I'm returning to Barcelona this summer with the intention of becoming a regular! Jazz at the Jamboree was a highlight of last year's trip.

Fun fun! Cover was 5€ I wanted to try a discotec while in Barcelona and this one came up. I arrived on the earlier side and it was pretty empty, but as it got later it got crowded and there was a line outside also. The music was really good. I had a blast here in Barcelona. This place was free to get into and open super late with great music downstairs. Upstairs was techno and house music but downstairs was where it's at. The music was rap, hip-hop, trap music and top 40 hits. It felt like being in a fun NY club or lounge. It was casual attire. Nothing super fancy but we had a great time. Danced the night away and everyone was fun. Drinks were moderate priced. 10 euros for top shelf. I went on a Friday and Wednesday and had a blast both night. And it was easy to get to on the Metro in the city center. And cabs wait outside so you can get home safely when the trains aren't running. read more

I hope the owner or management reads this review. I'm a local and have lived in Barcelona for several years. I'm also a huge jazz fan. Visiting Jamboree for a show has been high on my to-do list for quite some time. Tonight, my wife and I wanted to see Scott Hamilton. So, we tried to purchase tickets online, but the site did not accept US debit cards. At the same time, when I tried to book the seats it reserved the seats I selected even though the reservation wasn't actually confirmed. Therefore, I could not simply rebook these seats using a different card. They were showing as unavailable. Instead, I immediately went to the venue (I live about 5 minutes away) to confirm the reservation. And that's where the review begins. I explained the situation to the woman working the front desk and she just blankly stared at me before stating that she couldn't help. She said all seats were booked. I walked her through the fact that this couldn't be true, the seats were free 5 minutes prior. She said there's nothing she could do and I should just book another date. Okay. I walked out front, got on my phone and went to their site. The seats were now showing as available. Went back in side and pointed this out. Oh, yes those seats are available she says, but I probably don't want them because they're not good. Interesting, you said there was no room and these are the very seats I inquired about a few minutes ago when I arrived. Long story short, this woman could care less about selling available seats to your shows. She's probably been hardened by the constant flow of tourists coming through Plaça Real. Regardless, she was so incredibly lethargic and unprofessional - definitely not the type of employee I would hire. The whole situation bummed me out, we decided to just go next door and grab a drink instead. I'll go to Jamboree at another date as there aren't many jazz venues in town. But, I do hope I never have to interact with your hostess ever again. read more

Night club review: First night in Barcelona and it began at Jamboree. We literally landed at midnight, got to our airbnb, got dressed and went clubbing. We arrived around 3am and there was still a line out the door. It went relatively quick, perhaps a 25 minute wait. At 10 Euros for cover, it well worth the price. Jamboree and I have one major thing in common: we all about that hip hop! You first enter to a different club and then find stairs to go downstairs to Jamboree. Although it can get crowded, it sure was a lot of fun. The scene of the club was pretty cool, with stone arches in the ceiling. The music was amazing. Hip hop all around. Getting a bottle was also pretty inexpensive. We split a bottle of Jack Daniels for $150 between 11 girls. For a bottle from a club, it's pretty reasonable considering I've done NYC clubbing. Overall, super fun. It was a great start to a great trip. We partied until 5:30am. I felt like I was 21 again! But then I woke up as if I aged 60 years haha. Recovery is tough these days. read more

I have experienced several different events in my life, however, I would never think it would happen in a different country. In this night club, I was thrown out of club by a racist staff for my girlfriend being belittled over a drink. When we asked the staff why we were being asked to leave, they uttered that they had to check the cameras. After realizing they were at fault, there offered us 2 free drink vouchers and to allow us back in the establishment. So my question to everyone, what did we do wrong to experience this kind of injustice? Is this proper procedure in a night club establishment? read more

This is for the "hip-hop" club. If you're into fog smoke being blown every five seconds and LOVE feeling like you're in a cheesy 18+ club in the States, this is your place. Sunday night DJ was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E, couldn't mix. Mostly trap music (admittedly not my favorite, and what I definitely wouldn't refer to as hip-hop). The dance floor was completely dead for a good couple hours. As a DJ, I have never in my life tried to request a song from another DJ as a sign of respect, but this guy needed help. Dude just pointed to a "No Request" sign which I actually honor when DJs are doing their jobs and not trying to use fog smoke to make a dance floor look busy. I just made it home from Barcelona, where we went to Jamboree twice last week. We didn't go for a jazz show, but instead for the Hip-Hop/RnB on Tuesday night and Thursday night. We met one of the promoters, named Dallas, and he was really cool. Overall, if you're looking for a hip-hop spot, this is it. I liked the Tuesday night DJ a little better than the Thursday DJ, but we danced and had fun regardless on both nights. Wasn't a huge fan of the bartenders; there was a lot of standard drinks they didn't seem to know how to make and the drinks didn't seem very strong. Jamboree is a casual underground club where you can go and have a laid back time. I've already suggested it to friends who will be visiting Barcelona in a few months. read more

Great place to dance the night away. Went there twice while in Barcelona and it seems to be the same thing every night but the crowds are a little bit different. There are two different levels with different music. At one point there were even three songs in a row that were in the same sequence as the last night we'd been there. Those of the male persuasion are quick to want to dance with you but slow to open their wallets for a drink. Normally, I don't abide by this credo, but I was back packing across Europe and every Euro counts for a night out. By the time I get back to Barcelona,I'll probably be too old for a place like this. A lot of people review Jamboree for the Dance Club....I wouldn't know I've never been. But, I have experienced some of the finest world/jazz/blues music I have ever heard. The place converts into a Disco at midnight however, prior to that they have world class musicians giving performances in the intimate underground Roman vault. The acoustics are phenomenal and the talent is superb. The tickets can be purchased the night of performance, are reasonably priced and there are no bad seats. The bar is very heavy handed on the pours so pace yourself. I never miss a performance when I'm in BCN. read more

I enjoyed some parties at Jamboree Club Barcelona. It is nice but a bit small. It's an underground club so you feel like you are in an underground tunnel with its brick walls and archways. Also I danced international and hip hop music and I met locals and tourists too. At Jamboree every night can be crazy, amazing and fun. Being in Barcelona for 6 days, we didn't want to waste a second. I was looking for something to fill the time on a Sunday night, when activities were at a low. So in my search, I stumbled upon this place. Did I really come all the way to Spain to see some American home jazz? I guess so! This show was a jazz band made up of 8 jazz players playing tribute to an American jazz musician, but it was one of the best nights there. The venue was small and intimate, no matter where you were - seated or standing in the bar area, you had a great spot! The bartender was friendly, and drinks were cheap. There was no minimum and tickets were some of the cheapest I found in my search. Definitely recommend for a night when you are at a loss for what to do! read more

Place stays open until 6am.. Great start. Unfortunately, it is not a place to enter after 300am as the bouncers "say" they require you to be on the guest list (reservacion) which is very American. I live I California so I know ( and detest) when places require you to get on a guest list to PAY to enter, it is quite rediculous. I just though travellers should know this nformatuon. My friend and I had a great time at Jamboree! It's right off of Las Ramblas street so it's a nicely populated, safe area to walk around in late at night. The music here was great and definitely made the experience! It's the kind of music that's good enough to dance to even if you're sober (which eventually happened to me since I didn't want to buy drinks at the bar). The place itself was pretty packed especially when it started hitting its peak hours (after 3AM). That can make it hard to move from one area to another but I didn't really mind because it's better than being empty. Because the atmosphere and music was so great, everybody was really friendly and it was easy to dance with random people or stay in your own group if you want. According to other reviews, there is an upstairs but I was unaware of that and my friend and I stayed downstairs. The cover fee is either 5 or 10 euros (I can't remember but it was a Saturday night so probably 10) which is a good price for the positive experience I had! read more

Then at night it turns into one of the better (if only actual) Hip-Hop and rap club, open every day of the week, old skool and all of that. the nights are hit or miss, always tourist but sometimes its a nice mix of crowd and other times its just weird lol. drinks arent expensive, its a small place so you get an intimate vibe that I like. read more

C.O.O.L. club just a few steps away from Las Ramblas. We ended up here on a Monday night one would expect to be not the most exciting night of the week and it was amazing. Apparently they've got open jam sessions every Monday, and the music was truly brilliant: half jazz, half hip hop, half electronic, all live and improvised. Definitely check this out if you are in Barcelona and love music, you could end up listening to some of the best music in your life. read more

It's pretty decent - I enjoyed the pop and indie music upstairs but I wasn't too keen on how hip-hop heavy the bottom was. I was kind of annoyed because I had a free pass but was told it was five euro, not free, even though free was clearly written. Something that put a (literal) dampener on my time there was some flooding that happened in the bathroom - my shoes were soaked and I accidentally dropped my cardigan in it, so had to carry around a soaking wet cardigan all night. I'd probably go back there if it was convenient and I had the time to kill. It wasn't great but like I said, I enjoyed the upstairs part, and I could see myself dancing the night away up there after a few drinks! read more

My friend and I ended up here one night after joining an impromptu bar crawl with some new friends of ours. This place is perfect for dancing- Upstairs plays top 40 American/ International music where downstairs in this cool cave like area, they play Hip hop and rap. Best of both worlds for me. We ended up here everynight late night dancing off whatever hangover we had from the night before. I never experienced any Jazz music- not sure if there was a seperate room for that or only on other nights that we weren't there. The crowd was great Sunday night, the first time we went..it seems that each night until Tues, our last night in town- the crowd got smaller and smaller. Probably best Thur- Sun to go. We came here with Hostel One (free entry!) and had an amazing time! I was so glad to have found a hip hop night (they're rare in Dublin) and had fun even though there were no real old school tracks, more like top 40s. The upstairs floor was playing pop tracks, but there was hardly anyone up there. Of course they were open late- it's Spain- although the crowd thinned out a little around 4:30. Great location in Reial, very central to Rambla. Spacious dancefloor and water was cheaper than in other clubs we'd been in. Will return when back in Barça! read more

Came to this club while on vacation. Monday was hip hop night so it was a crowd between 21-35. There was a good mix of men and women, the drinks were reasonably priced and admission for women was free. They stayed open late,I believe we left around 430AM, and they were still open. They have 2 floors, the dj was GREAT...playing new/trendy music that I dance to in the states. Would def come back. There is a supermercado nearby to grab a quick snack to munch on when u leave. I would give this "club" zero stars if I could. My sister and I are from San Diego California and have never in my life had trouble getting in anywhere. So we dressed up planning to go here monday night, walked all the way there. There was no line, the place looked dead from the outside and the dirty ass jumper looked at us one second and told us to come back two hours later. So I won't be back, ever. We attended Catalonian jazz on 16 December here and it was absolutely awful. It sounded like 3 people who'd never played instruments before racing to finish 3 different songs. So admittedly I did not go for the Jazz. Apparently they have Jazz earlier in the night around 8pm. Later in the evening they have Hip Hop themed nights. I came on a Sunday and a Monday. Yea yea...don't judge me lol. Drinks are reasonably priced. And I implored one of my favorite tactics used throughout my travel in Europe...turn to shots after that 1st drink. Keeps you feeling nice and keeps your spending to a minimum. So, this place gets packed by 1am or so. Keep in mind most clubs in Barcelona don't even open til 12am. But the best thing about this place is the music. Searched long and hard for a place that played good Hip Hop and somehow missed this place for the first couple days of my trip. Luckily caught it for the last 2. I would definitely recommend stopping through here on a Monday. Oh btw, there is a guestlist to get you in free but since it was a holiday in Catatonia still had to pay 10 euro to make my way in. read more

Checked this place out on a Monday night ("Hip Hop" night) - it was a good time! There are 2 floors - the hip hop music was playing on the lower level. Fun music, people dancing and having a good time (didn't see too many wallflowers), drinks were flowing and weren't too expensive. Cover was 5 Euros (not too bad, right?) and I danced until my feet were hurting and I had to hobble home! I give it 4 stars because the music on the upper level was kind of a turn off (thank god we discovered the lower level or we definitely would have left). It's been over a month and I still think about how much fun me and my girlfriend had at Jamboree. The night started off great being that Jaume station was walking distance to Jamboree and only 2 stops from our hotel. We decided to arrive early on a Friday night to avoid the long lines by getting there around 12:30 am. The cover was 10 euros to get in w/ a drink included. The drink included was decent and the bartender was very helpful. The drinks weren't expensive as we ended up drinking cranberry with vodka all night. Almost an hour went by and the scene shifted gears as the club started to get packed. The music was on point as the DJ played hip hop for most of the night. I still remember the DJ playing Magnolia by Playboi Carti LOL. We ended up partying the whole morning and didn't leave until 4:30. The energy, people, and DJ were absolutely amazing and I will definitely be coming back to Jamboree the next time I'm in Barcelona. read more
