    Buffet plate (pick 3 items)

Chen Ji is a REALLY affordable, delicious, authentic Chinese restaurant. a bit surprising to get such authentic food. it was so good that i had to come back and eat their lunch "buffet" (5.5 euros). you should try their hand pulled beef noodle soup for 4 euros, can't be beat. anyways, this place is better and cheaper than many restaurants IN china so come here and enjoy.

Got the Wan Tun soup ($3.00), Fried rice vermicelli with beef ($5.00) and the Pekin Duck ($13.80). Place is very casual and not many space due to crowdness. All the dishes were amazing and what really impressed me was the price! Super cheep eats here. They also close at 12am which is awesome and staffs were really nice, although waiters don't come check on you like most restaurants. You really have to catch them whenever you see them.

Thank god for the existence of this restaurant. I was travelling in Europe with my brother and severly underestimated the amount of money and finding this restaurant was a blessing. We were able to have the largest meal ever, while paying the least of all our trip. We got the buns, which were like 10 for 3 euros, then plate of fried rice with 2 dishes (one of sweet and sour pork, one of "peking" flavored pork). All that costed us less than 20 euros. The food itself was good and tasty (for the value). Def not the best chinese food I had in my life, but definitely one of the best value! Great break from expensive and unfilling tapas, and unsatisfactory paellas.

GuoTie #39 on the Menu. Pan Fried Dumplings. Awesome

First of all: why 5 stars? 1. what they do good they do it pretty good 2. it's one of my favorite dishes of all so I am leaned to like them 3. They do it all for an unbeatable fare. But keep in mind that their menu is very extensive and I can't account for the whole of it. Given reviews from other Yelpers I would encourage you to stick to suggestions. Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. No fuzz, the place looks like a food hall. But if you are there for the food and not for the looks you will have a feast. Even better? Prices are amazing, for sure the one with the best quality-price ratio in Barcelona. Make sure you order the Pan-Fried Dumplings (#39 on the Menu - GuoTie), they are among the best I have had. Tell them to bring you the Black Rice Vinegar and Chili Paste (if you enjoy spicy) to mix and use as a sauce with those rather than the soy sauce. Believe me, you will thank me. Important Note: Try the above mentioned over their #40 - Xiao Long Bao, because they are not real Xiao Long Bao (Shanghai Juicy Dumplings filled with broth) but rather more like a Baozi (Bread-like buns filled with pork). If you enjoy noodle soup, do not miss their hearty Noodle Soup with minced beef (#31 I think), I prefer this one over the one with "ternera" or meat. Chicken with cashews, fried rice, and Chinese mustard greens are also great.

Epic surprise! Amazing fresh and tasty food for under 5 euros! Mostly anyways! Amazing!!!!! Came here on my morning walks. Saw the place and I just had to try it. They have buffet and ala carte. They take your order and put it down the chute? It was fun watching the little tiny elevator like thing came back up with food. Like a lot of food. I was very sick from all the cold weather, soup was a much needed. And this place had it. A very tasty amazing hand pulled noodles. Beef hand pulled noodles~ superb! Everything is superb from the noodles to the chunky beefs. Fried dumplings~ I wasn't expecting the dumplings to be fried. But they were quite tasty! Fried rice~ a mountain or two of them for one order. No joke!! And every single table in the restaurant orders it. It is pretty wok~y, smoky and good. Kind of had that perfect charred, burnt little fluffy eggs, steamy mountain thing going on. Now you know that's going to be good! I've also had this beef dish. It was beef and onions? I liked it. Best part about this place is definitely the prices. They can't be beat in Barcelona!! I thought I was going to get only half portions for such low prices. But nope!! The service is prompt. Not much English but you are in Barcelona!! The only thing was my tea! I wanted some traditional pot of hot tea. What I got was a mug of hot water with a tea bag. It wasn't cheap!! But that was also part of lost in translation I feel! Overall, so much good food for less than 20 euros!!! And It's only a 15 mins walk from las ramblas! Try it out!

The hand-drawn ramen is a great dish! I was pleasantly surprised by this Chinese restaurant. I stumbled upon this place when I was extremely craving Chinese food. I wasn't expecting too much from it because after all I'm in Barcelona. Can't say much about other dishes, but the hand-drawn noodles proved to be more than authentic! With the beef broth, minced meat, and some veggies, the noodle soup was priced at 3.50 euros! It might be too small of a portion for people with good appetite though. Avoid the Xiao Long Bao if you're looking for the real thing. It's more like a pan-fried bun instead.

So after 2 weeks in Barcelona, I was craving some Chinese food. This place had good reviews so came here after visiting Sagranda Familia. I noticed most of the customers were non-Asian and eating the typical fried rice and noodles. Those dishes looked pretty good and seem like everyone had an order of fried dumplings which I also ordered. I also got 2 of my favorite dishes, homestyle tofu and smoke pork on tea leaves. The fried dumpling were quite good. I would come here just for those. The other two dishes were decent. If I was in New York, I wouldn't come back here for those dishes. But if you coming for just dumplings, fried rice, noodles, stir fry veggies, this place will do. Interesting note, It seems this area had a lot of Chinese own businesses, guess it's sort of a Chinatown.

Not the best hand made beef noodle soup I've ever had but I've also spent quite a bit of time in China. The beef noodle soup is cheap (four euros) and pretty delicious. Four stars for the price and for existing in Barcelona.

Staff: not friendly staff. did not want to interact with me while waiting for carryout or ask anything other than "what do you want" Ambiance: not decorative or inviting... takeout is the move Location: easy to get to in central area of Barca What to try: avoid the beef soup, did not like the beef or the soup :( Food: get the cashew chicken (~6€) with white rice (1€) Price: very cost effective. good for takeout on a budget!

We went to have freshly made noodles it was a great experience. The food is very good . I recommend this place when visiting Barcelona.

We were a group of 6 and got their combo menu for 5-6 people. It was the right amount of food for us. It also included drinks, soup base and sauce bar. There was a great variety, and the ingredients were fresh. They do not have AYCE option here. There is a sauce bar and the side dishes (kimchi and cucumber salad) plus fruit (cherries) are unlimited. The service was really good. The table for our group of 6 was a bit tight but they have semi-private spaces for larger group. The restrooms were individual stalls and fairly clean. We came on a Tuesday evening and the place was busy. We made a reservation online a few hours in advance.

Not sure if this place has any relation to the Liuyishou Hotpot chain but looks like it's pretty legit. They have a membership plan that you can sign up for & gives discounts off your meal price. We didn't inquire more about the membership since we aren't locals & don't know when the next time we'll be back haha. Broth is ~€14, regardless of whether you decide to get one singular broth, two split broths, or if you were to get 4 different broths. It is about €4-5 if you opt for the individual hotpots. Ordering is done via QR code assigned to each table, & can order drinks from CoCo Bubble Tea from QR Code, as well. We ordered two drinks from Coco & they brought the drinks over to us from down the st. We ordered the angus beef, sirloin, lamb, quail eggs, enoki mushroom, veggie set, fish, roe bag fish balls, and more. For broths, we did four: pork bone, chicken, golden, & tomato. My favorite was the chicken broth! They also have a sauce bar for €1.80/pp. Our meal total was supposed to be ~€150, but they applied a discount in which the final total was €116! We ended up ordering an extra two plates of meat & we were able to take it to go. We cooked the rest of it there & it is €0.20 per container. Overall, not too shabby meal! It ended up being a lot better than I expected. I would come back again ;) Staff was very kind and helpful.

Most of the menu already is or can be adapted to be gluten-free. All ordering is via a QR code at your table, and you must connect to their WiFi in order for it to work (Mobile Data not allowed!), the online ordering was easy and had an allergen/notes option, it also automatically recorded my table number so there was no scrambling trying to find that. It also had an English language option. I ordered the King Pao Chicken with some meatballs and rice, the portion sizes were large, and I would say that this is the ideal place to come as a group, and order multiple dishes to try. The food came out very quickly after ordering. I was also given a soy sauce for my table but was not advised if this was gluten-free or not. The chicken was really good and tasty, with good quality meat and veggies. It was advised as spicy, but I didn't get any spice at all. I still enjoyed it though but would have liked it to have more of a kick. The beef meatballs were really good, and the sauce was nice, they were big and tasty, although I wasn't a huge fan of the mushrooms. They were also piping hot. The rice was poor, it was stuck together and didn't taste good at all. For my drink, I had their fresh lemon iced tea, this was fairly nice and I ended up ordering another. The interior looked good, but the chairs weren't particularly comfortable. Chopsticks were provided by default but the staff were happy to provide me with a knife and fork on request. 4* - Many positives for sure, being able to get gluten-free Chinese food alone is rare, let alone when it's pretty good too!
