Absolutely beautiful bar with delicious perfumery acting as not only decoration, but serving an actual purpose. This was definitely an experience! From the menu looking like an old perfumery catalog, to our wonderful server explaining the concept behind the social bar, you can really build an experience here and the only thing I noticed was missing was clientele which is insane tbh. I decided to leave a review because the drinks are absolutely delicious, and you can choose what edible fragrance note you would like in your drink but I won't spoil too much, come check it out for yourself !!!
Amazing bar one of my favs in Barcelona. I loved their menu which had the flavor universe and how the cocktails adhere to different flavor profiles. There is something for everyone in this cocktail bar. We tried 4-6 drinks and not a single one disappointed us. Service was great, ambience is perfect, we went on a weekday else I can see this place fill up and have a huge wait time. Highly recommend this spot to get a taste of one of the top 50 world's best bars.
Talk about an adventure, you have to follow the map to determine your cocktail. As on of the world's 50 Top bars, I'm definitely going to follow the instructions...LOL This is definitely a poppin spot. I had to queue for spot and the wait to get in continued to grow as the night progressed. Very cute ambiance, with three small but well used spaces. My server was very polite and walked me through the menu. I started with the Crack the Beet. Very interesting, more earthy than I'm used to, but strangely I felt healthy while destroying my liver. Next I moved on to the Caribbean Love, more my vibe. And the white chocolate accompaniment hit the spot. Cheers!
This spot on the World's 50 Best Bars list really does live up to the hype!!! The menu is creative in a way that feels a little mad scientists experiment and honestly, it works! I ordered the Sharing Angel and was shocked by how good it was. The finish actually tastes like foie gras, which sounds wild, but it's incredible. Their twist on an old fashioned is seriously MIND BLOWING! Then I tried the Coffee Break. It has the vibe of an espresso martini without the espresso/caffeine, and it was so smooth and easy to drink. Everything was impressive, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for cocktails of this level. Definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend!
Rated as one of the best cocktail bars in the world, and for good reason. It's small and there's usually a wait, but in my experience, they turned tables quickly and the wait wasn't too bad. Interior is funky, with a bunch of weird jars holding various animal parts -- odd, but just part of the whole science-y vibe of the place. The most fun way to order is to look at their "cosmos" and find the intersection of flavor profiles you like, and then be surprised. But there's also regular menu descriptions if that's more your comfort level. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favorite was a tomato-based drink, which was super creative and surprising (wish I could remember the name, but again, we used the cosmos to order!). Overall, a unique experience and great cocktails. A must-visit in Barcelona.
Fiancée and I stopped in for a drink after visiting the Picasso Museum. We had no idea what we were walking into, we had just came in based on a recommendation we saw online. This is one of the most interesting, creative and one of a kind cocktail bars we've ever been to. Almost everything is made in house and the cocktails are based off of a few flavors and you choose yours based off of whatever flavor profiles you like best or that you're feeling at the time. The establishment itself was beautiful and the service was amazing. The wait staff went out of their way to give us recommendations for other places in the area as we were visiting for the first time. If you like cocktails or even just want a unique experience, you've got to stop in!
Came here on a recommendation; also it's one of the top 50 bars. Definitely did not disappoint. The drink map makes it very easy for you to pick out something that suits your pallet. We were very excited to try different drinks that featured very unique ingredients combined in tactful ways. 80% of the ingredients are made in house. Everything that I tried (and that I took a sip from) was amazing. The Cheese Knees was a very unique flavor, very heavy on the goat cheese, but since I love anything cheese related, this was a great start to the night. The Nikkei was also delicious. The aroma of the sprouts complements the savoriness of the drink. The pickled vegetables were OK, but the hit was the kimchi. Definitely different from your classic Korean kimchi, but interesting Asian flavors. All in all a great experience, and I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area.

Also don't skip the pickled veggies and kimchee (order both). Best to go in a group and try many different drinks as they have so many things to offer. Ambiance is awesome. Check out their website ahead of time and play around with their interactive flavor profile map. Dimly lit. There's a downstairs and upstairs and even a room you can reserve in back for large parties. The service was excellent. Don't miss this place!
Another unique bar hidden along the alleys of the Gothic Quarter. We came on a weeknight and waited about 15 minutes with about 4 parties ahead of us, but it went by quickly. The walls are decorated with bottles and portions to feel like you're in a laboratory. All of their cocktails are homemade, so that's pretty cool. When you're presented the menu, there's a flavor Venn diagram to help you choose your drink with the various flavor profiles. But there's also a full description in the menu booklet to help you understand the ingredients in the cocktails too. I ordered the Cheese Knees (€13) while the boyfriend had the Coffee Break (€13). If you're not able to get a reservation at Sips or Paradiso, Dr. Stravinsky is a more affordable option that is also just as unique listed as a top 50 bar as well. They did warn that the cheese knees was very strong on the goat cheese, so pass if it's not your thing as they're not kidding. Unfortunately, we didn't have the energy to try more cocktails, but such a fun ambiance for innovative cocktails.
Really enjoyed this bar and we can see why it's been named in the top 50 bars. The bartender was really engaging with the people which we enjoyed. The drinks were 8/10 The ambiance was generic but we had a good time. Definitely recommend trying it. read more

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars. The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!! read more
One of the "50 Best Bars" in the world and there are 2 in Barcelona in the same neighborhood in El Born. Another recommendation by our Tapas Tour guide, a Speakeasy which was a made up by a made up Alchemist as was told, who knew? Quaint, unique & crafty bar space which we wish we sat by the main bar to view the bartenders creative work. 12 of their herbs are made in house and service was great, cute waitress and the craft cocktail I ordered was quite devine and they definitely got my vote. It is one of my favorite cocktail in Barcelona so far, it's unforgettable and we would've loved to have another drink but we might not make it back to our hotel. We had to wait less than 10minutes for a table of 6. We sat downstairs, and ordered a few cocktails. They were generally good, the dry ones were a bit strong, the fruity ones were very good. I tried ordering something healthier but they refused to serve me a vodka soda, as they only want to make their own cocktails, which I found odd. read more

Dr. Stravinsky's cocktail menu takes you on a journey through the flavour cosmos, where you navigate through their interactive menu to find the cocktail with the exact flavour profiles that you're looking for. You won't find wine or beer on the menu here as everything being served at Dr. Stravinsky's is made in house. This cocktail bar is every bit of a mad scientist's lab, using old school preparation techniques like fermentation, low temp vacuum cooking, milk and fat washes and more. The results of which are one-of-a-kind cocktails like the Gregale and familiar drinks with added complexity. The bartenders are hyper focused and talented, and their skills and finesse are a show in itself. Here's everything we tried: Sir Sazerac (€13), Fatty Paloma (€12), Turtle Island (€12) Tiki Nativo (€14), Gregale (€12), Golden Keffir (€12) New Fashion (€11), Farm in Quindio (€10) Only complaint is when we were seated upstairs, someone must have spilled a drink because it was really wet and slippery. read more

Amazing cocktail bar in the heart of El Born. The menu is thoughtful and well constructed, with a range of flavors to suit many different preferences. Helpfully they provided a flavor map to narrow down the options. I personally like stronger, spicier cocktails with less sugar, so their spin on the Negroni was perfect. Staff is very professional and knowledgeable about cocktails. There are a fair number of tourists here and English is widely spoken. We arrived soon after opening so it was not crowded, but I can imagine it gets a lot more popular after dinner. read more

We got there right at opening time and they ended up opening late. Drinks- highly delicious. Service- meh. While bartenders were very skilled, we sat a good five minutes at the bar before our existence was acknowledged. Ambience good. The lowly lit bar offered a reality from the summer heat and the drink was amazing. Watch your head if you need to use the loo- its low and tight. read more

Cool concept- with the specialty cocktail menu, subpar service. Don't recommend sitting anywhere but the bar. We were sat in a room off to the side of the bar that was muggy, likely why we don't have the best service. After our first drink, no one came back to take our order for the second, so we left. read more

What a neat concept this bar has. They have a roadmap with several flavor profiles. You choose the flavors you like and follow the paths to which they intersect and, voila, your drink is there at the intersection. Had the Fatty Paloma one night and La Cabra Seca another night. The workers were very helpful and explained everything clearly. Don't sleep on the house made chips doused in their homemade malt vinegar. read more

This was a great mixology place recommended to us on a city tour. Apparently it is supposed to be on of the top 50 cocktail bars in... Europe? Spain? I can't remember, but it was extremely good. The inside is dark and intimate with fun decor such as a chemistry set on the wall. We asked the bartender where the name came from. It comes from a composer (Igor Stravinsky) who utilized unique strategies to create music and they used doctor rather than Mr. because mixing cocktails is a science. How cool is that! The drinks are amazing. My favorite was their version of a whiskey sour. Everything was so well balanced. I absolutely loved it here. Must go if you are in Barcelona. read more

I honestly found this bar by accident. I was walking back to my hotel and was trying to find my way out of the Gothic Quarter when I notice this place. So I decided to stop in for one more drink. The place was very cool. It was dark and kind of ominous with all the jars on the wall. The bartender was very attentive and he tried to explain the menu the best he could, in English and I greatly appreciated his help. He was also very charismatic with his flares as he composed the drink, putting on a show. I can't recall the name of the drink, but it was very unique because the drink was garnished with dried broccoli. I thought to myself, how odd and different. The drink was strong and it had intense flavor notes. I enjoyed the creativity this bar has. The menu, itself, is very different from any other menu I have seen. This place was definitely worth stopping in. I recommend this place to anyone who is up for some innovative drinks because this place got them! read more

Before we booked our trip to Barcelona, I saw Dr. Stravinsky on a website where it mentioned top 100 bars in the world. I saw the pictures and immediately put it in my itinerary! Dr. Stravinsky is in the el born area of Barcelona - and that was about a 7 minute drive from our hotel, or a 25 minute walk. My family and I took a cab from Camp Nou after the game, to go have a drink at Dr. Stravinksy and Dux (a bar near by). We get there around 10:45pm and the neighborhood is virtually empty. In order to get to Dr. Stravinsky, you need to walk in these narrow alleys, which my sister and I were fine with but my parents were terrified because there was no one else walking around. After 10 minutes, we left because the navigation wasn't helping, and neither were my parents! Two days later, on Saturday, we decided we needed to go to these two bars which were one minute away from each other. Cabs were on strike so we had to manage to find our way via train - and let me tell you, if you're by Passeig de Gracia, that train will save your life. The train drops you off right by those alleys and now it's Saturday and it's lively and not creepy at all! Going into the actual bar was a bit tight because they put the sign directly in front of the door. Once you're in, you're greeted with a beautiful red and green bar. They have two areas where they seat customers - upstairs and on the same floor you enter. Everyone was classy, and enjoying their time at Dr. Stravinksy, as well as the drinks! We were given a menu and the first page is like a diagram which could help you pick the perfect drink for yourself, based on what you like. I ordered the Alma (Vodka drink with elderflower, lychee + egg whites), my dad ordered an Old Fashioned, and my sister got the Lion's Lamb (A special tequila drink in a Jamaican pepper cup). My dad liked the Old Fashioned, but regretted not getting a cooler, handcrafted, unique cocktail. Alma was a great drink and gave you the perfect buzz! My sister's Lion's Lamb was strong and very spicy, but she loved it. The drinks were ~10euros each, so you're getting great cocktails for a decent price! If you're sitting upstairs, service will get slow so just keep an eye out! Also, if you're looking for some food after (since they don't offer food here), La Fabrica is a super reasonable and yummy empanada place that's a 2 minute walk from there, and next door to it, they have doner!
