Surrounded by a nursery of palm trees, Palma is designed to be an oasis in the desert. Most of the seating here is outdoors on a large shaded patio area with misters. Palma is a nice relaxing place for lunch, brunch or evening dinner. The menu is Asian-inspired and has items like sushi, fried chicken, pork rolls, and salads. We came here for happy hour and ordered a variety of food items and drinks. The Shiso Mojito and Mandarin Sangria were a couple of drinks I really enjoyed. We ended up hanging around for a few hours enjoying the music and chatting with people at the bar. I really like the chill vibe here and would definitely come back. read more

We came on a Saturday and were seated promptly with a reservation. The service was attentive and friendly. Our friends were a bit delayed on arriving but we were served without problems. The drinks and food were delicious. We can't wait to go back. The area we sat in was cool and outdoors. The ambiance was like we weren't in scorching Phx read more

Palma was great overall. I booked a fire pit for 7 guests but it was only sat for 6 so I sat on a wire chair while the cushioned chairs that were reserved were never used. Other than that. The host and server were great. Our group wanted to try a bunch of different things and the server was patient and made great suggestions. Food and drinks were good. We will be back and hopefully have a space large enough for the group we book for. read more

On a Monday night, early evening. Horrible service. Apps came out after main course, many menu items were unavailable. Waiter kept saying, sorry we don't have that, no we don't have that either, etc. Ordered chips and salsa and guac and chips came out, guac later, no salsa. seven ppl in our party and the main courses came out at different times. Service took forever from start to finished. The food was... ok, but took forever to get to the table. Good vibe if you just want to drink. Will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Stopped here on our way from the airport to our hotel at about 10:30 PM cause we were starving. We were seated at a table outside right away and I loved the ambiance of the patio with the lights and warm atmosphere and the palm trees. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. Our waitress was sweet but the service was very slow at first. Once we ordered the sushi it came out quickly. I loved the presentation and the Santana was perfection, I highly recommend it. My husband ordered the yellowtail habanero and neither of us loved it. The drinks were pretty low-end (margarita and mojito). So I have mixed feelings, we enjoyed our evening, but it was not 5 star. read more

Ambiance at Palma is always fire. I don't mean that is in an actual fire, but moreso using it in the "cool" sense of the word. See, that's what Palma does to you- it makes you cooler by allowing you to chill in a shaded patio with plants and warm decor. The food is great- I would check the menu prior to going to make sure its going to have something you like but if you're not a picky eater I would recommend the food because I have always found it delicious. They have a fun drink menu too if that's your jam. I have never sat at the bar itself but always hear and see good things from my vantage point at the surrounding tables. The best place to eat at Palma is the outdoor patio but yes, its going to be warm in the Summer, but that's not Palma's fault, that's the desert's fault. Pet friendly. Gotta park around it on the street so be on the lookout for a spot as you get close. Make a reservation if you're eating around peak meal lunch/dinner times! read more

I'm in the industry. So I don't like to leave negative feedback about a restaurant if I can help it, but honestly, just save your money and stay home. They were out of 2 of the 3 things that we wanted to order and the server just seemed... young. She kept clicking the button on her "Toast" mobile pad and went "oh, looks like we're out of that too, sorry" *shoulder shrug* -- it got to the point that I asked her if she could please just go back to the kitchen and ask if anything else was 86'd to save us the trouble. Then it turned out they were not out of one of the three items, once she returned from the kitchen, it just hadn't been updated on the "Toast" tab. Why? Also, why did I need to ask you to please confirm with chef? She was training a gentleman who was very sweet and seemed more competent than her, honestly. There was a bug in our cocktail. Food was small in portion and overpriced. Fine enough ambiance (very trendy and fun with the palm trees!) but the place seems to be run by people in their mid twenties. Not a manager in sight. Our waters ran dry, there was no one to refill them. I finally hunted down our server to ask. And also gave her the cocktail with the bug in it, to ask if we could have another remade. F*cking amateur hour, dude. read more

Fried chicken and sushi!?! What!? Yes. Came with a group of 8 and sat at the fire pits. Definitely NOT a sit down dinner vibe. We were pretty cramped around one fire pit with little room to place meals and drinks. Luckily our server KILLED IT. He was so on top of picking up finished dishes and glasses as well as refilled waters. Food was delicious, rolls were full sized, prices were low (I'm comparing to LA sushi prices ), the freaking dip for the chicken..... the freaking dip! I wanted to dip everything in it. It was so good! Order the chicken just for the dipping sauce. Advice: get two pits for a larger party. Order the dipping sauce. read more

We stop here before heading to Cham Pang Lanes for a friend's birthday. There was 8 people in our party and told there was an hour wait. Although the place really wasn't busy and there were many empty tables. The hostesses could have offered to seat us at two tables since there were many open tables side by side. We decided to head to the bar since it was open seating and there were many open seats next to each other. When the bartender finally came to take our order we were told they were out of two of their drinks. I was not too impressed with this restaurant/bar. The service was not great and although the drink I was able to order was good I'm not sure I would be back. read more

Your hostess needs customer service skills today 10/8 She's rude and awful We were so lucky to have great service at our table but wow the hostess today was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The restaurant was empty and she was pain in the butt to get our table for 7. We love your food and drinks. If someone didn't know how good the food and drinks were and had to deal with her, you are losing business. Give the servers & the kitchen a high five. Thanks Give her a pep talk. The vibe here was so cool. Greenery everywhere, fun music, cool waiters. Just an exceptional fun chill vibe. For drinks we started with the king conch, which is a shareable margarita. Good, but could have used more tequila. We also got a lychee martini, which was amazing - we wanted 10 more. We also got the cheech + Chong that was super tasty and would highly recommend. We started with two rolls of such: the LA crunch and Lion King Maki. Botha amazing - probably the best sushi we've ever had. The LA was very good, but the Maki was unbeatable. You could tell it was going to be amazing just by it's presentation. We then shared the fried chicken sandwich. Sandwich was very good, super juicy chicken and amazing spicy Mayo. We asked for additional Mayo of course! The kimichi slaw was so wonderful. We do wish there was more slaw on top. Would recommend this location for a chill vibe, a date, or a girls hang. read more

I forgot to take pictures! I came here to meet up with some friends and didn't think they would have anything I could eat but they had a "green goddess" vegan sushi roll that was delicious! This restaurant/bar has a huge outdoor space and seems to be pretty popular on weekends. The only downside would be if you're wanting to reserve a table outside it might be difficult and then you're put on a time constraint because they make reservations on the same tables for every few hours (understandable). I would not recommend this as a place to bring children because it becomes 21+ and has a club-like feel with the huge bar in the center and a DJ playing music. Palma also connects to another bar/restaurant next door called Ghost Donkey. I would recommend this place for a night out with your friends. I had a good time, staff was friendly, my food was good. read more

This is a beautiful place, but I'm just not a club type of person anymore. With being a Las Vegas native, born and raised, I just got burnt out from club scene, real fast. So, I avoid clubs when possible. I've been personally victimized from the club life, I did waaayyyyy too much partying lmfao But, I really enjoyed the decor and they played great music! It was also fun to see the arcade games and bowling alley! A very cool spot. I definitely would've stayed in there during my clubbing days. The place was suuuuppppeeerrrrr packed. Lots of people around, very loud, and lively. If you like going to clubs, I think you'd really enjoy this place. I didn't order a drink, so I'm not too sure about the prices. But, it's a fun atmosphere. Since I'm more of a bar/lounge type of person, I probably won't visit again. But, I do recommend this place to fellow clubbers. read more

The ambience is relaxing and hip, nicely decorated and cute color/staging too. The food has an Asian kick to it but it's okay X drinks are pretty delicious. We ordered fried chicken, Korean bulgogi wrap for 2, and some sushi rolls... the fried chicken is not bad... the Korean bbq is too dry and the green onion wrap is hard and dry. I would come back for drinks maybe snacks - not dinner. read more

The vibes are superb! It feels like a bar at a luxury resort. The decor wraps around the entire patio and really helps you forget you're in the middle of Roosevelt Row, let alone the middle of the desert. The beverage program is fun and accessible with plenty of sweet, Asian-inspired cocktails. The shiso mojito was OK, but the Lychee Lowdown is one of the best lychee drinks I've been served. Delicious! I'm also a big fan of the Hibiscus Cucumber seltzer. Of course, there are a few beers and sakes as well. I would certainly return to cheers with my friends while glancing over at NBA games playing on the patio . And when I make it earlier, I'll be back to try the sushi! read more

Man, I sure did want to like this place! The vibe is exquisite...what an amazing patio. Not sure how the pulled it off but it's like a hidden oasis in the middle of DT. Impressive. Thank god...because that's the only thing getting this to a 3. Honestly the food is a 2 at best. I had three plates and all left a LOT to be desired. Papaya Salad was boring. How do you make freaking Papaya Salad boring! It's a ten car pile-up of bold flavors!! Not here though. Not spicy...weak umami...barely worth ordering. Garlic, chili noodles are just meh with a capital M. Sushi roll was fine. Like, sure. Maybe better than airport sushi?? Look, I hope I just caught them in a bad night, but three dishes is a decent sample. And the patio is so, SO worth it. But stick to drinks and the vibe. Eat somewhere else. read more

Palma is deserving of a 10 on a 1-5 scale! This place is amazing! The music, service, food, drinks, all of it - just fantastic! I felt like was at a beach side restaurant in Mexico. We had the Pork Lettuce wraps and the dish was superb. The pork just melted in your mouth, the sticky rice was hot and the spice, I think harrisa, was applied generously and appropriately on the kimchi. The Thai Fries and Noodle dishes were paired the same way. I appreciated the noodles which were shorter than many noodle dishes requiring you to twist the noodles like spaghetti. Here they were half the size and could be eaten with a fork easily. This place has the downtown eclectic vibe, with modern music, and a great patio to eat and relax. Our new favorite for sure! read more

It's a total vibe here, day or night! Perfect location absolutely gorgeous atmosphere. Food drinks and service are great, especially for as busy as this place can get. Wow! This place is awesome! The vibe is so cool, like a modern take on Tommy Bahama. Love the decor because I literally am in love with palm trees. I want to start with positives! This place has a great ambiance, great vibe, aesthetics is up there, very instagrammable. However, the person who checked us in came off rude. She didn't look at me, greet me, or anything that made us feel welcome. She seemed like she did not want to be there. The person who showed us to our table was friendly. They sat us all the way at the back and we were not greeted by wait staff for 10 minutes. My fiancé goes up to them and asks for service and the man who took our order also came off irritable like he didn't want to take our order. It's not our fault that we weren't checked on or even given water for 10 minutes. The waiter that took over was very friendly and checked on us often which made up for everything else. The food was meh. We had the Garlic noodles and Cabo roll. Garlic noodles was still hard and flavor was not there. Cabo roll was not bad. Pretty decent. Overall, the experience AND the food was not great. People working in hospitality or in general, should make others feel welcome. That was my personal experience. read more

Tried Palma for the first time today and I I was pleasantly surprised. 1. The Ambiance was spectacular & amazing. It feels like we could be on a resort somewhere and I loved the music. 2. Our server Micah was amazing. I will say it is very rare to have a server that isnt just worried about the tip. Micah was relatable, personable, fun and just on it! Thanks Micah 3. I ordered The lychee lowdown cocktail and it was so superb I had 2 more. I wish yelp had a way to give stars based on different categories...but here it goes. A friend and I went to check out Palma for sunday brunch. We did not have a reservation but were able to find seats at the bar. we were quickly quickly served drinks and then ordered our food. while we were chatting one of the bartenders was cleaning something in the sink and it dropped in a sink full of water and it splashed ALL OVER ME AND MY FRIEND (i'm pretty sure the dirty sink water went into our drinks as well). They did not offer to even remake our drinks so I was actually very upset. Keep in mind half an hour had passed and we still did not see food in sight. When we finally got our food it was kind of disappointing. The sesame avocado toast had jalapenos, not a jalapeno salad. The bulgolgi wrap was wrapped on raw flour basically. The decor of the restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing though. It feels like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. So if you ever wanted to come, come for the vibes, not the food or service. read more

Wow! What a great new gem in downtown Phoenix! This area keeps getting better and better. Palma is connected to 2 other bars; Ghost Donkey and Cham Pang Lanes. Make a day or night of this & visit each bar. Be sure to make a reservation! We got lucky & walked in without a reservation but the hostess had an opening & sat us right away on a couch area behind the bar. The vibes remind me of a chic retro Palm Springs vibe with chic beige chairs/couches & lots of plants. Its starting to get hot and the misters were on! Try & sit in the shade if you plan to go during the day. The bar area was pretty cool and popping (party mode). The server helped us right away with recommendations & checked on us a lot. Love good service! The food menu has some interesting twists & unique flavors. The breakfast noodles was the most interesting item though I would not get it again, it was good to share as a group. All the other items were delicious. Would def come here again and try the nighttime vibe. read more
