    Chicken Country Fried Steak*

Amazing experience! the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They quickly seated us despite being a party of 10 on a Holiday weekend. Both Servers were incredibly friendly and attentive when it came to refilling coffees around the table. Food was phenomenal, I don't think anybody had any complaints about anything that was ordered and everything looked amazing. Portion sizes are huge. I had the chicken fried steak, which I highly recommend. Eggs were scrambled perfectly, being light and fluffy. The fry was nice and crisp despite being covered in gravy. And I recommend substituting the toast with their biscuits which are also huge.

    Biscuit with spreadable butter!

We were in Bend for less than 24 hrs and were looking for a breakfast spot before heading out of town. The reviews of Palmer's brought us here. I am glad that happened. I had the Sparks Lake Omelette. The corned beef was flavorful and tender. Corned beef is risky in that it could be chewy. Not here. The potatoes looked dry and plain. Wrong. They were silly flavorful. Their biscuits are huge and tasty. And an important detail, the butter for the biscuit wasn't frozen solid. It was spreadable! This may seem like a small thing to cite, but I can't stand it when I am served rock solid butter in the metal wrapper. The serving staff were friendly and attentive. Some of the cons. The parking lot is small and it shares parking with their small hotel. So, try to arrive in one vehicle or walk here. The restaurant has limited seating too. Also, the presumed owner kept on coming over to us to talk about the business and his family. It was fine before we ordered, but he interrupted our conversation and eating many times.

Food was subpar and expensive for what you get. The service was decent but nothing special. Palmers of years back was great now it's just a basic cafe with food that is just blah. I had the country fried steak and gravy eggs with potatoes. The wife had a flavorless biscuit benedict with ham and gravy. The country steak was thin and obviously from frozen. Gravy on both was a non traditional brownish creamy type stuff that wasn't flavorful at all. I did order a side of bacon (3 pcs) and wife had a hot coffee cocktail. For the $57 it cost it certainly wasn't worth it

Biscuits and gravy, two biscuit size, which is way too much food for a normal human.

A Bend institution that was recently remodeled. - Biscuits and gravy: OK but no more than that. The biscuits were a bit dry, tasteless and the gravy not much better, although you can add some seasoning to help. A two-biscuit order is a huge amount of food. You'll think you mistakenly went to Jake's instead of Palmer's. - Pancakes: Solid. If you like pancakes, you'll probably not be disappointed. - Veggie scramble: The veggie omelet but ordered scrambled. Very nice. Good service, friendly folks. A-OK.

Fresh flowers, great coffee, and chilled water.

We were greeted at the door and seated with minimal wait time on a Friday morning. Wait staff was courteous, friendly, and happy to be there. Beautiful local photography displayed throughout the restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious. We would definitely eat here whenever we're back in town. Officially noted on our short list.

    Two egg combo!!

Cozy little dinner with a local vibe. Super delicious food I got the gravy eggs Benedict and an iced tea. Wait staff was super sweet 10/10 recommend!

The hash browns are excellent but the rest is that much better!

Upon walking into this establishment I was merely whelmed by the atmosphere. However, the friendly staff and outgoing owner made Palmers Cafe feel more like grandma's kitchen than a cafeteria. Paper menus were used along with an enticing cocktail menu (at 6:30 am too!) but the napkins were cloth... The food was sublime. I had eggs Benedict which were among the best I've ever consumed, and the omelette was "the best ever". If you're reading this and have never eaten here, you MUST drop what you're doing RIGHT NOW and go eat there!

French toast, sausage links (questionable looking, tastes great)

Worst eggs Benedict I have ever had. Inedible. If you can't even make a palatable hollandais sauce there is a problem.

Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.

That's really the only factor I can point to that's remotely negative but also not complaining it's an observation. I see after being there why this works for the restaurant. You order at the counter, get a number, and then sit. Since it was our first time, we wanted to look over the menu, but we ended up just going with the specials -- and honestly, they were incredible. We had a unique and delicious Portuguese sausage biscuits‑and‑gravy dish with bacon on the side, and the other plate was an eggs benedict on an amazingly light, airy muffin with tomato, perfectly poached eggs, and a Portuguese sausage link, plus potatoes. Our plates were spotless by the end. The house iced tea was also a standout -- infused with fruit and specialty tea, but without actual fruit pieces in the cup. It tasted elevated and refreshing. I also ordered a cinnamon‑cardamom coffee, which was divine. Next time -- because there will be a next time -- we're thinking of sharing the special of the day and getting a spread of fresh pastries. Highly recommend.

It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. Over the phone ordering was a snap and the dude was super polite and helpful - not rushed. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. We will absolutely be back - every time we are near bend, I'll be stopping for pozole for sure! Well done, Jacksons Corner, well done!

Set in an old home, this establishment has become one of Bend's favorite restaurants. The menus have range with breakfast by far being my favorite. However, their pizzas are spectacular and I've never had a pastry yet that I didn't really enjoy. They serve coffee from a local roaster called Lone Pine. The staff is always extremely friendly and I have frequently positive interactions with them when I stop by. Prices are reasonable, and the food is very high-quality while also being consistently fresh. Parking can be a challenge at times, but it's always worth the effort. Not to mention a chance for a nice stroll around downtown Bend after my meal... just the perfect end to complement a perfect day here in this lovely place. Thank you Jackson's corner for being a staple in this community and consistently making every meal here a little bit more joyful.
