doesn't make sense, we wanted a starch). He just left so we had to call the manager, who finally offered us rice noodles. She finally came by again and gave us a plate of noodles to share. Overall my experience was unnecessarily hectic and the service doesn't warrant anything higher than three stars. Not returning again unless I see a different waitstaff because my friend and I just left annoyed and hungry.

Gyozas were served a lil cold, but still good!

Quite possibly the best pad Thai I've ever eaten. This place was just around the corner from our hotel and I must have eaten here every day!

We came here on a Friday night and there was a fair amount of people dining in. Despite having a few tables to wait on; the waitress here was quick to take our orders. We happened to come on a Lenten Friday and so our options for non meat was a bit limited. We got Ginataang Dorada and Tuna (Fish in Coconut Cream), Pancit Miki Bihon (Noodles) and Paella Mixed Seafood. Though our orders were placed quickly. It took quite sometime to get our orders. It took a good hour and we were quite hungry by the time our meals finally came. The Pancit Miki Bihon was beautifully plated but I was definitely surprised with the small portion size. The small portion size was a bit of a bummer as thought the Pancit itself was pretty good in flavor. It has a good mix of veggies with cauliflower and brocolli. The Ginataang Dorada was also an ok dish in terms of flavor. It has lots of beans and some butternut squash. There was definitely more green beans in there than squash. This dish was enjoyable with white rice. We also tried some of their puto; Filipino steamed rice cake. The waitress told us these were freshly made. These were very soft tasty. It was really nice to find Filipino food in Barcelona. The meal was enjoyable though there were some things I wish were a little bit better in terms of this visit. The wait time for food was too long and also thought portion size was a bit small. Despite this; I am still very happy to have enjoyed Filipino food in Barcelona. I've always thought Filipino food should be known worldwide and definitely loved seeing a Filipino spot in the heart of the city.

A short walk over from The Rambla and our hotel in the gothic quarter, this place offered friendly service and a taste of home for those looking for authentic Filipino foods as well as those looking to try something new. We had the sigsig, pancit, and lumpia... our usual go to food when trying any new Filipino restaurant and all of them were served up tasty and yummy. The pancit was flavorful, the sigsig was crunchy and spicy. We topped it off with a halo halo which was also very good. Nearing the end of our dinner, a group of Filipinos entered all searching for some comfort food and they ordered a large amount of many dishes, so I assume they found the place after hearing about it from other Filipinos thru the grapevine Definitely a different cuisine than most of the other Spanish restaurants and fast food American places and would recommend a visit !
