Hands down for the best Asian/chinese/taiwanese restaurant in Barcelona!
This place is amazing and food to die for! The atmosphere is cozy with Chinese antique kistch decor, service is very attentive and food really yummy. I am Asian and I have travelled around the world eating yummy food, so I really know what we are talking about. This place offers a traditional-"homemade mum cuisine". You will not find anything fancy but all ingredients are fresh with a high quality.
We asked the owner to recommend us, and he offered us the best Asian meal we had in long time (so, ask always since they have special dishes out of la carte)
We had :
- Pork loin (Delicias de lomo) and it was to die for! crispy, sweet with a touch of garlic. perfect to share with more people.
- Home signature fried rice (arroz Son-Hao), with sesame at the top and rice perfectly cooked mixed with soy sauce, shrimp, ham and egg
- Pork belly stew (estofado de cerdo). This was really amazing, you can notice that it was really cooked for hours. The meat was very soft and tender, perfect to mix with any plain rice or the fried rice.
- Chinese veggies. Not too greasy nor salty. Normally most of the places present this dish either steamed/boiled with oyster sauce at the top or very greasy.
- Soup of the day, which was a light broth with chinese turnip.
We had a wonderful meal and will definitely come back when we are in Barcelona visiting.
For those who complain about the portion and the price, I would say that prices and portion are good for value BEING A RESTAURANT IN SPAIN. Please do not compare with anything you can find in NYC Chinatown for instance. I live in NYC and here portions are huge (but prices are also double) so this is not a good comparison.
Oh! service is super attentive and friendly, the owner is very nice and will do his best to undersand you and give the best service he can! read more
