Ok - So! When I wanted to have some bar fun in Barcelona in the infamous Gothic Quarter. This place did not disappoint. I felt like I was right at home! Be vigilant though, using Apple maps def got us lost. Look for the large beetle/wasp/bug and its right there. Its a combination of grungy, loud music, a bar that you don't think will be impressed BUT BAM, it is fantastic. Solid selection of beer and mixed drinks. The bartenders have a Spotify Playlist. This place has quickly become our local. It's such a great bar! I've never been the biggest grunge fan, but this bar is more than just skateboards and grunge. It's a place where tourists can feel like locals. Everyone is nice, they have an awesome happy hour starting at 19:00, 1€ per beer! The decor is weird and awesome. And they give you free popcorn with your drinks. Definitely a must when visiting BCN! read more

Probably one of the best bars in Barcelona. We went late night on a Friday and it wasn't overly packed, it also wasn't flooded with tourists which was nice. Many bars in Barcelona are tiny but there was so much space to move around without being on top of people. The drinks were reasonably priced and strong, the atmosphere was cool and the music was good. No complaints! Only wish there was a bar like this in NYC. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for an alternative bar to chill out in. read more

You don't see many bars with a skateboard bowl ramp inside, but you will here at Nevermind. A very cool bar packed to the gills with tattooed young people drinking Rolling Rock beer with a skateboard in hand. I was far and away the least cool person there, but it was fun nonetheless. They have a beer vending machine in the corner that looks awesome on paper, but it seems to be a sucker bet since nobody during the night ever received a beer after dropping their money in. While a cool feature, you're better served getting your drinks at the bar like a normal person. read more

I stopped in this grunge themed skater bar for a beer. The seats are made from old skate ramps and there are decks and skate videos playing on the TV. Very cheap. It had a cool punk attitude and was full of young skater kids. The highlight for me was that they played a Less than Jake song which I haven't heard in about 15 years! Love that Spanish counter culture seems to be stuck in the early '90s. Spray paint everywhere (I love the Chewbacca mural by the bathroom and the Bettlejuice style Cobain). After seeing the reviews we decided to go to this bar. Looked kinda sketchy where it was at but since the reviews were positive we wanted to try it. The designs were cool in all (skateboards/punk style). When we arrived we started looking for drinks. The lady who was bar tending in the night was friendly or so we thought. As we waited she would give us a stare and then continue making drinks for customers who were coming in after us. We were patient but it was obvious she had no intention of making our drinks so we left. The lady seems to dislike foreigners. I came here on a weekend night with a few friends. It was tough to find using our Google Maps but after asking some locals, we were able to find the place. It should be stated the area is littered with sketchy looking people who gawk at you and try to sell you "beers." Just ignore them and keep on truckin'. So outside, it looks like a run-down, abandoned place. But you hear muffled music undulating from inside and as you open the door, you see darkness and feel your way through. After moving the giant, soundproof, heavy curtains at the entrance, you will find yourself in a dimly lit bar, a modest size. And TV screens showing old 90s music videos and skating videos too. The bartenders are quite attractive and very grunge looking (add to the ambience of the whole place). Some speak English but don't bet on it all the time. I ordered a mojito and it was decently priced. A little too much ice IMO but it's okay, I expected as much. Seating can be hard if it's packed. We initially sat on some lone stools and waited until people sitting on the ramps along the way got up to leave. It's a chill place to have a drink with friends and people watch. I would recommend coming here if you're interested in a more grunge experience in Barcelona. read more

It's a REALLY interesting and eccentric place with a cool vibe and great drink specials. This definitely is not my scene - the skater, punk, grunge vibe - however we went with some regulars who seemed to know the people there and bartenders pretty well. This could be an intimidating place to go by yourself as a newcomer or tourist in the area. I'm still unsure of the safety of the area, but that's just my overall sense of Barcelona anyway - it's often hard to tell whether a place is sketchy or not. The prices are great, the ambience is grungy/rock n roll/skateboarding, the atmosphere is upbeat. I had the pleasure having Carlos as one of my bartenders during multiple visits. Awesome dude. We came here thinking it was a cocktail bar (according to Yelp), but apparently it isn't according to the bartender. I ordered a Judas, a strong Belgian blond ale, which should be served in the right glass. I got it in a broken (!) Heineken glass. The interior is cool (or is it gnarly?), but all rather dirty. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy as well. The place is easy to walk by, it doesn't stand out.You need to be looking for it to find it. read more

I went on a Wednesday night pretty early and it was pretty empty as expected, but I had a great time. Happy hour is until 10pm so our cocktails were 2€ discounted, which was great. This is a standard small bar named after Nirvana's famous album. The best part of this place, was the old 90's grunge rock that was played on the speakers and shown on the videos. They have a standard selection of beers and mixed drinks and is best for a chill night, drinking, chatting with friends and getting nostalgic for grunge rock :) read more

Really cool 90's skater vibe in this place. I liked the fact that it was sort of hidden and hard to find because it felt like a discovery (Even though I found it on yelp). Plays some great american rock music and has an extremely cheap happy hour until 1030pm. We got there right after 1030 but the drinks were still pretty cheap.
