We wanted to give this place a try despite having only a few reviews (from 3 and 4 years ago?) (Why haven't there been any more recent reviews??) We got there around 830pm, and it was empty, not a good 1st sign... As we were seated we asked if they spoke Mandarin since members of our party could speak that and Cantonese as well...but they said "no", and apparently no English either...they were definitely Asian, but not any type of Chinese as far as we could tell...anyways we were able to place our order by pointing out menu items and kept our hopes up. The food started arriving and to our surprise it was actually pretty decent. Not San Francisco Chinatown good, but passable. One interesting thing we found was that the same filling was used on 3 different dishes, we could definitely tell it was the same contents in different wrappers...maybe an efficient way to operate but the result is an pretty bland experience. Hence the "maybe" recommendation. We ordered 2 different clay pot rice dishes and both had the exact same sauce also (maybe also the same sauce on the tofu dish). While we were dining another table was filled so we were not alone. But still quite slow for a Monday night. We noticed other restaurants on the same street were filling up. The decor was nice and the AC was at a good temperature. The service was quick. read more
