We were on a Speakeasy hunt for Monk Bar and based on Yelp address we were there but it looks like it's another restaurant, was this Speakeasy really that hidden? As we could not find the Bar for the life of us. Lo and behold we found the other Speakeasy spot on our lists instead, Bobby's Free, as it was meant to be!!! Elite Tip - Al Capone Barbershop front, waited for a few minutes to get in and what a nostalgic bar w/ great retro music vibe, cool craft cocktail drinks & of course a friendly service. Such a cute place! Line was a bit long as we waited to get in as it's not that big on the inside but love the entrance and the drinks were delicious. Typically, when you have pretty and elaborate drinks, they do not taste very good but that was not the case here at all. We ordered a couple rounds and they were all good. Been wanting to try this place but we are never in Barcelona late enough! We were on Saturday. Arrived around 7:15 PM, there was no wait. They treat it like a speakeasy with a code to enter. It's give the code or get a haircut. Lol We asked for the haircut since we didn't have the code but we were helped along to get it...Bloody Mary. We were seated immediately at a comfortable high top table, th bar would have been my next preference. We ordered a couple of drinks. I got the Miami and it tasted like a pina colada. A fun Hollywood themed speakeasy bar. You have to know the password to get in. Inside the decor is nice and fits the theme. The drinks were also themed and reasonably sized. The service was great, the mixologists recommended good drinks based off our alcohol preferences. This was a great first experience during our first night in Barcelona. read more

We started with Bobby's Free, which is a speakeasy in a "barber shop", and it set the bar really high for the rest of the evening! Once we entered, we were glad to be seated at the bar because we got to watch the amazing bartenders mix drinks and put on a show! We tried 6 different cocktails, and they were all amazing! It was the first place we went to when we got to Spain and what an irony that its American inspired lol .It was pretty late and this was one of the only places open and my husband is a sucker for speakeasies , so this was a very natural choice . The exterior is a barber shop but then you walk into a very bustling bar replete with foot tapping music and a lot of theatrics with the drinks . We asked to be seated at the bar , which they begrudgingly obliged . The drinks are alright but way overpriced . If you are coming from US they would still seem reasonable but after having spent some time in the city and going to multiple bars , I am very sure they are over priced for the area . A lot of it is pure gimmicks and not much substance and would be fun for someone who likes the old school American saloon vibe. I honestly found the cocktails and the food pretty average .It was more about the glassware and the light and smoke rather than the drinks . Service was alright . If I had to do it again , I would probably walk a little more and go to a local bar with more to offer than theatrics . read more

My friends and I stumbled upon Bobby's on accident on a Saturday night and it couldn't have been a better choice. Bobby's is a once in a lifetime experience. This kind of speakeasy is such a rarity and it is NOT to be missed. There is so much care and thought put into every aspect, from the initial entrance (better find the weekly password) to the ambiance, to the staff, to the food and drink. I'm going to speak to this review in two parts: The first is as an event planner. I partnered with Bobby's for a small personal event. Eric and Dany were super communicative and an absolute JOY to work with. Pricing wise, it was exactly what I was expecting and they totally delivered. If you're looking for a place to run an event, this is a great bet. As a patron, it might be even better! The drinks are incredible, the bartenders really know their stuff. Also, no joke, the olives were literally the best olives I've ever eaten. Pro tip: order the "smoke screen" and make sure your phone camera is ready. read more

The cocktails are fantastic and beautifully presented - Bobby's Kiss, with the glass covered in cocoa dust, is a great dessert cocktail, served with a chocolate macaron. Keen for an after dinner cocktail I pulled out the trusty Yelp app at dinner and found Bobby. Bobby's could be a bar anywhere in the world - with MTV barring and a couple of businesses men getting drunk down one end of the quiet bar. What makes this bar standout are the super lovely bar staff. We hung around for a few goldfish bowls of G+Ts (Their gin list is substantial), we were even rewarded for our patronage by the bartender with some flaming shots that we knocked back with the businessmen. So glad my fiancé and I found this place! After dinner one of the local bartenders told us to check out this speakeasy. Really beautiful inside, cool bartenders and mixologists making every and any cocktail you want. I let the bartender make whatever he thought we would like and it was amazing. Every drink was great, people were friendly, music was awesome. Shout out to Thomas who took care of us all night! Will definitely be back next time we visit Barcelona. Over the top! A must see and experience! Secret password on instagram. Walking in to a barbershop and behind a hidden door we were escorted to the bar. Walked in to a young lady singing to some jazz. The doorman is great. He is very entertaining and makes the experience worth the visit. Inside takes a long time to get a drink. You have to order at the bar then the drinks get delivered to you.
