Let me start off by saying that the business owner is very sweet and friendly. This review has more to do with the quality of the service vs the customer service itself. I have been getting my full face threaded for years and have been to many different threading salons. Recently I moved back to OC so I had to find a new salon as my go-to is all the way in northern CA. I figured that with the 5-star rating at this salon I would get excellent quality but that has not been the case. The first time I came here, my skin was so irritated that there were 2 or 3 spots that started bleeding on my eyelid and cheeks. I still decided to give this place a second chance because I wanted to attribute the first visit to bad luck. However, this second visit only proved that the quality is not good. I have so many stray hairs still left on my face despite telling the owner that I still had hairs in certain places like my upper lip. I ended up just telling her that it was fine and left after paying because she had other clients waiting and was clearly in a rush. There should also be a better system for booking because I called to ask if I could come in at a certain time and she said yes, but then there were many people waiting for at least 15 minutes which only seemed to make her feel rushed. She should allow enough time for each appointment so the work isn't sloppy. Wanted to like this place but I'll be looking elsewhere from now on. read more

I regret coming here. Paru doesn't have an eye for detail/symmetry. She also rushes. My eyebrows look like distant cousins, not sisters. She told me to just fill it in with pencil, when I said I wasn't happy with them. Along with saying that it's fine if I don't return, and to look for other threading places. (This was before I said I'm not returning!) I shouldn't have to draw in my eyebrows to hide your work and be happy with them. That's why I came to a seemingly reputable threader. I bought a Groupon good for 2 Brazilian waxes. The Groupon expired less than 5 months ago. However, it is still good for $39 towards services. It literally says this on the face of the Groupon. The owner tried to get out of honoring the Groupon value. She first claimed I had been there before, which I have not. Then she said I can only use it this month - then she mysteriously has no availability for the entire last week of May which mean I have to use it NOW. She refused to allow me to make an appointment for next month. I contacted Groupon and they said she was incorrect and refunded my money. Even after I told her that Groupon said she was wrong, her attitude was poor stating that since she offered me a chance to use it this month, it was my problem. This woman's poor attitude and extremely shady business practices mean I will never use this business on principle. read more

I have been going to see Paru for threading and Brazilian I waxing and she is amazing!!! It is obvious that she loves what she does and takes her time to make sure she does her best work. It's hard to find someone that genuinely wants you to look good when you leave her shop, so I am so happy to have found my brow and Brazilian specialist all in one place! For threading- she makes sure that my eyebrows are shaped and clean each time. She also ensures that she follows COVID protocols, so I feel very safe going to her during these crazy times. I also recently had her do my Brazilian wax. She offers regular wax, hard wax, and sugaring. I did the regular wax and the last time tried the hard wax. Both are great! The best part of getting this done with her is that she was able to wax everything quickly, but still making sure I left super clean. I've been to other waxing salons, and it takes so long which makes the pain worse (in my opinion, I just need it to get done fast so it's not as painful.) I am super sensitive and she is always careful and offers options that work best for ur skin. For example, I used to get my eyebrows threaded with her but it was always super painful and irritated my skin so she offered to do hard way for my brows, I love how she uses hard wax on my brows and the results are wonderful. Please make sure to call and make an appointment! I called ahead once for a walk in and I was a little annoyed when I arrived and the shop was locked and Paru wasn't answering the phone, but I had such a great experience with Paru before, I gave it another shot and made an appointment the next time. Paru locks the door for safety issues when she waxes another customer so I can't really complain. Love how Paru doesn't thin/ arch my brows too much. There's no shortage of threading salons around OC, but I drive 25min to see her so I guess that says something. Good prices too! read more
