We recently relocated from the Southeast and finding a tanning salon was important to us. I'm glad we decided to give PBT a try. We've tanned at a few salons in SoCal, and enjoy traveling nationwide in general, which is why we love the ease of membership benefits wherever we go. Kudos to Destiny who was at the Orange location filling in today. We've visited the Riverside salon she manages and thoroughly enjoyed our experience from friendly staff to cleanliness in the salon. Destiny is a gem by having a natural ability to make people laugh and is very knowledgeable in products. Thank you, Destiny, for going above and beyond! Thanks PBT management for putting the right people in the right role - your teams in Orange, Tustin and Riverside rock!! read more

I have to give a shout out to Courtney, she is amazing, and is very knowledgeable, and was incredibly helpful. See I had a trip to Costa Rica and I was leaving the next day so I needed a instant tan, but have never spray tan before. I was a little skeptical but Courtney reassured me and walked me through everything which was much appreciated. I was very happy with the results and would highly recommend Palm Beach Tan. Thanks again, Courtney!!! read more

So I am use to a palm beach salon in a different state, Alabama to be exact, I assumed California (Orange County) salon would top Alabama. Well let's say the staff in Orange County was slow, literally 4 of us stood in the kiddy waiting for a while before anyone came out to greet us. Then the girl had no clue about the beds. She gave me room 7, well this was suppose to be a level 2! This bed is clearly a level 1, the bulbs don't get warm and you literally don't tan in the stand up bed. When I came out to ask the girl about the bed she told me they don't have a room 7 (i literally feel like her head was in space!) I told her yes I just came out and the bed did not even get warm, it was like standing with regular halogen lights on you. She then told me only 1/2 the bulbs have been replaced! Then she said it's was to make your experience more comfortable. Well I was just blown away by the response, when you pay for a service you expect results! If you want a tan, this is not the place to go! I am just so disappointed and I cannot believe a tanning salon is Alabama would literally be 1000% better then a salon in Orange County California. Literally it was extremely disappointing and it's the same exact franchise. read more

Do not recommend. Went yesterday as a first time customer and did everything right in the booth yet I'm two different shades. Also, was told on the phone first tan was free but I was charged full price and got suckered into $100 for tan accelerator. Stay away if you want a good tan. read more

Walk as long and fast as you can. With all that I am, I implore you. They will gore you, they abhor you, come through their door you - will see That Palm Beach Tan is the Fyre Festival of tanning companies: They lure you in with a promise of something wonderful - as you'll learn; They get your credit card number and start 8 buck charging it as the months turn; But they're crooks through and through - and they're LYING TO YOU! First time attempting to try this place so I called first. Taylor was speaking to me giving me prices but while speaking she kept stopping to answer others that were there. She would follow back up by asking "what was that" and when I would re-liberate what we just spoke about so I can make sure I'm understanding what she is saying she just keeps saying "yeah" once again was speaking with someone. I told her this time I will wait till she finishes. What did she end up doing hanging up the phone. When I attempted to call three times back there was no answer. Thanks to this representative I will not be trying this place. read more

I have been a diamond customer for over 10 years. A new girl was working today. She claimed she was the new owner and district manager. Her name was Allie. Oh my goodness she was so rude to me. I pay a monthly fee of $59 for unlimited spray tans. She tried to overcharge me saying her staff for the last 10 years have been doing it wrong. She said I have to pay $28 extra for each visit. Allie tried to take advantage of me because I am a older women. She embarrassed me and made me feel so uncomfortable. I would not visit the Tustin location if she is there. Shame on Palm Beach tan if this your idea of a good manager. read more

Danielle is awesome. My friend and I walked in to get some color before our photo shoot for our Company Transformation Challenge and she gave us the seasonal promo. The staff and beds are always the best and they know how to take care of their current/new members. When I walked in, if you referred a friend, you get 4x free session and so does the new member. This even applies to spray tanning which is always something I have always wanted to try. This is the go to location it seems because they have 18+ beds and have a handful of staff ready at all times. Highly recommend this place! read more

Not only has Palm Beach Tan been a nightmare, their staff is completely rude and has zero concept of customer service. I will start out by saying I have been going to this location for years for spray tans and have never had an issue until about five months ago. They convinced me to sign up for a monthly membership, which I did and spent about two hundred dollars that day on some products and my monthly subscription. After using it for a month I decided it wasn't worth it and I spoke with a woman at the counter who assured me my membership would be canceled and I would no longer be billed. Flash forward four months. Every single month they charge me a fee in excess of $100 dollars and every single month I have called to complain, get a refund, and make sure my card isn't charged again. Every single month I am reassured by the supervisor that my membership is canceled and I won't be charged again. To this day I have not received a single refund. I am a relatively patient and understanding person. But after noticing my card was charged again this month I am furious. I work as a litigation paralegal and know my rights. I know they have zero rights to be charging my card without authorization and as far as I am concerned it is theft. I have no clue what is going on with their staff but since it is a franchised company, and the supervisor in the store has no clue what they are doing, its difficult to get anything resolved. I will be reaching out to the CEO, Diane Lucas of PBT as well as the owner of the location. I will also be pursuing legal recourse if I don't receive a refund this week. Not to mention, the spray tan I got five months ago was super orange. Not worth your time or money. If you have an issue, it won't be addressed and their employees are not properly trained to be handing peoples private credit card information. read more

So annoying I had my cards stolen so I had no way to pay my bill bc they didn't give me the online card and I called twice before the first to let them know and the lady both times said she will take the charge off because I have no way to pay with no cards and I got it back a few days later even gave her my new card over the phone when it came so I would be charged j never was charged came back in and they charge me 70$ and the lady is rude Saying there's no note of it , not helpful at all a joke . Take ur money. Made me wait over 40 minutes and I just left I didn't know it takes 2 people to explain a membership to someone read more

I am very disappointed in this Arlington hts Location. The girls are nice but, I think either beds are Old or bulbs need changing.. I've been to executive tans and other places where You get a strong tan for a lot less money & there are 5 levels offered. I paid over $70 for level one for one month..and went every other day. I have hardly Any tan at all and this was a one month contract. If you upgrade one session ,it costs $11 for a member and still no Tan. Spend your money somewhere else, read more

Really poor customer service at this salon especially from the regional manager. The girls at the salon did not tell me about the special as I had been paying $100 for tanning for a month and there was a special. I had frozen my account as I was out of town but wanted to tan for just 4 days. Cost was $25 each tan and they ran my card quickly without being able to refund it. Instead I chose to unfreeze my account and pay $60 on the new promo. In speaking with the girls in the salon I found out the bulbs are old and I wasted my time getting color while I was home. Asked to speak with the regional manager and got absolutely NO customer service but $25 in tan dollars. Really unhelpful and fell this company has gone down hill. In reading other reviews I can see the company has changed. Beware! read more

This business is corrupt and mismanaged. When signing up they managed to convince me to go on a monthly plan saying if I cancelled by a certain date, then my account would not be charged. Two problems: 1) The girls at the desk assigned my account information to another user. Once they caught it and figured it out it was fine... It was a hassle and wildly inconvenient when I went to go tan, BUT 2) When I went to cancel, they did not properly process the account cancellation, even though I went into facility and told them. They made a note of the cancellation request on my account but DID NOT process it and did NOT tell me that I needed to sign something even when I asked them if I needed to do anything else. I was charged. THEN the district manager said that they could NOT reverse the charges for THEIR mistake, but they'd offer me "store credit." She also told me that I need to GO ONLINE or into the store to get it cancelled or I would continue being charged. I laughed. Online, the website says the only way to cancel is in store. I go in store and they don't process it. Then she This is beyond ridiculous. I filed a charge back to my credit card. Do NOT sign monthly service. Go to any other salon that had better customer service options. read more

It was my first time and last time coming to this place. I came in for mh spray tan and I purchased the after shower lotion, I got back home and noticed that it has ingredients im allergic to so I called the place and told them my concerns and I would like to return it (it wasn't a week since I bought it and it's unopen). The girl I talked to said she doesn't know then she put me on hold for a while, she got back to me saying she can't issue refunds, I again explained my issue and told her that the lotion is not even opened and im allergic so she put me on hold then got back to me saying the manager said she'll offer me store credit which im not happy about. I asked to talk to the manager and the girl said to email customer service and I did. However, I did not get any replies. So I called the salon again a week later. The policy says refund its original value within 7 days or 3/4 full. I wanted to cancel my membership, and they put me on hold AGAIN for like 20 mins and then told me she can't do anything about it and has to help customers currently in store. Very had experience, do not come here they don't care about their clients. read more

I absolutely love this place, and I love Courtney and her staff -- Sarah, Ashley, and Christine. They are all such professionals. They know which beds are best for the tan you desire, they are excellent at up-selling the best lotions and products, and they always seem to remember which bed you like. When I walk in, the salon is always clean and fresh smelling and they make me feel as though they were waiting for me to come! Always a good way to start my day, which is why I have recommended PBT to my friends. Fondly, Miss Tina (I use the salon in Beverly Hills) I don't know why this yelp has my name as Kalimba S.? read more

I ended up having to wait over an hour and 15 minutes for a spray tan. The girl at the front didn't bother telling me that the other spray machine was broken, nor that there were 4 people ahead of me!!! I just sat there and waited, thinking I MUST be next. It took the woman who came in after me to say something about how it was incredibly rude that she wasn't telling anyone there was a wait. Talk about poor common curtesy! They clearly just wanted to take our money and didn't care about our time at all! Extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

The best service every time I visit! Love the girls! All are so friendly and happy to help ! This is consistently the slowest location!! One employee checking in your clients while I'm in a line 9 deep. The wait time to even check in was 24 minutes. If and when there is another employee present, they always seem to be "training" and unable to "work the computer." Your company is losing revenue by lack of leadership, competence, training, and most importantly customer service! This is an absolute ploy to take money from your clients while withholding the product we've already purchased. I won't be renewing a membership. read more

Palm Beach Tan on Tustin and Katella is hands down the best tanning salon I have gone to. You walk in the door and you are greeted by the most amazing women. I have been going here for 2 years now and absolutely love it. There are special offers and deals all the time and the beds are constantly getting improved with new bulbs and new products. The spray tans are also amazing, you can create your own mixture for the perfect color. Additionally, Ella DeClark is always working and always brightens my day every time I see her. I hope you all get a chance to go in, get your tan on, and get a smile from Ella. read more

I have a tanning membership as well as my son did previously. I still have mine and his was cancelled last year. I had a recent problem with cancelling my sons tanning membership and did not realize that funds were still being taken out of my account. I agree I should have been checking on this, however, my membership is a auto pay as well as his was too. This was about 8 months ago.My son had stopped tanning that entire time. I signed a cancellation and I guess I did not keep a copy of the cancellation that I signed. I was and still tan at this location. Needless to say I asked for my money back and they would not agree! Such a shame!! I think the customer service is very poor and will be making a change very soon! read more

I love Palm Beach Tan for more reasons than I can write - I go to the Beverly Hills Salon, where staff leaders Courtney, Christina, Ashley, and Sara are all top of the line professionals, with just enough personality, knowledge of the products, sense of humor and efficiency. The calmness of the staff and their desire to make the experience pleasurable, fun, and safe is unmatched. They know which beds and products are best for the desired results you want, and the wait time is never longer than a few minutes. I feel like I am at the beach with friends when I come here - I have been a member for 5 years and I am so grateful for their human kindness most of all. Sincerely, Tina Barista read more

I came in to get a spray tan the night before vacation. I paid upwards of $65 without knowing the girl added enhancers without my knowledge. She then charged me BEFORE telling me there was about an hour wait!! I had to get in and out to pick up my daughter. I feel it was very poor customer service and lack of respect for customers' time. I will never return. And the tan only lasted 2-3 days. I should have demanded a refund and gone elsewhere. Lesson learned. read more
