Unfortunately didn't get a photo of the food, but it was absolutely incredible. My Fiance and I loved this place so much that we came back again the next night (I've never done that). My lychee drink was amazing, and the massaman curry, bao buns, and the Phuket Hokkien Mee we're absolutely to die for. I'm obsessed with the vibe of this place and the staff were incredible. One of my favorite restaurants literally ever!

The restaurant is really cute inside with a drink menu inside a passport. The staff are really friendly and fun to talk to. The salt and pepper calamari had an interesting sauce and can be a little salty for some. The peking duck bao was good but was missing the crunchy skin I would associate with peking duck. The Tom Yam Kung had a good amount of large shrimp and portion of noodles. I enjoyed the broth as well. If you're looking for Asian fusion with a nice ambience, this is a good spot to check out.

I really wanted to give this place a high rating. Some context, I'm from San Diego, CA and we have excellent Asian food accessible to us. I was missing some home flavors and came to this place because of its high ratings. The am since is cool, the music is catchy, the menu of drinks is cool. We ordered the classic pho, the chicken laarb, a salty pepper fried calamari, steamed eggplant (which never came) and for drinks the pandan curaçao and the insane in the membrane. The drinks were good but fell short of my expectations having been to the 52 remedies speakeasy in San Diego. I couldn't taste the alcohol in the pandan curaçao drink but it was yummy. The insane in the membrane drink was served in a funny monkey head cup but was more ice than drink. I would give the pho a 6/10, not bad but a bit salty. I would not order the laarb again. The first couple of bites were good but then it was just too sweet. For those of you familiar with Mexican mariscos, it tasted like a chicken ceviche but with too much ketchup. I'm not saying they out ketchup in the laarb but it was too sweet and didn't balance the sour. I would give the fried salt and pepper calamari a 10/10. The sauce that went with it was ok but the calamari was nicely fried. I would order the calamari again. I would give this place a 6/10. I personally would not come back but I there were so many other items we didn't try. If you are from CA and are used to the laarb and pho from there, manage your expectations.

JONEL!!! best service EVERRRR 10/10 very attentive and gave the best recommendations on food and drinks would definitely come back just because of his service. Alongside the service, the food was also absolutely delicious, I mean 100% 10/10 & i feel like i never say this! Definitely will be coming back :)))))))))

Loved the window seating with view of the square. Reservations needed if you come much later than 1:00 for lunch. You can't go wrong with this spot. Service is friendly and attentive. Pad Thai was a hit and come to find out it's their house specialty. Probably one of the best I've ever had. The Massama curry was pretty good but not five stars like the pad thai. The larb was a decent choice but needing mint or something so I took garnish from my drink to liven it up. Tried the spicey ginger lemonade and it was great.

This place gets it. Excellent music and atmosphere, quick food delivery hot and fresh, and service was above par with Emilia tonight. If you're looking for something other than the usual paella, look no further. Other food pics never came because the food disappeared so quickly :)

Really nice decorations. The fried rice and baos are delicious. The service was good because they have a lot of staff members. The drinks are wonderful and the menu of beverages is a cute passport.

Second night in Barcelona and we spotted this cute trendy restaurant. Wanting a nice soup we decided to walk in, with no reservation, however they welcomed us so nicely. Let's just say hands down the best food I have had on this trip, and we just left London, and Paris. The service was top notch and the food left us wanting to return tonight. If you are in the area, it would be a shame not to drop in.

Definitely exceeded our expectations, although we weren't quite sure what to expect. After all, it is an Asian fusion restaurant, in Spain to stay the least. My mom who was a former restaurant owner/cook, and typically critical of most places, had no complaints. The flavors were on point across the board from the pad Thai, to the Hong Kong style soup, to the Bao's. I'm always weary of restaurants that specialize in different Asian cuisines. Boa-Bao did it right. I'd say it was even better than some Asian fusion places back home in the states. Another clue that it's a good restaurant; we tried to come the night before, and they were at capacity and no longer accepting walk ins. Therefore, I'd recommend making reservations if you're in need of some Asian food!

Decent generic Asian food in Europe. Hits the itch when you're tired of tapas, but nothing more.

I came around 5pm on a Saturday, and it only took 20 minutes to get in. The bartenders were super friendly and spoke english which was a bonus. Their menu is constantly changing, so I forget the names of the drinks we ordered, but I also ordered a regular old fashion and they nailed it. I noticed another guest being a little rude to one of the bartenders. She was complaining about her drink so they made a new one, and another one after that. Had it been me, I probably would've gave up and asked them to leave lol, but they did not. Instead the opposite, which is very telling of the type of service you'll receive at this place. Overall this was my favorite cocktail bar in Spain, would I go again? Absolutely!

"How did they make this taste like that?" But for enjoying some twists on craft cocktail making? Not so great. Despite a wall full of both rare and classic bottles, most of what's featured on the menu is...eccentric at best. I had two after discussion with the bartender, and both were okay but not what I would enjoy drinking despite having a very broad palate. Although famously ranked by "50 best", this is a lot different than other cocktail bars on that list (I've visited quite a few of them), including the others in Barcelona. Perhaps having hit the number one spot before, they didn't know where to go from there? Nice staff but also missing was bartender banter (at least in English) I've found at most top bars - the bar experience is heavily about that interaction, especially for the solo customer. A positive - drinks are actually cheaper than fancy hotel bars in this city. What they offer *would* be great as a liquid tasting menu and I would return for that. But for full sized cocktails? Meh. Hence the 3 stars. Save it for a date or a "famous bars" crawl, but not for having delicious drinks that tickle the palate while getting the job done.

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars…read more The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!!
